Chapter 62 The Old Stubborn One!

Jiang Siyan looked down at her obedient head and teased, "This little girl is so good at ordering people around."

Su Er wasn't fooled at all, and proudly raised her head, "You did it."

Jiang Siyan nodded, acknowledging the accusation, "Okay, put Er'er in jail."

As she finished speaking, her fingertips slid down her side to her chest, her rounded nails leaving a faint white mark on her skin, unseen by anyone.

He gripped the hem of his bra, his cold hand seemingly unintentionally brushing against something soft. Su Er's fingers, which were resting on his shoulder, tightened suddenly, and her body trembled slightly involuntarily.

Su Er glared at him angrily: "Behave your hands!"

Jiang Siyan looked completely innocent. "How can I fasten it if I don't lift it up?"

He also... had a reasoned and well-founded argument...

Su Er angrily waved his hand away, "I don't need you to do it, I'll do it myself."

She turned her face away, quickly fastened the clasp, and then lay comfortably on his chest.

Only then did Su Er remember to look out the window and ask, "Where are we going? I haven't eaten yet, I'm so hungry."

"When I got home, I asked Aunt Cui to prepare some dishes."

Su Er had heard him use the word "home" a few times, and she got used to it. She nestled in his arms and nodded, then suddenly sat up and asked, "I can't eat too much. Did you tell Aunt Cui to make less so that it won't go to waste?"

Jiang Siyan pinched the soft flesh of her cheek. "I know, our big star Su needs to maintain her appearance, so I had a few stir-fried home-style dishes made."

The conversation was so simple, yet Su Er felt a warm current flowing through her heart.

To be honest, at that moment, Su Er had the illusion that the two of them were actually living a real life together.

Such thoughts were fleeting. At that moment, even Su Er herself might not have realized the sense of satisfaction that she had suppressed and hidden in her heart amidst the flowing light and shadow.

The car came to a stop in front of the familiar gate, and Su Er ran ahead with light steps, "Aunt Cui!"

Upon hearing her voice, Aunt Cui quickly put down what she was holding and came out to greet her. "Oh my, Xiao Er is here! Come on, come on! Aunt Cui made you some mung bean soup. You can drink it to cool off in a bit."

Su Er smiled and thanked her, "Thank you, Aunt Cui."

Jiang Siyan entered the house a step later, completely forgotten by the two. Anyone who didn't know better would probably think that she was the one who grew up under Aunt Cui's watchful eye.

"Xiao Er, there's another soup. Sit down and wait a bit, it'll be ready soon."

Su Er was fed a bite of cold dish, and after swallowing it, she raised her voice slightly and called out to the kitchen, "Aunt Cui, no rush, I'm all sweaty today, I'll go upstairs and take a shower first, then I'll eat."

Jiang Siyan leaned against the stair railing and said, "You two seem to have a good relationship."

Su Er blinked, tilted her head back, and asked with a bright smile, "Comrade Jiang, who are you jealous of? Aunt Cui's? Or mine?"

Jiang Siyan lowered his eyes to look at her. Her lively eyes were full of cleverness, like a vibrant sunflower, bringing new life to this ancient mansion.

He smirked and reached out to pinch her cheeks. "Little girl, you're really something today, you're even interrogating me."

The nanny's footsteps kept coming and going downstairs. Su Er was always uncomfortable doing such intimate things with him in front of strangers.

She looked at his face as he leaned closer, then suddenly stood on tiptoe and kissed him on the lips.

It wasn't exactly a kiss; more accurately, it was a collision of lips.

Taking advantage of Jiang Siyan's momentary daze, Su Er nimbly dodged his hand and ran upstairs to the second floor. After confirming that it was safe enough, she turned around and made a face at him before quickly running into the room.

The slight pain from the impact on his lips hadn't faded yet. Jiang Siyan watched her back and smiled faintly. This little girl can even use her beauty to her advantage now.

Well, he seems to fall for that.

Su Er pushed open the door to the master bedroom with practiced ease. In the bathroom, all the toiletries had been prepared for her, just like last time.

She turned on the shower, and the steam quickly spread. Washing her hair, taking a shower, and doing skincare took her about half an hour, even if she was quick.

There were no outsiders in the courtyard, so Su Er casually draped the prepared shawl over her forearm, put on a slip dress, and went straight out the door.

The air was filled with the delicate scent of roses and the misty vapor. A small figure, steaming hot, emerged from a cloud of white mist and rushed straight into Jiang Siyan's arms.

Su Er was startled to find himself outside.

Jiang Siyan caught her steadily, "You've been washing for so long, aren't you afraid of getting dizzy?"

Su Er leaned her head against his chest and said, "I do feel a little dizzy."

Taking a shower in the summer is the most annoying thing. It's hot, but it's uncomfortable if you don't shower. If you take a cold shower, you're afraid of getting a headache or catching a cold.

She felt tightness in her chest while her hair was being dried, which is why she rushed out of there in a hurry.

The air conditioning in the room was on full blast, and the pleasant scent of agarwood emanating from Jiang Siyan made Su Er squint her eyes in comfort, and the aches in her back and waist that had been bothering her all day felt much better.

Jiang Siyan straightened her head and said, "Let's go, Aunt Cui will be getting impatient if we don't go down soon."

Su Er gave a lazy "hmm," but still pressed her entire weight onto Jiang Siyan, showing no intention of moving.

"Shall I carry you down?"

Upon hearing this, Su Er snapped out of her daze and walked forward with firm steps. "No need, I can go down by myself."

Jiang Siyan didn't say anything else, but he frowned when he saw the large expanse of skin exposed on her back and instructed, "Put the shawl on."

Su Er grumbled reluctantly, "In the middle of summer..."

Jiang Siyan didn't insist and slowly said, "Sure, if you catch a cold from being exposed to the cold, I'll give your crew two days off."
