Upon seeing him, Su Er sat up with a beaming smile to share the good news, "Jiang Siyan! I passed the audition!"
"Yes, I just heard it."
"Get up quickly, or Aunt Cui will have someone prepare lunch if you don't eat breakfast soon."
His indifferent attitude extinguished Su Er's enthusiasm, and her desire to share her joy vanished instantly.
She was a little disappointed, but then she thought that it was ultimately her own business, and Jiang Siyan didn't need to feel sorry for her or happy for her.
Su Er threw back the covers. "I'll get up right away."
She slipped on her slippers and had just stood up when she suddenly felt a tightness around her waist. Jiang Siyan hugged her from behind and said, "Er'er, congratulations."
Su Er smiled gently, "Thank you."
"That's it?" Jiang Siyan asked.
Su Er, confused, tilted her head to look at him, "Do you want... anything else?"
The next second, a sharp pain shot through her shoulder. Su Er cried out softly and pushed him away, looking aggrieved. "Why did you bite me?"
Jiang Siyan grabbed her chin and twisted it towards himself, "You heartless little thing, I was your body pillow all night, and you just forgot about me as soon as you got up, huh?"
Su Er blinked, paused for a few seconds, then quickly realized what was happening. She turned around, hugged his neck, and apologized, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. I was so happy I forgot. I promise I will tell you first next time, okay?"
Su Er was a very perceptive person, and she guessed the reason for his displeasure in just a few words.
"Please, don't be angry anymore." Su Er dragged out the last syllable, looking at him with a pitiful expression.
She's really good at being charming and coquettish.
Jiang Siyan smiled helplessly and patted her lower back. "Alright, don't be angry. Go wash up."
This time, Su Er was smarter. As she walked towards the bathroom, she turned back and added, "I'll kiss you after I brush my teeth."
