Jealous
In the dining area, Wen Yan took a glass of juice. He had already eaten dinner, but he felt a little thirsty. Su Jibai was eating a fruit platter next to him.
"Ayan." Liu Xirou smiled sweetly and walked gracefully over, arm in arm with Long Chen.
Her long, jet-black hair cascaded over her shoulders, a diamond necklace adorned her fair neck, and her elegant, light blue dress revealed a glimpse of her snow-white calves.
Long Chen was dressed in a silver-gray suit. He had handsome eyebrows and bright eyes, and his eyes revealed a hint of arrogance, which attracted attention.
"Wow," Wen Yan said, clinking glasses with Liu Xirou while holding her juice. "Xirou, you're so beautiful."
Liu Xirou smiled and said, "Ayan, you're handsome too."
They were wearing light blue suits and light blue dresses, and two people next to them were looking at them strangely.
The two exchanged a smile, and Wen Yan swirled her glass, saying, "We didn't discuss what to wear to the ball."
Long Aotian gritted his teeth inwardly: This is really annoying; he should have ordered a blue suit too.
Long Chen imagined that scene: three people wearing similar colored dresses. Why did it feel even stranger?
Su Jibai didn't mind as much as Long Chen. White and light blue went well together, and Wen Yan even had his rose tucked into her bosom.
"Ah Chen, what do you think?" Liu Xirou turned around and asked.
Long Chen then snapped out of his own world. He hadn't heard anything, and could only say, "If you think it's good, then it's fine."
"Alright, let's go together tomorrow." Liu Xirou's smile revealed a hint of anticipation.
Long Chen was taken aback. "Where to?"
Liu Xirou: "Let's go to Ke's villa on the mountain. They're having a New Year's Eve party."
Long Chen looked around and realized that there were so many people gathered around him, men and women chatting happily with smiles on their faces.
Ke Shuyao laughed and said, "Then let's go dancing first. Don't forget to come to the party tomorrow, everyone."
The crowd cheered and headed to the dance floor with their partners.
Wen Yan danced another dance with Su Jibai and originally wanted to go up to rest, but Liu Xirou invited him to dance.
Liu Xirou smiled gently, her eyes clear as a stream, and extended her hand, "Ayan, dance with me too."
Upon hearing this, Long Chen's face instantly darkened. He gripped his wine glass tightly and glared at Wen Yan with an icy look, as if to say, "If you dare to agree, you're dead."
She never invited me to dance!
Wen Yan seemed to hear the sound of Long Aotian's heart breaking. Facing Long Aotian's intimidating gaze, he curled his lips and grasped Xiao Baihua's hand, "Okay."
Who's afraid of who!
The Second Waltz is still playing! Long Chen is extremely jealous, but he is helpless and can only watch them dance, yet he is unwilling to accept it.
Seeing that Long Chen's expression was becoming more and more distorted, Su Jibai patted Long Chen's shoulder and pushed him onto the dance floor.
Wen Yan and Liu Xirou danced the waltz, their movements light and cheerful, their faces beaming with happy smiles.
Liu Xirou suddenly said, "Ayan, I learned about your brother's struggle with Ji Huaixuan from Achen. I know you know a bit about Ji Huaixuan, but I still want to remind you that Ji Huaixuan is not someone who can be easily plotted against."
"If he is tricked, he will definitely pay back a thousand times over."
Liu Xirou opened her mouth as if to say something, but then stopped.
Wen Yan didn't notice Liu Xirou's unusual behavior. He assumed that she had temporarily gotten rid of Ji Huaixuan, and that her brother had a direct argument with Ji Huaixuan. He thought that she said those words out of concern for Liu Xirou and her brother.
"Okay, we'll be careful." Wen Yan smiled. "You be careful too."
"Hmm." Liu Xirou lowered her eyes, concealing the seriousness in them.
Long Chen kept a close eye on their movements, and whenever Wen Yan touched her waist, he gritted his teeth and said, "Couldn't he have just spun around instead? He's definitely doing it on purpose!"
