Little Tail shook its head and, upon hearing that the princess was asleep in the dwarf's bed, pouted and asked, "Is she stupid? How can she sleep anywhere? Isn't she afraid of bad people? Wasn't she just being chased? How can she still be so careless?"
Chi Xia was speechless at these words and explained for Snow White, "She had been running around all day, and was tired and hungry. She finally found a small house and fell asleep."
Little Tail snorted: "She's stupid. Even if she was tired and hungry, she should have found a place to hide and made sure it was safe before coming out, instead of just falling asleep at someone else's house. Besides, she doesn't know the law and is rude. Just because no one's home, does that mean she can just walk in?"
"Shouldn't everyone wait for the owner to return before going in? What's the difference between this and being a thief? In our empire, this is called trespassing!"
Chi Xia slammed the book down in her hand: "I can't tell this story anymore!"
Upon hearing this, Xiaoweiba immediately cowered and hurriedly said, "Mom, I was wrong, I was really wrong. Please give me a chance, I promise to be good. Please continue."
Chi Xia took a deep breath before picking up the book and starting to tell the story again.
When she talked about the witch queen giving Snow White the poisoned comb, Little Tail's mouth couldn't help but move, but when he saw Chi Xia glaring at him, he obediently closed it again.
When he mentioned Snow White eating the poisoned apple, his mouth moved again, but then he shut up under Chi Xia's cold aura.
When the story got to the part where the coffin was thrown and Snow White was jolted back to life, Little Tail couldn't hold back any longer: "What nonsense! Wasn't Snow White supposed to die from poisoning? Turns out she choked on an apple? If that's the case, what kind of poison did the Queen use?!"
"Shouldn't the poison have already entered the body? How could the poison be sucked out with the apple? Hasn't Snow White ever seen an apple? Doesn't she chew apples before? Did she swallow them whole? Is she mentally challenged?"
A series of rhetorical questions left Chi Xia speechless.
She jumped up, turned around, and threw the book at Han Junche, angrily saying, "Come on, you do it!"
Han Junche took the book and smiled.
He stepped forward, put the book aside, put his arm around her waist, and said to Little Tail, "This is a fairy tale. The world of fairy tales cannot be measured by the standards of the real world. You are not suitable to listen to these. Tomorrow, Dad will tell you the story of Edison."
Little Tail blinked its eyes, looking somewhat aggrieved, and asked Chi Xia, "Mommy, do you still love me?"
Chi Xia gritted her teeth: "Love!"
Hearing this, Xiaoweiba cheered up again and said to Han Junche, "Okay then, Dad, tell me the story of Edison tomorrow."
Normally, after a short bedtime story each day, Xiaoweiba goes into hibernation, and this has now become a habit.
After saying this, he proactively said goodnight to Chi Xia and Han Junche, and then went to sleep.
Chi Xia turned off the lights and went out with Han Junche, complaining to him, "It's so hard to tell him a story."
Han Junche reached out and touched her head, saying softly, "He's not a normal child, so you can't use the same methods as with ordinary children. Maybe you can try telling him stories about scientific inventions or some fables that aren't divorced from reality; he'd probably like those."
"Alright then." Chi Xia sighed, looked up at Han Junche and said, "Let's try to give Xiaoweiba a little sister. I want a little princess who can listen to fairy tales."
Upon hearing this, Han Junche's eyes lit up, and he immediately picked up Chi Xia in his arms: "I would be honored to accept your offer."
