Chapter 11: Liar is a puppy
Chapter 11
There was only one window in the room. Shanshuiju was backed by mountains and faced the water, so it was very comfortable even on a hot summer night. The evening breeze, mixed with the sparkling moonlight, swayed and drifted into the quiet private room.
He knew Yan Jue would be waiting for him somewhere, perhaps under the eaves of the corridor, or perhaps in the bathroom, but he didn't expect that he would be dragged into an empty room around the corner.
Wenxi leaned against the door panel. The mobile phone turned off automatically because no one touched the screen. The visual range was reduced a little, but the woody scent lingering at the tip of his nose was still strong.
The door panel he leaned his back against was made of some unknown wood, but it felt cool. However, the situation in front of him was completely different. The close distance allowed him to clearly feel the body temperature coming from another man.
The room was so quiet that Wenxi could hear the rustling of clothes.
"What piglet? That's a weird name. I don't know what it is."
Wen Xi leaned his head back slightly against the door panel with his chin slightly lifted. The cold moonlight shone through the windows on the side of them and fell accurately on his upturned fox eyes. The narrow lower eyelids were hooked in a subtle arc, and the eye sockets became rounder because of the upward angle, adding a touch of innocence to Wen Xi's already deceptive face.
Wen Xi looked up at Yan Jue intently, his lips opening and closing as he spoke clearly, "Uncle, did you find the wrong person?"
The room is quiet.
Yan Jue half-lifted his eyelids, the small mole on his throat swaying, and asked in a light tone: "You really don't know him?"
“…I don’t know him.”
Yan Jue let go of him, took a step back, restored a safe distance, and said, "Maybe I caught the wrong person."
Wen Xi's heart moved, and he asked, "What will the uncle do if he finds the target?"
When our eyes meet, the world becomes quiet.
Yan Jue raised his eyebrows, and in front of Wen Xi's surprised gaze, he bent down and approached Wen Xi. Their faces suddenly came close, with their noses almost touching. The man stared at Wen Xi without blinking, and said nonchalantly: "Catch it, roast it and eat it."
Yan Jue's movements were too fast. Wen Xi still kept looking up. His pair of dark and heavy eyes came in front of him. His overly deep and cold eyebrows made him look like a solitary and cruel canine animal, calmly and confidently hunting its prey.
Eyes met.
Wen Xi's pupils trembled slightly, and after a while he raised his hand, placed his palm against the man's throat, and gently tightened it. As time passed, Wen Xi could clearly feel the man's Adam's apple rolling up and down in his palm. He lifted the man's chin effortlessly by pushing up his knuckles on the jawline.
Wen Xi stared at Yan Jue with his eyelids raised, and the other party did not dodge or avoid him, but lowered his eyes and looked at him intently.
Wen Xi suddenly relaxed the strength of his fingertips, and his soft fingertips wrapped around the sexy little mole and slid back along the neck. At the same time, his other hand was raised and wrapped around Yan Jue's neck. While wrapping his hand around Yan Jue's neck, Wen Xi swiped the screen of his mobile phone with one hand and tapped the [Y.] avatar.
At the same time, a message alert sounded from the phone in Yan Jue's right hand hanging by his side.
"Well, you got it."
Wen Xi hugged the man intimately, her lips opening and closing as she whispered softly. Her tone sounded like a grievance or a complaint, but also like a different kind of praise for the male hunter.
"Yan Jue, you are really fierce."
Click.
The lights are on.
The man's cold and abstinent facial features suddenly caught his sight. Yan Jue lowered his eyelids, his vision clear, and his voice was indescribably low and hoarse: "Are you not pretending anymore?"
Wen Xi held her breath and said, "Because I am alone with my brother now. I didn't tell anyone about my work at Niye, so I have to pretend that I don't know my brother. After all, it would be a bit troublesome to explain."
"Um."
"Well, I thought my brother was busy with work and it would take a long time for us to see each other again, but I didn't expect to meet you today. I also didn't expect you to be He Su's uncle." Wen Xi tiptoed closer to Yan Jue, his nose almost touching his. He looked into Yan Jue's eyes intently, and his tone was full of pure doubt: "You two don't seem to be that much older than each other?"
Yan Jue held Wen Xi's waist with one hand and said with drooping eyelids: "My mother is my father's second wife. She gave birth to me relatively late."
"Is that so?" Wen Xi continued, "My brother is ten years older than me."
“…”
"Today is the third time we meet." Yan Jue said suddenly.
Wen Xi was stunned for a moment, remembering that they had planned to wear a small skirt when they met for the third time. She blushed and stumbled, "I didn't expect to meet here... I can't wear it today..."
"There are no miniskirts now..."
The woody scent penetrated into Wenxi's body, like hot threads moving through her body. Wenxi's face was steaming with heat, and she whispered, "Next time."
The room was too quiet. Yan Jue didn't say anything. He just lowered his eyelids and stared at Wen Xi quietly. Being stared at by the long wolf eyes, Wen Xi felt like a pig that was about to be eaten.
He buried his face in the man's shoulder in panic: "I will definitely wear it for you next time we meet."
"real?"
"Really... liars are puppies."
Yan Jue seemed to be simply curious, "What is Wen Wen going to wear?"
Wen Xi didn't know what to wear, but she thought that Yan Jue would be going on a business trip tomorrow, and she had a long time to prepare. She also considered luring customers to come to her, so she pretended to be suspenseful and said, "This is a secret. If I tell you in advance, it won't be a surprise."
"Well, I'm waiting for your surprise."
Wen Xi was about to say something when Yan and Su's voices suddenly came from outside the room.
"Bathroom, no one in sight?"
"Call him?" This was Ning Haoyu's voice.
