"Who are you? You can't just look at our security cameras."
"I'm the owner here, I'm looking for someone, hurry up and stop dawdling."
Chen Yu walked into the security room, intending to check the surveillance footage herself, but was stopped by a junior security guard. "Get out now, or I'll call the police."
"I already said I'm the homeowner. My family member is missing, and I need to check the security footage to see where he went!"
She argued with the security guard for a long time, but he refused to back down and insisted that she produce evidence. Chen Yu was too lazy to waste time with him and insisted on watching the surveillance footage first before giving him proof.
Shen Yan leisurely slipped in through the door carrying a bag. As he passed the security room, he thought he heard a familiar voice, like Chen Yu's. But the next second, he thought he had misheard. How could Chen Yu get up so early?
"Will you show it to me or not?!"
Chen Yu's furious voice came from inside, and Shen Yan immediately stopped in his tracks. He looked at the security room in shock, and it really was Chen Yu.
He slowly moved to the security room. "Chen Yu, don't bully people."
Hearing the voice, Chen Yu turned around. She looked Shen Yan over and breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that he was alright. "Where did you go? I called you but you didn't answer?"
"Oh, I didn't hear it because it was in my pocket..."
He was somewhat surprised. Was Chen Yu really concerned about him? The tension and worry on her face didn't seem like an act.
"Dude, do you know this crazy woman?"
"Who are you calling a crazy woman!"
Chen Yu stared wide-eyed at the security guard, who immediately shrank back in fright, muttering something like, "A good man doesn't fight with a woman."
"My phone is in my pocket, but I have too many things in my hands to reach it."
"Alright, alright, let's go home. My mom can't find you and she's worried sick."
Chen Yu pulled Shen Yan and rushed home. When she opened the door, she saw Li Ziyun looking preoccupied, sitting on the sofa looking at her phone.
