Chapter 17: The Fake Heiress's Escape from Marriage - 17 Lips

Chapter 17: The Fake Heiress's Escape from Marriage - 17 Lips

Yun Chiyi hummed a song as she escorted Lin Jishen to his apartment building.

She suddenly turned around, her eyes sparkling with laughter: "Let me bandage your wound."

Lin Jishen leaned forward, paused when he heard her words, and stared at her face with his dark eyes.

"OK."

Yun Chiyi parked the car, feeling happy.

The closer you get to him, the stronger the smell of blood becomes.

Lin Jishen gave her the house number, then stepped back half a step, his eyes quietly and slowly scanning her back. Her light pink clothes were stained, probably because Wang Jianjia had pushed her into a tree.

He lifted his eyelids and asked, "Does it hurt?"

Yun Chiyi turned around blankly: "What?"

Lin Jishen kept his lips tightly closed, no longer speaking, his eyes revealing a cold chill.

How could he have said that?

Yun Chiyi asked back with a half-smile, "Does your hand hurt?"

Lin Jishen raised his hand; the bloodstains on the back of his hand had dried and coiled like venomous snakes.

He said, "I didn't feel anything."

Lin Jishen lived on a very high floor, almost to the top floor.

This was actually quite predictable; he has always liked to look down on people.

Upon entering, the room was simply furnished, predominantly in dark colors, with virtually no purely decorative items.

However, he had a small bartending station, fully equipped and kept clean.

One can imagine him lowering his eyes, thinking about things while mixing drinks.

After entering, Yun Chiyi began her private space tour. She glanced at the floor-to-ceiling windows filled with the night view, and then looked at the light green walls.

Just as she was about to look elsewhere, a small home medicine kit was presented to her.

Yun Chiyi subconsciously reached out to catch it, watching Lin Jishen sit on the sofa, his eyes only glancing over leisurely.

She suddenly realized that the lights hadn't been turned on yet.

Lin Jishen had grown accustomed to this kind of life.

Yun Chiyi casually turned on the desk lamp. Her long hair, which hung over her shoulders, slightly obstructed her view. She swept her hair up with her bare hand, revealing her fair chin and delicate facial features.

"I just realized how beautiful your hands are." She picked up Lin Jishen's hand, examined it for a few seconds, and then began to gently wipe away the bloodstains with a cotton swab dipped in saline solution.

Lin Jishen sneered.

Yun Chiyi smiled and said, "That's impolite of you. I was genuinely complimenting you."

Her voice was incredibly gentle, with a subtle, alluring quality.

Lin Jishen paused for a moment: "You went too far, be gentler."

Yun Chiyi looked up innocently: "You just said you didn't feel anything, that it wouldn't hurt, but I only touched it lightly, and it already hurts?"

She chuckled softly, finding it quite amusing after teasing him. She lowered her head, her cheeks puffing out slightly: "Phew, it doesn't hurt."

Unexpectedly, Lin Jishen grabbed her face and asked, "Are you here to cause trouble or to help?"

Yun Chiyi's voice was muffled: "How can I help you like this..."

Lin Jishen saw that her eyes still held joy, her eyes bright as priceless gems. His gaze was inexplicably stung, and he hurriedly frowned and turned his head away.

She leaned closer and placed her hands on his broad shoulders: "Why are you hiding? Are you shy?"

Lin Jishen said in a sharp voice, "Let go."

Yun Chiyi pouted: "Tch, stingy."

Lin Jishen's aura dropped several degrees, and he gripped her waist to prevent her from leaving.

The warmth of his palms crept up his waist and back, and Yun Chiyi suddenly stopped his playful demeanor, blinking his thick, long eyelashes.

His slender fingers caressed her skin and bones, his fingertips moving gently, and he only removed his fingertips after confirming that her back was not injured.

Her lips were pink, and her cupid's bow was full. For the first time, Lin Jishen focused most of his attention on her lips and teeth.

Yun Chiyi breathed lightly, her lips were red and her teeth were white, her chin was fair and very alluring.