Seeing Su Jibai's calm expression, Long Chen looked at him and asked, "Aren't you worried at all?"
"What's the rush?" Su Jibai smiled faintly. "It's just a dance of friendship."
Long Chen ignored Su Jibai's words and continued to stare at their actions with hatred, wishing he could go down and separate them immediately.
After they finished dancing and came up, Long Chen couldn't wait to grab Liu Xirou and leave in a flash. Liu Xirou kept looking back, saying, "See you tomorrow, Ayan Su, bye-bye."
Long Chen quickened his pace.
"Bye-Bye."
Su Jibai walked over to the band and said something. The next second, the previous waltz started playing again.
Just when Wen Yan thought he could finally sit down and rest, Su Jibai smiled and pulled him into the dance floor, "Would you like to dance with me one more time?"
Seeing his smile, Wen Yan shamelessly agreed, leaving his aching legs to suffer.
The dance Su Jibai pulled him to was Frist Dance. Wen Yan chuckled to himself. He had thought Su Jibai wouldn't be jealous when he saw his calm expression on the dance floor, but it turned out he was just more composed than Long Aotian.
When the song ended, Wenyan felt a great weight lifted off her shoulders; she could finally rest.
Does dancing with me make you tired?
Wen Yan smiled and said, "Jumping one is not tiring, but jumping four in a row will make you tired."
Su Jibai couldn't help but lower his head and kiss his lips, and a loud gasp came from the side.
Rumors of Wen Yan and Su Jibai being together are one thing, but seeing it with one's own eyes is another. Everyone was incredibly surprised and excited, and silently took out their phones to open the group chat.
Wen Yan knew he had always been at the top of the school forum's discussion list, but he was still a little bothered. He squeezed Su Jibai's hand hard, "It's all your fault! Couldn't you have just been more patient?"
Su Jibai: "I was wrong, please kiss me back."
Wen Yan said angrily, "I want to bite you!"
Su Jibai asked ambiguously, "Shall we go outside?"
"roll!"
After sitting on the sofa in the rest area for a while, Wen Yan felt like he was being pricked by thorns. Couldn't these people tone down their gossipy gazes? He turned around and glared at them, and the group scattered to do their own things.
Wen Yan wished she could leave immediately, but she hadn't done what she promised Lin Jiapeng, so she couldn't leave for the time being.
Su Jibai was called away again, and with no one to chat with, he could only play on his phone.
At this moment, the emcee, with a smile on her face, took the microphone and said, "Dear teachers and students, the next piece is the last song of the dance..."
"Hey!" Lin Jiapeng jumped out from behind him.
Wen Yan was startled; his attention was diverted before he could finish listening to the host.
"Want to dance? Let's go." Seeing that Lin Jiapeng had come to find her, Wen Yan relaxed. After dancing the last dance, she could go home and sleep.
Seeing that Wen Yan was so agreeable, Lin Jiapeng was even more pleased, his smile beaming with pride and joy.
Upon hearing the host say "the last piece of music," Su Jibai immediately rushed back from outside and headed straight for the rest area.
Most of the people in the rest area had left, leaving only a few scattered individuals. He looked around but still couldn't spot Wenyan.
He probably went to the restroom. Su Jibai took out his phone to send him a message.
"Looking for Wenyan?" Long Chen, who was passing by, smiled and patted his shoulder, pointing towards the dance floor. "Isn't that her?"
Su Jibai's questioning gaze vanished upon seeing a pair of figures on the dance floor, his eyes now covered in frost, radiating a chilling coldness.
"Don't be like that, it's just a dance of friendship." Long Chen seemed to have gotten his revenge, laughing as he led Liu Xirou to dance one last dance.
Liu Xirou said helplessly, "Achen..."
Long Chen's smile faded. "It was just a little joke."
The two people on the dance floor were chatting and laughing intimately, which was quite jarring.
