Chapter 2

Chapter 2

"Have you mastered the Rinnegan's abilities?" Chigusa couldn't help but question. It's understandable that he didn't trust Rokudo Mukuro; the Rinnegan had just been transplanted into his eyes by the lab, and he'd been unconscious for so long—where would he have had the time to adapt to the abilities the experiment had given him?

After waking up, he said he wanted to escape together and even said he wanted to show them the power of the Rinnegan. This doesn't seem very reliable at all.

These people were all experimental subjects; how could they not know that after being experimented on, surviving was a stroke of luck! Let alone being reminded that they would immediately gain power upon arrival.

Rokudo Mukuro completely ignored Chigusa's doubts. Having lived together for decades, Rokudo Mukuro knew his subordinates' personalities inside and out.

He knew that Chigusa had always been a calm, collected, and cautious person. He had lived with Chigusa, who had such a temperament, and the hot-tempered dog for decades. He didn't say it, but he had long considered them his family. After his death, the limited-edition chocolates he left behind were all meant for them to inherit.

As their superior, it is his task and responsibility to lead them out of their misery.

And what about Chigusa and Inu? Ever since Rokudo Mukuro took them out of the laboratory and let them see the light, they have become Rokudo Mukuro's die-hard fans. To put it bluntly, they almost worship him as a god.

It's just a fresh start now.

"We'll launch our attack tonight and leave this place," Rokudo Mukuro said firmly to the two men, gently touching his right eye and feeling the sudden sensation under his fingertips.

His mental strength hadn't diminished, but his body was still that of a child, which hindered his ability to exert his power. Therefore, Rokudo Mukuro needed to familiarize himself with his body beforehand.

He stretched out his hand, and an indigo flame appeared on his fingers, the leaping flame bright and unfathomable.

"What is this? Is it the power of the Rinnegan?" Inu stared curiously at the indigo flame that appeared on Rokudo Mukuro's finger.

"Kufufufu, this isn't the power of the Rinnegan. This is the Dying Will Flame." Looking at the small flame, Rokudo Mukuro, for once again, thought of the Vongola group. He thought with a wicked grin: They'll definitely meet again this time, and he'll definitely make the scene even more interesting!

With the Death Flame still burning and his mental strength intact, using illusions is no problem at all! Although he hasn't reached his peak, it's more than enough to deal with these scumbags from the Estraneo family. With his current strength, he can ensure absolute success.

As for the power of the Rinnegan, he had no intention of using it at all. He just wanted to deceive the Senju and the others, give them some confidence, and reassure them.

After all, even if the Rinnegan is 100% compatible with him, and now it's a perfect match, it's still not the original device, and it always needs a period of adjustment.

Because the lab staff had placed the Rinnegan in Rokudo Mukuro's right eye, they checked on him every few days, fearing he might die and disrupt their experiments.

As night deepened, the number of people who came to observe the monkeys gradually decreased.

A dark night with a high moon and a strong wind—a perfect day for murder and arson.

Even though they couldn't see the sky, the moon, or feel the wind from inside the lab, Chigusa and Inu could still sense the tense atmosphere that seemed ready to erupt at any moment, and the intense killing intent emanating from Rokudo Mukuro, as time passed.

"Kufufufu, open your eyes wide and watch carefully!" Rokudo Mukuro stood up from the cell where they were being held. He skillfully used illusion magic to conjure his signature weapon—the trident.

Rokudo Mukuro was conceiving an illusion in his mind when he opened his eyes. Before him lay a volcanic field, scorching hot, spewing lava, and beautiful lotus flowers blooming from within it. This realistic yet beautiful scene spoke volumes about the danger he was in.

"6...No, Lord Mukuro!! What is this? The power of the Rinnegan?" Inu was the most excited. In the eyes of the people in the laboratory, he was already a piece of waste material, destined to die. But now a child his age said he could take him out, and the power he displayed gave him hope for life. How could he not be excited? Such power was beautiful yet dangerous, yet it also nurtured the hope of life deep within.

"Kufufufu, just an illusion." As he spoke, lotus-covered vines gradually wrapped around the prison bars, tightening slightly, and the iron bars crumbled into dust before their very eyes. This scene left Chigusa and Inu both dumbfounded and thrilled.

"Lord Mukuro, can you really take us out of here?!" Even Chigusa, who had been silent until now, had a look of excitement in her eyes. Who would want to die when they could live? They were all still so young, they hadn't even had a chance to see this wonderful world. They couldn't bear to die.

"Everything blocking your way has been reduced to dust. What are you waiting for? Kufufufu, come on over!" Rokudo Mukuro stepped out of the cell ahead of him, turned to look at his two dumbfounded companions, and stretched out his hand to them.

The two children stared blankly at the little boy in front of them, who was about the same size as them. The red firelight reflected on his face, and his red Rinnegan with the number six on it made his originally cute and delicate face look particularly sinister and dangerous.

However, this appearance seemed exceptionally reliable to Chigusa and the dog. They could feel the pounding of their chests, the rushing blood in their veins, and the divine hand extending a hand of salvation to them.

"Yes, Lord Mukuro!"

The two children said in unison, and then quickly walked towards Rokudo Mukuro, reaching out their hands to him.