Lin Jishen asked, "What did you talk about with the ladies today?"

Yun Chiyi said seriously, "How can I answer your question in this position?"

Lin Jishen let go of her hand, completely disregarding the fact that the wound on the back of his hand had reopened and stained Yun Chiyi's dress.

Yun Chiyi exclaimed in surprise, "You've dirtied my skirt!"

Lin Jishen said lightly, "I'll compensate you."

She noticed that his attention followed her, still fixed on her lips.

Yun Chiyi smiled teasingly: "Why are you staring at me? Are you in such a good mood that you want to kiss me today?"

Lin Jishen's eyes widened slowly, as if he had heard something absurd.

She leaned closer, her face possessing an alluring charm, like a lazy cat tilting its head playfully.

The living room was quiet for a few seconds.

She was looking at him too. His lips were relatively thin, and his smile looked fake, but it was still very handsome.

Yun Chiyi slowly lowered her eyes and leaned down to kiss Lin Jishen's lips.

Lin Jishen's brow twitched.

Yun Chiyi touched it and immediately pulled away, saying somewhat guiltily, "I just wanted to see what it felt like, I didn't mean anything else."

Lin Jishen grabbed her wrist, raised his eyes filled with deep resentment, and spat out each word clearly: "Do you treat me like a plaything?"

In a moment of carelessness, Yun Chiyi lost her footing and fell onto the sofa. Lin Jishen still held her wrist, stroking her delicate skin between his fingers.

He lifted her chin, his expression unchanged, and then pressed a forceful kiss upon her.

At first, Yun Chiyi simply placed her other hand lightly on his waist. But from some point onward, she began to grip his dark shirt tightly, a process that lasted for a long time until she finally let go.

Lin Jishen sat sideways on the edge of the sofa, propped himself up, and impatiently brushed the hair from his forehead with his bloodied hand.

Yun Chiyi wiped the moisture from her lips with the back of her hand, coughed softly while covering her face, her neatly tied hair now spread messily on the sofa cushions, and strands of hair clung to her damp ears from a little sweat.

"Let's find something to talk about, otherwise it'll be too awkward," she said.

Lin Jishen unbuttoned his collar and chuckled upon hearing this, "Don't you think it'll be even more awkward if you say it like that?"

really.

Yun Chiyi licked her lips and remained silent.

Lin Jishen gripped her wrist tightly: "Get up and help me clean my wound."

She sat up and quickly wrapped his bandage up: "There you go, you won't find another person outside who knows how to do this."

Lin Jishen's assessment: "Ugly."

Yun Chiyi scoffed, but immediately put on a smiling face: "I'm hungry. I'll go back after I have some late-night snacks."

She noticed that the kitchen was fully equipped with cooking utensils, so Lin Jishen must usually cook for himself.

I went through so much tonight, and I'm starving right now.

Lin Jishen looked at her for half a minute, then got up, put the medicine box away, turned on the kitchen light, and opened the refrigerator to check the ingredients.

A dark figure darted in front of her, and a furry head suddenly appeared. Yun Chiyi smiled and suggested, "I want to eat instant noodles."

Lin Jishen asked, "Is this all we're going to eat?"

Yun Chiyi thought for a moment: "We should add eggs and ham sausages too, this will be a feast!"

Lin Jishen hesitated, unable to get any normal information from her.

Boil water, add instant noodles when the water boils, heat oil in another pot, crack an egg into it, fry the egg until golden brown, and then fry the ham sausage.

Cook the noodles until they are half-cooked, drain off some of the water, add a poached egg and ham sausage and simmer together, then add two lettuce leaves at the end.

Yun Chiyi sat at the dining table for more than ten minutes, glancing towards the kitchen repeatedly, her eyes practically yearning for it.

Lin Jishen brought out a bowl of instant noodles, and she leaned over to look at it.

The instant noodles were cooked just right, not too soft or too hard, and piping hot.

Yun Chiyi said, "It looks a bit bland."

