Chapter 175 Guanyin Shrine (Part Two)

The next morning, after packing up, the group went straight to the Guanyin Temple.

Yongheng lived in a relatively remote place. There were no other residents around except for himself. After walking for a while, he saw some houses. Gradually, more and more people appeared. Along the way, many people greeted Yongheng.

"Yongheng, they all call you Master. Do you teach here?" As Hua spoke, the little bells hanging from her braid jingled.

"I'm not much of a teacher; I just occasionally teach some children to pass the time." He didn't have much time left and had too many things he wanted to do, so he simply did nothing and found some things to do to fill the remaining days.

But now that Chu Yu and the others have arrived, they have brought him hope for survival, so he must find out what exactly happened to Lan Jiao.

"Are there so many people at this Guanyin Temple so early in the morning?" Hua asked Yongheng behind her curiously, looking at the endless stream of people in front of the Guanyin Temple.

"Pretty much. This Guanyin Temple is quite famous in this dynasty, and people come here every day." Yong Heng was already used to this phenomenon. For almost a hundred years since he came here, the incense at this Guanyin Temple has always been very strong.

The group bought some incense and went inside. Except for Hua and Chu Yu, the others all carried incense. Hua and Chu Yu, of course, did not carry any; there was no reason for a deity to worship someone else.

The group felt uneasy upon entering the main hall and seeing the enormous statue of Guanyin.

Hua and Chu Yu didn't go inside, but just looked at it from the outside. They both felt strange. Hua tugged at Chu Yu's sleeve and whispered, "Chu Yu, don't you think this Guanyin statue looks a bit different from the Guanyin Bodhisattva we've seen before?"

"It's not just that she doesn't look like her, Liao Liao, look at her expression."

Hua looked at her closely and exclaimed, "Chu Yu, it looks like she's crying?!"

This discovery was astonishing: the Guanyin statue in such a popular temple was actually crying.

"Let's go take a look at the back." Chu Yu said calmly, pulling Hua to the back.

After avoiding the crowd, Chu Yu waved his hand to make the two of them invisible, returned to the previous place, entered the main hall, and went around to the back of the Guanyin statue.

However, they found nothing unusual. At noon, the group met at the agreed-upon restaurant, and as expected, they all came up empty-handed.

Now we can only wait.

Fifteen minutes later, "knock knock"

Monkey ran in looking disheveled, his small body trembling violently, with tiny wounds all over his body.

"Xiao Qi, what's wrong?" Hua quickly picked Meng Qi up from the ground and put him on a low stool next to her.

"Lan, the River of Oblivion flows beneath Lanzhou!"

"What?!"

The human world's Lanzhou city is actually connected to the River of Oblivion in the underworld?!

"Xiao Qi, slowly explain what you've discovered," Mo Qi said, patting Xiao Mengqi's back.

“Last night, my lord asked me to go and check under the Guanyin Temple. When I arrived at the Guanyin Temple at night, I found nothing. I was about to come back when I suddenly felt a familiar aura under the Guanyin statue. Out of curiosity, I went underground.”

"Unexpectedly, I fell through the soil and plummeted from the sky in less than thirty meters. Fortunately, the adults gave me the Heart-Controlling Bell, which emitted a blue light and lifted me to the shore just as I was about to fall into the river."

"That river is the River of Oblivion?" Meng Qi nodded hastily as he looked at Chu Yu, who had asked him the question.

Chu Yu tapped the table lightly with his fingers as he habitually looked at Meng Qi. "So, according to you, the entire city of Lanzhou is suspended above the River of Oblivion?"

"Yes, sir."
