After he finished setting things up, he took out five chairs from his spatial storage, leaving the other chairs aside. He arranged one chair first, wiped it clean, and then smiled at Chi Xia, saying, "Xia Xia, you must be tired. Sit down first, and you can eat in a little while."
Their eagerness was almost unbearable to watch.
Jerry seemed to have only eyes for Chi Xia. After putting the chair aside, he ignored Zhang Xin and the others, and didn't even say "sit down." He just busied himself making hot pot broth while talking to Chi Xia.

The hot pot was bubbling and steaming. Chi Xia put several pieces of meat on a plate on the ground, and Mengmeng rushed over with a yelp.
Watching it wolf down its food, Li Han reflected on himself for the first time: "I always fed Mengmeng cooked food before. Was that too cruel to it? It is a wolf after all."
Chi Xia smiled and said, "It's okay. With Jerry around, Mengmeng will definitely get plenty of meat."
Hearing this, Li Han felt even more disappointed: "Sister Chi, is my job as a chef going offline?"
Before Chi Xia could speak, Jerry's eyes suddenly lit up: "You're a chef? That's great! I'll provide the ingredients, and you can cook. We're determined to help Xia Xia regain all the weight she's lost."
Seeing Jerry waving his spoon with such excitement, Li Han's disappointment vanished instantly, and he immediately asked Jerry how much stuff he had in his space.
The chef and the farmer had a very professional conversation, discussing everything from various seasonings to different grades of beef. They got so engrossed in their conversation that they almost forgot the hot pot was still cooking.
It wasn't until Chi Xia couldn't resist putting the food in the pot herself that Jerry realized what was happening: "Xia Xia, you leave it, I'll do it."
With Li Han and Jerry's prior interaction, the group finally became quite familiar with each other. Jerry even brought out his homemade wine, and everyone sat around the table eating hot pot and drinking wine, thoroughly enjoying themselves.
After a hearty meal, Liu Daniu patted his belly and said, "My goodness, I almost forgot we're in the apocalypse."
Everyone nodded, and even Mengmeng joined in with a "woof".
After finishing the hotpot meal, it started to get light. None of them were sleepy, so they started chatting.
Of course, Zhang Xin and the others were curious whether Jerry's feelings for Chi Xia were just as Chi Xia had said—that he only saw her as an idol.
Liu Daniu, who couldn't hide his feelings, asked bluntly, "Jerry, do you have any ulterior motives towards our Sister Chi?"
Jerry was a white man with very fair skin, and his face turned red at a visible speed after Liu Daniu said that.