Su Jibai put away his phone and slowly walked towards the dance floor. When he reached the edge of the dance floor, he stopped.
If he forcibly takes Wen Yan away, it will definitely cause quite a stir. Wen Yan hates being gossiped about, and if he really does that, perhaps they will...
Under the magnificent crystal chandelier, Lin Jiapeng's eyes shone like stars, and even the strands of his hair seemed to glow.
Wen Yan looked at his attire and felt a little uncomfortable. Lin Jiapeng usually wore either sportswear or a school uniform, but today he looked exceptionally refined, even wearing some perfume.
Noticing Wen Yan's gaze, Lin Jiapeng smiled and winked at him, "How is it? Aren't I handsome?"
Wen Yan nodded. "Very handsome."
Lin Chia-peng appeared calm on the surface, but his heart was in turmoil. It was worth it for him to start getting his hair and makeup done at noon.
Su Jibai stood by the dance floor, staring at them expressionlessly, his hands slowly clenching.
As the last dance music ended and the lights dimmed, leaving only the central crystal chandelier, the atmosphere was filled with affection, and couples kissed one after another.
With a "thump," colorful ribbons and petals fell down, fluttering and swirling.
Wen Yan put down her hand that was holding Lin Jiapeng's and said with a smile, "I'm leaving now, see you tomorrow."
Lin Jiapeng leaned down with a mischievous grin, "Wait a minute, there's something on your head."
Wen Yan thought he had a ribbon on his head, so she stopped and let Lin Jiapeng take it off.
Before his hand could even fall, the person in front of him was pulled away. Lin Jiapeng looked at the person with the sinister eyes with a smile in his eyes.
Su Jibai gave him a cold glance, grabbed Wen Yan's wrist, and turned to leave.
Wen Yan was practically dragged along by Su Jibai until he was out of sight. Su Jibai then stopped, and Wen Yan, confused, asked, "What's wrong with you?"
Ahead lies Swan Lake. Under the moonlight, a pair of black swans, necks intertwined, float on the water, their wings fluttering, creating ripples on the surface.
Wen Yan keenly sensed that Su Jibai was in a bad mood, and he let him hold his hand.
Su Jibai stared at the pair of black swans for a long time, and after a moment the coldness in his eyes returned to normal. He then released Wenyan's hand.
Wen Yan stood in front of him, looked up and saw that his expression was unusually calm. An unease rose in Wen Yan's heart, and she asked again, "What's wrong with you?"
"Why did you dance with Lin Jiapeng?" Su Jibai stared intently at Wen Yan and said, "No, I'm asking why you danced the last dance with Lin Jiapeng."
"He asked me if I could dance the opening dance with him. I heard from Mosa and the others that the opening dance is usually for couples, so I declined. Then he asked me if I could dance the last dance with him. I thought it didn't have any special meaning, so I agreed."
Wen Yan looked puzzled. "Are you angry because of this?"
Su Jibai didn't know what expression to make, but the anger in his heart turned into a smile. "The opening dance and the last dance are danced by couples. It's a school tradition."
Wen Yan's expression froze instantly. No wonder so many people were kissing when the lights went out at the end.
Su Jibai was even more furious, not only because Lin Jiapeng had taken advantage of the loophole, but also because he was annoyed that he had made a mistake despite his careful planning.
With her back to the moonlight, Wen Yan's long eyelashes fluttered, and her usually cunning and lively eyes now appeared cautious.
Su Jibai sighed, "I'm not angry with you, I'm angry with myself."
"Why..." Before Wen Yan could finish speaking, Su Jibai lowered his head and kissed him.
Licking his soft lips, Su Jibai, for some unknown reason, took a small bite.
Wen Yan cried out, trying to push him away, but he held her tightly, so she had no choice but to bite him back.
When the two parted, their lips were both glistening and moist. The bite mark on Wen Yan's lips had disappeared, but Su Jibai's was still clearly visible.
Wen Yan touched it with her finger guiltily, "It should go away by tomorrow, right?"
