Su Er dozed off for a while, and in the early morning, before dawn, she got up quietly and sent a message to Sister Qin in advance.
I quickly went back to the master bedroom to wash up, then grabbed my bag and went downstairs.
The untouched food from last night was still on the restaurant table. Her eyes were sore and swollen; she had to film a scene that night and couldn't cry anymore.
Su Er raised her hand to rub her eyes, and just as she was about to go out, she bumped into Aunt Cui who was pushing the door open.
Aunt Cui was startled. "Xiao Er, why are you up so early?"
Su Er smiled and said, "I have to rush back to filming."
"Has the car arrived?" Aunt Cui asked as she headed toward the restaurant. "Why didn't you tell me beforehand? I could have gotten up early to make you breakfast."
Just as Su Er was about to say no, Aunt Cui turned around and asked her, "Little Er, didn't you eat any vegetables last night?"
Su Er followed Aunt Cui's gaze, paused for a moment, then quickly smiled with relief, "Yes, he ate it last night, throw it away, Aunt Cui."
Aunt Cui noticed something was wrong when she saw her pale face.
Fortunately, Su Er's phone rang at just the right moment, preventing Aunt Cui from asking any more questions.
She hung up the phone, waved her hand, and said, "Aunt Cui, I have to catch my flight, I have to go now."
She walked quickly, and the water droplets splashing on the ground slapped against her calves, mixed with sand and stones, leaving a dull, inconspicuous pain on her skin.
All that running around that night seemed to be just to fulfill a self-deluded dream.
Now the dream is over.
Can a dream really cause a sharp pain in the heart, and stimulate the tear glands to make tears flow uncontrollably?
Lin Shuqin met her at the door and was clearly taken aback. She had been all happy and fine when she arrived, so how did things turn out like this overnight?
Su Er was pale, and her eyes and brows showed signs of exhaustion. She called out to her softly, and then didn't say another word after getting into the car.
When it comes to matters of the heart, Lin Shuqin never asks too many questions. She pats Su Er's hand and says, "You must be tired. Get some rest."
Su Er forced a smile. "Yes, thank you, Sister Qin."

Jiang Siyan's biological clock woke him up precisely at seven o'clock in the morning, and the feeling of emptiness in his arms made him subconsciously frown.
Back in the master bedroom to wash up, the mess revealed the madness of the previous night.
Looking around, all the scattered things that belonged to Su Er last night were now gone.
Jiang Siyan remembered Su Er's stubborn face and the tears she shed last night. He rubbed his temples, trying to relieve the throbbing pain in the back of his head, but unfortunately, it was all in vain.
"Yan-ge'er, get up. You drank last night, didn't you? I made you some hangover soup. It's your birthday today, so we'll have noodles for breakfast." Aunt Cui said busily as she poured him water when she saw him come downstairs.
The warm water flowed down my throat, relieving the dryness and discomfort.
The food on the table was ready. Aunt Cui brought him a bowl of hangover soup, but didn't leave immediately, looking like she wanted to say something but hesitated.
Jiang Siyan put down his spoon. "Aunt Cui, do you have something to say?"
Aunt Cui chuckled. "Yan-ge'er, don't blame me for being nosy, but did you and Xiao-er have a fight last night?"
"She told you that?" Jiang Siyan asked coldly.
Aunt Cui: "How could that be? It wasn't even dawn yet. She was carrying her bag and about to leave when I happened to run into her."
Aunt Cui was used to getting up early; it was still dark, so she must have left around four or five in the morning.
Aunt Cui continued, "That little face was so pale. She didn't even have time to eat breakfast. I called her but she didn't respond. She walked so fast. Look, there's some food left over."
Aunt Cui turned around and took a beautifully packaged gift box and handed it to him. "This young lady is very thoughtful. She contacted me early this morning to celebrate your birthday and asked me to send her your favorite dishes. She practiced them in advance and rushed over yesterday, afraid that she would miss the surprise for you. Her hands were covered in blisters from the oil, and her fair hands looked pitiful."
Jiang Siyan was momentarily stunned. He had glanced at the dishes on the table last night, and they didn't look very appealing. He assumed that Aunt Cui had made the leftovers that she hadn't finished.
Aunt Cui sighed, "Yan-ge'er, putting aside everything else, I can tell from her that the girl has the best temperament and is truly sincere towards you."
Is it sincere?
Jiang Siyan sorted out his thoughts and smiled, "Aunt Cui, it hasn't been long, and your heart is already completely on her side."
"She's so lovable, if I don't side with her, am I supposed to side with you, you little rascal?" Aunt Cui said matter-of-factly. "Alright, I won't say any more, so you won't find me annoying. The noodles are almost cooked, I'll go get them for you."
Jiang Siyan nodded, but as Aunt Cui turned around, he suddenly looked up and asked, "Where are the vegetables?"
Aunt Cui pointed to the trash can, "Leftovers are bad for your health, so I threw them away first thing this morning."
Jiang Siyan didn't ask any further questions, only saying, "I understand."
After breakfast, Jiang Siyan opened the gift box, which was a dark blue striped box.
It matches the cufflinks she gave me last time perfectly.
Jiang Siyan couldn't help but recall the proud look on her face when she put the cufflinks on him, her head held high, her face saying, "Look how good my taste is."
One blessing text message after another popped up on my phone, from friends and family, but the cartoon avatar in my contact list remained silent.
Jiang Siyan opened the chat window, where the message she sent yesterday was still displayed: "Filming early morning scenes is so tiring, I can't even open my eyes."
She rarely complained to him about the hardships and exhaustion of filming. Yesterday's message now seems obvious as a smokescreen sent to avoid him noticing her guilty conscience.
Jiang Siyan recalled the subtle fluctuations in his emotions during this period, the lingering restlessness in his heart for many days, and the loss of control of his emotions the moment he saw her last night.
What is the purpose?
He had a slight clue.
But if you were to delve into the reasons, even he himself would find them laughable.
Thinking of this, Jiang Siyan's gaze gradually turned cold, and indifference and detachment once again covered his eyes.
Aunt Cui was right; she was lovable, but that was all.
Ultimately, she was the girl he had put a lot of effort into, and it was only natural for him to have a possessive desire for her and to be jealous.
His emotions ended there, and could not be explored any deeper.
Jiang Siyan called Su Er and also sent her messages.
But this time the girl was clearly really angry; she didn't answer or reply to any of his calls or messages.
When you call Lin Shuqin, the answer is always the same: "I'm sorry, Xiao Er is filming right now. I'll have her call you back after she finishes filming."
It's just that nothing ever came of it.
Having heard this rhetoric twice, Jiang Siyan naturally had no intention of making a fool of himself again.
Their relationship simply faded away...
