“Alright!” Jerry stood up and gave Chi Xia a gentlemanly bow: “It is my honor to serve Xia Xia.”
After saying that, he opened the space and went inside to prepare.
As soon as Jerry left, Zhang Xin and the others couldn't wait to gather around Chi Xia and surround her.
Zhang Xin asked curiously, "Sister Chi, where did you pick up such a loyal dog?"
Strictly speaking, Jerry really was picked up by Chi Xia.
She had just arrived in this world and was on her first day of university registration when she met Jerry standing in the square on her way there.
Chi Xia watched as he asked several passersby, only to be met with a chorus of shakes of the head. He stood blankly in the crowded square, his handsome face, even among foreign friends, contorted with a bitter expression, his deep blue eyes looking as if he might burst into tears at any moment.
Chi Xia couldn't resist and went up to talk to him. She then learned that after checking out of the hotel, his phone was out of battery and he couldn't speak the language, so he had to ask people for directions.
But the key point is...
Chi Xia looked around: "Why are you asking this in a place where elderly people are doing square dancing?"
Jerry wasn't a China expert back then and didn't understand the meaning behind Chi Xia's probing question. He just scratched his head and looked at her hopefully: "Can you tell me how to get to FD University?"
Despite Jerry's tall and muscular build, his handsome face and those big, watery blue eyes make him look almost like a large dog.
Chi Xia, ever the busybody, said, "Perfect timing! I'm also going to FD University to register. Let's go together."
Chi Xia looked at Zhang Xin and the others, and touched her chin: "I think Jerry might have a 'baby bird complex'. Anyway, ever since then, he has always said that I am the angel in his life. Plus, I am his Chinese teacher for most of the time, so he treats me a little differently. He is a very nice person and very innocent."
Zhang Xin felt that it wasn't Jerry who was naive, but Chi Xia.
She looked at Chi Xia and asked tactfully, "So, do you think Jerry is better, or Han Junche?"
good?
Chi Xia frowned: "Your question is almost incomparable. A-Che is cold-hearted and doesn't even bother to look at people he doesn't know well. Jerry, on the other hand, is simple, warm, and generous. If we're talking about who's better, then Jerry is definitely better."
"Oh no!" Liu Daniu slapped his forehead. "I called him 'brother-in-law' by the wrong person those few times."
Li Han glanced at him and said to Chi Xia, "Zhang Xin might have asked a bit too subtly. Let me be blunt with you, Sister Chi."
Chi Xia nodded: "Go ahead and ask."
Li Han carefully considered his words: "Sister Chi, who do you like? Or rather, who should we call brother-in-law from now on?"
Chi Xia frowned as she looked at Li Han, then at Zhang Xin and Liu Daniu, who were standing to the side with expectant looks on their faces, before she realized what they were talking about.
Chi Xia immediately laughed: "You've misunderstood, you've really misunderstood. Jerry doesn't treat me the way you think."
Chi Xia thought for a moment and said, "Let me put it this way: in Jerry's heart, I am like an idol. Back when I was pursuing A-Che, he put in a lot of effort."
"Really?" Zhang Xin looked at her. "I don't believe it at all."
"real."
Seeing Li Han and the others' disbelieving expressions, Chi Xia was both amused and exasperated: "If you don't believe me, wait until he comes out and ask him."
Not long after, Jerry came out carrying a table with a gas stove and a pot on it. Before Chi Xia and the others could speak, he disappeared back into the space.
After several rounds of coming and going, a lot of dishes were brought out one after another, of course, the ones that Chi Xia had specifically requested made up the majority.
