She pulled the blanket over her head, trying to block out his hot breath, and complained, "You're annoying... I'm tired! I want to sleep!"
Knowing he was in the wrong, Jiang Siyan patiently coaxed her, "Get up and eat first, then go back to sleep."
"I won't eat, I won't eat, I'm going to sleep!" she said, her voice harsh as she covered herself with the blanket.
Jiang Siyan wasn't in a hurry. Looking at the tightly wrapped blanket, he said softly, "Okay, I'll sleep with you for a while."
As soon as he finished speaking, Su Er sat up abruptly, her head wrapped in the blanket like a Russian nesting doll. She didn't say a word, just stared at him with wide eyes.
I cried a lot last night, and my eyelids are swollen again.
Jiang Siyan gently rubbed her head through the blanket, then brought her some warm water and fed it to her lips. "Alright, why are you so angry as soon as you get up?"
Su Er tilted her head back and swallowed, the hoarseness in her throat lessened considerably, but the soreness in her body did not decrease at all. She muttered, "I'm the one who's been tormented, and I'm the one who's not getting enough sleep. Of course you can talk like that without feeling the pain."
In the end, fueled by her morning grumpiness, she almost burst into tears from feeling wronged.
Jiang Siyan coaxed her, both amused and exasperated, "Okay, I went too far. Apologize to our Er'er, okay?"
Su Er pouted, unwilling to speak.
Jiang Siyan wasn't in a hurry. He changed the subject and asked, "I had Uncle Zhang send over some xiaolongbao. Do you want some?"
After a few seconds of silence, Su Er swallowed hard, nodded, and said, "Eat."
Why would anyone turn down delicious food, especially since she's really craving it?
It's not shameful to accept his apology for the sake of food.