Freedom and sunshine—words representing beauty—had become too distant for them. Since arriving in this dark, sunless laboratory, living in a cage, they had almost forgotten what they looked like. Now, Master Mukuro had given them a chance, and they would fight tooth and nail to grasp it. The outside world—if they could just catch a glimpse of it, even death would be worth it.

The two children following Rokudo Mukuro discovered that with every step he took, the lava behind him would return to its original state, meaning that where they stood was always safe. This small detail made their gazes towards Rokudo Mukuro even more intense.

The commotion caused by Rokudo Mukuro was enormous, and the alarms in the laboratory built within the family compound quickly went off.

"Lord Mukuro! Someone's coming!" The dog's genes had been altered through human experiments, so his hearing and sense of smell were exceptionally keen, and he heard the footsteps of a group of people from afar.

As they spoke, Inu and Chikusa tried to stand in front of Rokudo Mukuro.

Rokudo Mukuro sighed and pulled the two children behind him, saying, "Kufufu, I don't need your protection. Just open your eyes and watch how I destroy this place!"

A large group of people in black suits and a team of people in white lab coats rushed toward them. Rokudo Mukuro knew they wouldn't shoot him, and unless it was an emergency, they wouldn't kill him.

After all, in their eyes, he was now a very important experimental subject. So important that it concerned the future development of the family. And the people in this family were like madmen, sending their own child into the laboratory for the sake of the family.

This shows just how important his existence is.

But he could not do as they wished.

A group of tall men slowly approached the three children, while Rokudo Mukuro gently waved his trident, and a cloud of indigo mist slowly spread through the laboratory centered on him.

The sight of lava and eerie lotus flowers was enough to make anyone's legs go weak, but these people, for the sake of their so-called family interests—no, for their own interests—still charged towards them resolutely.

As they approached, the once gentle and beautiful lotus flowers transformed into venomous snakes, lunging at the people. The tiny lotuses grew rapidly, coiling around their bodies. The soft, slender vines, seemingly harmless, could wrap around their necks, suffocating them, while the lotus's fragrant aroma could intoxicate and induce unconsciousness.

Believing the lava they saw was fake, they boldly stepped into it, only to find their skin seemingly melting. Fear instantly overwhelmed them, and the intense pain caused them to faint.

Those who came into contact with the indigo mist were unknowingly invaded by illusions, seeing the things they feared most in their lives, and collapsed to the ground as if they had gone mad.

In just a few minutes, Rokudo Mukuro controlled everyone with his genjutsu. This is the most powerful genjutsu master in the world in the future; even though he is currently only in the form of a child, it cannot conceal his immense power.

Chigusa and Inuyasha stared in disbelief. If before they looked at Rokudo Mukuro as someone they admired and revered, now their gazes were as fervent as if they were looking at their god.

Rokudo Mukuro is the god who saved them!

"Lord Mukuro, do we need to kill them now?" Chigusa's first words were clearly about eliminating any potential threats.

Rokudo Mukuro almost nodded on the spot. These scumbags were just an eyesore to begin with, but he thought the people from the Avengers Prison would arrive soon. And then he thought about how long he'd been soaking those canned foods…

Even if he's stronger now than in his previous life, he's still just a child, with two other kids to care for. Killing these scumbags in a fit of anger, only to be hunted down by the Avengers Prison, is a huge waste. His current age and physical condition are completely mismatched with his strength; he might very well be defeated by the Avengers Prison.

Having lived for so many years, Rokudo Mukuro certainly knew what to do at this time, and he could distinguish between what was important and what was urgent.

"Qianzhong, those special bullets that the people in the lab are researching, go and pack up the data, destroy everything that can't be taken away."

"Dog, go open the cell door and let all the surviving children out."

After assigning tasks to the two men, Rokudo Mukuro took his phone from the unconscious man.

As the Mist Guardian of the Tenth Vongola—oops! I misspoke, he didn't join the Mafia. Anyway, he knows a lot of things that shouldn't be things someone his age should know.

For example, the Vongola's internal emergency phone lines! And for another example, the phone number of the warden of the world's most mysterious Avengers Prison. It would be abnormal for him, someone who has lived in the Avengers Prison for over ten years, not to be familiar with it.

He caused trouble, no problem, he can find someone to clean up his mess. Now that Sawada Tsunayoshi isn't there to clean up his mess, he can only go to the Vongola and the Avengers Prison, since that's what they're in charge of, isn't it? Rokudo Mukuro was righteous but also self-righteous.

First, he took the phone and dialed the Vongola's internal number. He used the Vongola as free labor with great ease and without any guilt. Rokudo Mukuro used genjutsu to disguise his voice as that of an adult man, briefly reported to them about the human experiments being conducted there, and then hung up.

In some ways, the Vongola doesn't resemble a Mafia at all; it's more like a charity. But precisely because of this, the children subjected to human experimentation here still have a chance to survive with the Vongola's help.

Finally, he sent a text message to the warden of the Avengers Prison. The message was simple: someone there had violated the Mafia's underworld regulations by setting up a laboratory and conducting research on the Rainbow Children. He told them to come and arrest him immediately.

Given their unwavering commitment to the Rainbow Children, it was only a matter of time before they arrived here.

Free labor is free, so why not use it?

Besides, I'm giving them this as a bonus; shouldn't they be grateful and accept it?
