Chapter 7 It's Up to You



Lin Changchun wanted to comfort Qin Yi, but felt that anything he said would be inadequate. After all, Qin Yi was such an outstanding person who had suddenly fallen from grace and would spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair. How could he not be sad?

He patted his good friend on the shoulder and sat quietly with him.

When Su Wan returned with the medicine and saw the two of them like this, she knew what Qin Yi was thinking. She didn't want to comfort him; at this moment, any words of comfort would be too pale and powerless. She didn't want to lie to him, nor did she want to lie to herself. He understood all the big principles; he just couldn't get over his own conscience.

She felt that even if he couldn't get better, they could still live like this.

She handed the medicine to Lin Changchun, then turned around and pushed Qin Yi towards the outside.

"Let's go home. I'll make dumplings when we get home today."

Qin Yi let her push him, keeping his lips tightly pressed together without saying a word.

As Su Wan passed the hospital threshold, she was caught off guard and her wheelchair lurched to one side. She instinctively reached out and hugged Qin Yi tightly, using her body to block the tilting wheelchair.

The two were pressed together in an odd position, with Su Wan holding Qin Yi's head and upper body, and the girl's fragrance uncontrollably filling his nostrils.

Qin Yi felt that Su Wan was holding him too tightly, making it difficult for him to breathe and causing his heart to pound.

She only released Qin Yi when Lin Changchun came to help. The girl's fragrance was gone from her arms, and something in Qin Yi's heart seemed to disappear along with that sweet scent.

The wheelchair landed on Su Wan's foot by sheer coincidence, and she couldn't help but hiss.

Qin Yi didn't find it romantic at all; he looked at Su Wan and scolded her irritably.

"Are you stupid? Didn't you know to dodge?"

Su Wan stretched her legs and smiled at him.

"Your foot is fine, let's go."

Seeing Su Wan's nonchalant smile, Qin Yi felt inexplicably choked up.