"I'm fighting now."
In a flash, a caller ID popped up on Wenxi's phone. The soundproofing of the door of this private room was obviously worse than that of the other rooms. Wenxi was frightened, and fearing that Yan and Su outside the door would hear the ringtone, he answered the call almost the moment the phone screen lit up.
"Wenxi?" The roommate's voice rang out in the quiet room, "Where are you now? I went to the bathroom and didn't see you."
The back was gently touched, like a silent comfort. Wen Xi calmed down and said, "I'm visiting Shanshuiju."
"The peony garden? I thought you were lost."
Wen Xi didn't know what a peony garden was, but that didn't stop him from continuing: "Yes, I was a little curious about this place, but I forgot to tell you while I was walking around. Well, I've seen enough now, so I'll go back now."
"By the way, I don't know where my uncle went. Have you seen him? I forgot whether he took his cell phone. I'll give him a call--"
"Ah," Wen Xi could sense that Yan Hesu was not far away. He was not sure what the ringtone of Yan Jue's cell phone was, or how loud it was. In his mind, he had already imagined the awkward scene of Yan Hesu hearing the noise in the room and pushing the door to see him and Yan Jue hugging each other, so he quickly interrupted, "We are together now."
"You guys are together?"
"Yes, I almost got lost just now, and I happened to meet my uncle. Let's go back now."
"Okay, I'll go back to my room now."
After hanging up the phone, Wen Xi breathed a sigh of relief. He had just spoken in a low voice, fearing that Yan and Su would find out.
Wen Xi's hands and feet were a little weak. He hugged Yan Jue's neck, took a deep breath to suppress his panic, and whispered about the thrill just now: "Brother, my heart is pounding now. I'm afraid that my affair will be discovered."
When Wen Xi spoke, he placed his lips behind Yan Jue's ear, and his gentle breath hit his ear.
Yan Jue's Adam's apple rolled up and down, and he tilted his head, his voice a little hoarse: "I didn't find it, don't be afraid."
Three minutes later, Wenxi and Yanjue returned to the private room one after another.
*
As soon as Wen Xi sat down, Chen Qiao joked, "I couldn't find you, and I thought you were kidnapped."
Wen Xi thought that he was kidnapped into the room by Yan Jue, but he didn't show it on his face and apologized very obediently: "Sorry, I was just browsing."
"It's okay. I was just curious and took a look around. Why didn't I see you in the Peony Garden?"
Wen Xi's eyelids twitched, and he looked up to meet Yan Jue's gaze as he came towards him, and said nonsense: "Maybe it's the perspective problem, I didn't see you either."
The roommates weren’t very considerate people, and Wenxi and Yanjue seemed very polite and distant, so they didn’t take it seriously.
Yan Jue sat down, naturally reached for Wen Xi's cup, poured a cup of tea, and placed it on the table.
"Everyone continue."
Seeing that no one was paying attention, Wen Xi took it calmly, raised the tea to his lips with both hands, drooped his eyelids, cleared his mind, and breathed a sigh of relief.
That was a close call.
*
It was already 8:30 in the evening when we finished our meal. We were ready to go our separate ways and walked out of Shanshuiju together.
"It's half past eight. We can still make it there in time." Chen Qiao glanced at his phone and said, "I hope there won't be too many people."
"Aren't you going back to school?"
"We're not going back now. There's a fireworks display tonight at Jianghai Square next door. That area is an upgraded scenic spot. We plan to go take a look."
Wen Xi looked at Yan Jue after hearing this. He was caught in the sight of the man even though there were several people between them. Thinking of the invitation last night, Wen Xi said that if Yan Jue didn't go, he wouldn't go either, but today he was exposed in front of everyone. The man raised his eyebrows, and Wen Xi silently looked away.
Yan and Su interrupted, "If the flight isn't too early, let's go together?"
"The flight is at 5am," Yan Jue nodded and politely declined, "I won't go. Have fun."
"Okay, bye." Yan Hesu glanced at the driver and told him, "Drive carefully on the road."
The driver responded quickly and opened the door for Yan Jue.
"Goodbye, uncle."
"Goodbye, uncle."
Wen Xi stood at the end, looking across the crowd at Yan Jue's dark eyes, curled up the corners of his lips, revealed a polite smile, and followed the crowd in saying, "Bye, uncle."
The Rolls-Royce drove farther and farther away. Without any outsiders present, the few people finally returned to their original relaxed state, laughing and jokingly getting into Yan and Su's Koenigsegg.
Wen Xi had just helped to adjust the navigation route from Shanshuiju to Jianghai Square when the cell phone on his lap rang.
"Wenxi, cell phone." Yan Hesu reminded.
Wen Xi lowered his head and turned over his phone, and an unread message popped up.
[Y]: Have fun.
[Y.]: Can you take a picture and send it to me?
Chen Qiaoning Haoyu in the back row was taking pictures and said that he had checked in on another of Master Yan’s mounts and had to post a circle of friends to record it briefly.
Wen Xi raised his hand and took a photo and sent it over. In the photo, the boy was looking at the camera intently, his nose was red, and he looked a little dazed.
[Y.]: Very cute.
[Y.]: But the photo I’m talking about is the photo of you and the fireworks.
Yan Hesu caught a glimpse of Wen Xi's actions and said with a smile, "You're taking photos and posting them on WeChat Moments too?"
[The stream becomes the sea]:!
Is Yanjue framing him?
Wen Xi was so angry that his face was puffed up. Yan Jue was just framing him!
The accelerator was stepped on and Koenigsegg drove towards Jianghai Square.
"No, just keep it as a souvenir."
[Stream Becomes the Sea]: I’ll give you one for free.
