Chapter 10 Deliberate Seduction
Chapter 10
Yan Jue and Wen Xi shook hands very restrainedly and politely, and then let go after just a few seconds, as if they had never met before.
Yan Jue withdrew his gaze from Wen Xi, looked at the others and said, "Sorry, I kept you waiting for so long."
Chen Qiao: "No, just right."
Ning Haoyu: "You're welcome, you're welcome."
"Now that everyone is here, please take a seat. I'll have them prepare the dishes."
Yan and Su spoke in a casual tone, and did not show any stiffness or excessive rules towards their elders in front of Yan Jue. As he said, although there was a big generation gap between them, they were of similar age and had a good relationship, so they got along more like people of the same generation.
This relaxed way of getting along makes everyone feel relaxed.
Chen Qiao really didn't expect Yan Jue to be so young. He felt that he was less than ten years older than Yan and Su. He looked at Ning Haoyu, took the initiative to pour water for Yan Jue, and said with a smile: "Brother, drink some water."
Yan and Subi Yan were the first to react. They looked at Chen Qiao and the other man and laughed and scolded, "Asshole, you call me brother and take advantage of me."
"No, it's just that my uncle is too young, so he just said it casually." Ning Haoyu lied with his eyes open.
Yan Jue took the tea offered, said thank you, drank a sip, put it beside him and said: "You two have a good relationship."
"Hesu is generous and righteous, and has excellent grades. Everyone likes him very much." Ning Haoyu did not forget the mission of today's dinner, and he and Chen Qiao sang in unison: "I once had acute appendicitis, and it happened to be raining heavily in the early morning and I couldn't get a taxi. It was Hesu who drove me to the hospital in the rain."
This familiar plot of it raining late at night and xx carrying me to the hospital despite the difficulties doesn't sound real, and in fact it is fake.
"Is that so?" Yan Jue looked at Yan Hesu, his tone somewhat surprised, "After not seeing you for a few years, have you become so kind?"
Yan and Su smirked: "...I have always been so kind."
"That's great," Yan Jue said, "Brother and sister-in-law will definitely be pleased to know that you have grown so much."
"I learn everything from you, uncle. After all, you are my role model."
When Wen Xi heard this, he couldn't help but look at the two people opposite him, wondering if being sarcastic is a compulsory course for the Yan family. He raised his eyes to see Chen Qiao and Ning Haoyu's shifting looks, and thought that if he wanted to make up a lie, he had to make a decent one.
Unexpectedly, Chen Qiao secretly threw him a coquettish glance, and a sense of crisis suddenly rose from the bottom of Wen Xi's heart.
Sure enough, the next second.
Chen Qiao spoke up, his eyes sincere, "Uncle, Wen Xi was there at the time, he can testify. If it weren't for He Su's car, I would have died. I can't have this meal today."
As soon as Chen Qiao finished speaking, Wen Xi felt that all eyes were instantly focused on him, including Yan Jue.
"Wenxi, is this true?"
Yan Jue called his name in a light voice, a tone of aloofness he had never heard before. Wen Xi was stunned for a moment, but quickly reacted and nodded: "Although it was raining heavily and difficult to drive, we still got to the hospital safely."
"You told me I was a good kid, little uncle," Yan Hesu said with a sigh, "Grandpa, don't worry. I'll go back to the old house to visit him during the holidays, and check if there are any parrots in the yard that can be skinned and replaced with feathers."
"It's up to you." Yan Jue didn't react. "Just don't stew it."
Wen Xi sat on the left hand side of Yan Jue, his eyes fell on Yan Jue's hand. Wen Xi thought of last night when they held each other tightly while watching the performance, as well as the various photos and videos he had sent to Yan Jue. A hint of red quietly welled up on the tip of Wen Xi's ears.
"Uncle, when did you return to the country?"
Wenxi put the fish meat into the bowl, lowered his eyes to pick out the bones, but in fact he pricked up his ears to eavesdrop.
"Number seven."
Wen Xi slowed down his movements of peeling fish bones. He met Yan Jue at the club on the 8th.
"It's been almost half a month since you came back. When will you return to the old house?"
"Let's talk about it when we have time. I'm dealing with company matters here, and I'll be staying in City A for now. But..." Yan Jue changed the subject, "I'm going on a business trip tomorrow, and I want to see you before I leave."
Wen Xi sat on the side listening to their chat, his eyes slowly moving to the mobile phone placed between him and Yan Jue, with the screen on the table. Wen Xi felt a little guilty when he thought of the pig-headed note that was seen, and silently reached out to cover the phone, and put it in his side pocket without saying a word. When he raised his eyes again, a familiar hand appeared in his sight, with distinct bones, half holding the teacup, and the blue veins on the back of the white hand extended all the way to the wrist, along the black and gold watch, and disappeared into the shirt.
The teacup was pushed towards Wenxi. Wenxi looked up and saw that Yan Jue looked calm and composed, as if he was just pouring a cup of tea for his nephew's friend to show his concern.
Wen Xi reached out to take the teacup. The blue and white teacup was not big, and his knuckles accidentally touched the back of Yan Jue's hand. Wen Xi raised his eyes and met the pair of dark wolf eyes.
"Thank you, brother..." Wen Xi shrank back the words on the tip of her tongue, raised her little face and looked at Yan Jue without blinking, blinked, and said again: "Thank you, little uncle."