Upon hearing this, Lin Jishen raised his hand, gesturing to the convenient gauze patch on her hand, indicating that his hand injury meant he could only make such a simple late-night snack for the time being.

She glanced down, her slender fingers holding the bowl, her hands shrinking back as the soup burned her: "It's a little hot."

Lin Jishen smiled slightly, then quickly resumed his indifferent attitude.

Yun Chiyi looked at him with her crescent-shaped smiling eyes: "Aren't you hungry?"

Lin Jishen only had half a glass of warm water beside him. He took a sip and said, "Eat quickly and go back."

"You dislike me." Yun Chiyi picked up a noodle with her chopsticks and gently blew on it to cool it down.

Lin Jishen said, "It's too late, you should go to sleep."

Yun Chiyi chewed her noodles and gave a perfunctory reply.

She was almost finished eating when a thought suddenly struck her. Looking at Lin Jishen, who was taking the last sip of water, she said, "You've been unusually gentle tonight. Are you feeling embarrassed because you kissed me?"

After listening, Lin Jishen raised an eyebrow, clenched his fist, and felt like he was going to grind his back teeth to pieces.

"Don't mind me, I was just starting a conversation."

Yun Chiyi quickly took a sip of soup, wiped her mouth, grabbed her bag, and slipped away.

Hearing the door close, Lin Jishen relaxed his hands, the cough that had been stuck in his throat was released, and his ear tips turned red unexpectedly.

He choked.

——

Back at Hongshan Garden, Yun Chiyi took a shower, threw her blood-stained clothes on the ground, and buried herself in the covers until noon.

The next day, the weather was fine.

After washing up, Yun Chiyi went downstairs and glanced at the cat-like creature in the living room, thinking she was seeing things.

I don't know what he's doing here; he's practically crawled into the sofa.

Yun Jingui was knitting a scarf when she heard footsteps and looked up: "Gu Chi is here."

Yun Chiyi blinked and ignored her, saying, "I'm so thirsty."

Next time, should I tell Lin Jishen to put less salt in, or should I say that the salty thing is that sausage?

Yun Jingui beckoned her to sit down beside her: "Sweetie, of course you'll be thirsty after sleeping so late. What do you want for lunch?"

Yun Chiyi took Yun Jingui's arm in a flattering manner: "I want to eat steamed pork ribs with rice flour, and also a winter melon soup."

Gu Chi tried for a long time but couldn't get a word in edgewise, opening his mouth several times only to close it again.

His hands were trembling, and he called out in a hoarse voice, "Sister..."

Yun Chiyi turned around calmly, her gaze bewildered. Looking at her, Gu Chi felt as if he could hardly breathe.

"I... want to talk to you."

Yun Jingui scoffed: "You two actually have something in common?"

Gu Chi almost pleaded, "Please."

He blinked repeatedly, looking like he was about to cry.

Under the watchful eyes of the crowd, Yun Chiyi slowly stood up, and Gu Chi immediately followed her with his head down.

Yun Chiyi stopped by the flower stand, sat on the swing and enjoyed the breeze. The midday breeze was warm and felt very comfortable on her body.

Gu Chi stood at the bottom of the steps, nervously fidgeting with his hands: "Sister..."

Yun Chiyi swung her legs, the swing making a slight creaking sound: "Did you eat the candy I gave you?"

Gu Chi froze, clutching the candy in his pocket tightly.

Yun Chiyi's voice was gentle: "You said you could eat once you could breathe normally, but you still can't come to your senses?"

Gu Chi's face was pale, and he said directly, "The fire last night was because of me."

Yun Chiyi looked over calmly and said with her lips slightly parted, "There were no casualties or property damage."

As if he had found an outlet for his anger, Gu Chi held his head and kept talking: "I just wanted to go to the bathroom. I didn't know I would knock over the candle. It lit the curtains. It was too fast."

"I tried to put it out, but the fire spread to me."

"Then my dad came over, got angry, and slapped me twice."

Yun Chiyi didn't say anything and listened to him speak the whole time.
