Chapter 13 Just kidding!

What's strange is that this insincere flattery doesn't evoke any annoyance whatsoever.

On the contrary, he quite enjoyed it.

The traffic jam didn't last long. Although the two didn't talk much along the way, even when Su Er tried to talk to him, she never looked back at him.

This contradicted the teachings she had received since childhood, but the heat from being teased earlier had not yet subsided. Su Er thought angrily, "What's the point of talking about benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom, and trustworthiness with this person?"

The car passed through a cluster of Brezhnev buildings and fell behind, its solemnity now reduced to a few blurry shadows in the night.

We passed through several guard posts without any hindrance and finally stopped at the gate of an inconspicuous house. Compared to the ornate buildings of that night, this gate was quite plain and simple.

Su Er glanced at it and superstitiously wondered if she had recently been clashing with the courtyard house.

Actually, she regretted it a little when she started driving here. She had studied in Beicheng for four years and had heard a few things about how valuable this place was.

She didn't know what food was available here, but Su Er knew that with her meager savings, she definitely couldn't afford it.

The waiter outside the car opened the door for her, a trained, standard smile on his face. Su Er sighed inwardly, unbuckling her seatbelt while wondering if they accepted credit cards here. What was her credit card limit again? Why was he so picky?

If I had known better, I would have asked her if there was anything she wanted to eat, and she would have suggested the night market stalls outside the film set.

Jiang Siyan tossed the car keys to the waiter and walked forward, but did not hear any footsteps following behind him.

Turning her head, Su Er's gaze met his. She hurriedly concealed the bitterness and resentment on her face, gave him a perfunctory smile, and quickly walked to his side.

A few seconds later, they were still standing in the same place.

Su Er couldn't help but feel a little uneasy. Surely she wouldn't get angry just because she'd waited a few steps? She asked softly, "Aren't...we're going in?"

Jiang Siyan smiled knowingly and said, "I'm just worried that if we walk too fast, you won't be able to keep up and we'll get lost."

"You're not a child, what's there to lose?" Su Er retorted subconsciously, thinking to herself that this person's words were completely nonsensical.

Jiang Siyan's smile widened, his gaze lingering on her smooth neck. "Oh? Really? After seeing so much scenery, isn't your neck sore?"

If Su Er still can't understand the meaning behind these words, then she has really wasted this year in the entertainment industry.

This is a roundabout way of saying she's throwing a childish tantrum.

Jiang Siyan leaned slightly forward, as if whispering something to her that couldn't be seen in public, "The massage therapists here are quite good, shall I have him give you a massage later?"

She smiled sweetly, her eyes curving into crescents, defiantly meeting his gaze: "Thank you for your trouble, Mr. Jiang. I'm young, it's no problem."

Look at that mouth, it's really unwilling to suffer even the slightest loss.