Wen Xi saw Yan Jue raised his eyebrows, paused for a moment and said, "You're welcome."
Wen Xi held the teacup in his left hand, but the palm of his right hand hanging by his side was burning. In fact, when they shook hands at the door, they were secretly cooperating with each other behind everyone's back, pretending to be strangers. But just now, while handing over the tea, Yan Jue, although his expression was still cold and distant, secretly hooked his right palm.
Yan Jue stroked Wen Xi's palm just like last night in Area B, when Wen Xi seemed to be careless but was actually tickling him on purpose and not paying attention to the performance and concentrating on playing with his fingers. But Yan Jue's action was too casual and natural, careless, as if he just stroked it carelessly.
There were thin calluses on the man's fingertips. He lightly hooked his fingers around Wen Xi's palm and stroked them. It was light and itchy, and carried a degree higher body temperature. It gathered into a thin electric current, spreading outward along the part where the two people were in contact, and trembled to the waist.
Wen Xi lowered his eyes and bit his lips, pretending to be calm, as if the lingering tremor had never happened. But he didn't know that when he was looking down from above, the porcelain white neck hidden between the hair seemed to have been attacked by this tiny electric current, and it turned a pink color as simple and easy to understand as its owner.
The little episode between Wenxi and Yanjue lasted only a few seconds, and because the two of them behaved naturally enough, the other three did not notice anything unusual.
Even though Yan and Su were surprised that their uncle Yan Jue, who was criticized by family members for being cruel and unlike a living person, would take the initiative to pour water for others, but considering that it was Wen Xi, they did not take it seriously due to their inertia of partiality for many years.
"You're so busy right after returning to China. You finally have some time to rest and you still have to supervise me." Yan and Su continued to chat, and he spread his hands helplessly: "Then your trip was in vain."
Wen Xi heard a faint snort of laughter, raised his eyes to look at the people around him, and Yan Jue poured himself some tea and said, "It's not so wasted."
Wen Xi's eyelids jumped, and he raised his hand to feed the teacup to his mouth, and heard the guest say, "At least, I have seen everyone I wanted to see."
Wen Xi took a big gulp of herbal tea and turned his head to look at Yan Jue. The other party looked at him as if he had sensed something, his eyes were calm and composed, as if nothing had happened.
*
The last soup was served, and the meal was halfway through. Yanjue received a phone call, saying that he had work to attend to, and left the room.
As soon as the door closed, Wenxi felt the vibration of the phone in his pocket.
Buzz buzz buzz.
When I open the screen, the latest unread message comes from my WeChat friend [宴決]. When I click on it again, the system prompts [Y. 拍拍溪流成海]
Apart from this, there is no other information.
Wen Xi sent a message back and waited for half a minute, but there was no reply from the other party.
It was as if Yan Jue, who was supposed to hold the phone to his ear and talk to someone on the phone, accidentally exited the call interface, accidentally clicked on the WeChat icon, then accidentally clicked on their chat interface, and finally accidentally clicked twice on Wen Xi's avatar frame.
Wenxi knew Yanjue did it on purpose, he deliberately lured her out, but Wenxi was really curious. Ning Haoyu and the others were still chatting, Wenxi felt a little impatient, the Shu embroidery screen at the door blocked the situation outside the door tightly, and there was no sign of anyone coming in.
The phone vibrated again.
[Y. Patted the stream and it became the sea]
It was Yan Jue who was on the phone who accidentally took a photo of him.
Wen Xi couldn't sit still anymore and took the bait. He clenched his phone tightly, his heart beating fast. He stood up and said to Yan and Su, "I'm going to the bathroom."
"Turn left when you go out, go around the corridor, and walk a little further, and it will be at the end." Yan and Su pointed the way.
"I understand." Wen Xi nodded, walked around the dining table, walked around the screen, opened the door and walked out of the private room.
The wooden door closed behind him, and in front of him was an empty corridor. He could not hear any conversation, so Wen Xi turned his head to the left, and the warm white light quietly illuminated the road leading to the interior of Shanshuiju.
Wen Xi looked back at the closed door behind him, clutched his phone and walked to the left. There were various private rooms on both sides of the long road, and at the end was a corridor corner. He couldn't see what was behind. Wen Xi was actually not sure which direction Yan Jue would go. He was now taking every step based on his intuition.
The corridor was silent, without any human voice, as if everything in the outside world had been shut out at this moment, leaving only Wen Xi to carefully explore the unknown path ahead.
My heart was pounding.
The length of the corridor was gradually shortening. When Wen Xi was about to turn the corner and walk towards the unknown, the screen of the mobile phone held against his chest suddenly lit up.
Wen Xi lowered his head and saw an unread message from [Y.].
He subconsciously wanted to click it to check, but the next moment, an arm wearing a black and gold watch appeared in his field of vision. Before he could react, Wen Xi was dragged into the room.
Bang.
The door was closed and the lights were off in the room, which was pitch black. Wen Xi's back was suddenly pressed against the door, and her heart almost jumped out of her chest in panic. With a familiar vibration, the phone in her arms finally showed an unread message.
[Y. Patted the stream and it became a sea]
At the same time, the cold woody scent filled his mouth and nose. In the moonlight, Wen Xi met a pair of dark and deep eyes, and a familiar low voice sounded above his head.
"Got you, piggy."
