Now is not the time to be sad; there will be other patients in the hospital later!
The patient in the next ward was an elderly professor who was forced to be hospitalized by his family because he had diabetes. Every night around 8 o'clock, his son would bring his children to visit him.
Every time I passed by the ward, I heard laughter and cheerful voices, as well as the sound of children hitting the walls with balls.
Now, however, it is eerily silent!
Seeing the blood splattered on the wall, Zhang, the adjutant, closed his eyes in pain, but opened them again in a second.
The old professor has probably already been murdered!
He kicked open the tightly closed toilet door with all his might, and saw the old professor sitting motionless on the toilet with the same bloodstain on his neck, and a child lying on the ground with a broken neck!
brute!
abnormal!
With the abilities of a superhuman, he could easily have stormed into the ward, killed himself, and taken Coulson away.
But he didn't. He killed all the soldiers guarding outside, and even the innocent people in the next ward, just to create fear for himself and make himself afraid!
Since enlisting, Zhang, the adjutant, had never been afraid, no matter how strong the opponent or how difficult the mission. But at this moment, he admitted that his psychological defenses were being broken down step by step.
The other party was like the eye of God, watching them, these ants, struggle in pain and taking pleasure in it!
No wonder the commander went to great lengths to destroy Venomous Fang!
To this world, a malicious superhuman is a giant atomic bomb!
They may not be able to destroy the entire world, but once they detonate, countless people will die and be injured, taking away countless lives.
"Knock knock—"
There was a rhythmic knocking sound behind me.
Playful and frivolous.
Lieutenant Zhang quickly turned around and pointed his gun at the door.
Upon seeing who it was, the muscles on his face instantly relaxed. "Someone broke in and tried to kill—"
Before he could finish speaking, he felt a chill on his neck, and blood suddenly gushed out. He dropped the gun and clutched his neck tightly.
That was a wound deeper than anyone else's!
With a single slash, he died with his eyes wide open, not even having seen how the other person made the move!
His eyes were filled with disbelief!
…………
It was quiet outside the door.
Coulson seemed to have anticipated something. Remembering Yan Miao's teachings, he mobilized all his supernatural abilities and used vines to block the bathroom doorway.
"Knock knock—"
Two soft knocks came from outside the door.
Coulson's body trembled, and within two seconds, the polite knocking turned into a rude and forceful banging.
"Bang bang—"
Unable to break down the door, the other party rammed it even more violently.
Seeing that the toilet door was about to be smashed, Coulson hurriedly added another vine on top.
Green vines densely wrapped around the door, forming a solid barrier!
His face was pale, all his strength had been drained, and he collapsed weakly to the ground.
Seeing that the door remained unmoved, the person outside suddenly stopped what they were doing. Just when Coulson thought he had given up—
A powerful mental wave struck!
My brain felt like it was walking on a mountain of needles, the pain was excruciating!
The pain was so intense I couldn't breathe...
...........
"Don't take me away!"
Coulson screamed as he awoke from his coma.
What came into view was a face that was both strange and familiar.
He knew him; he was Zhang's superior.
Commander Shen!
On his first day in the hospital, he, the police chief, Sister Yanmiao, and Aunt Zhulan were all there.
Coulson remembered him well, and seeing that his adjutant was nowhere to be seen, he immediately understood, "Where is Uncle Zhang?"
"He...he went out to save me."
"Child, we know everything that happened last night, don't think about it anymore."
"Get a good night's sleep, and a doctor will come to check you out later."
Chief Shen picked him up.
It was already daylight, and the harsh sunlight streamed into the room. Coulson raised his hand to shield his eyes from the light.
Director Mu stood outside the door and quietly shook his head at Chief Shen, meaning that there was absolutely no hope.
Chief Shen's heart sank. After quickly settling Coulson in, he sent another team to surround the hospital, preventing even a mosquito from getting in.
"There were ten VIP rooms on this floor. Apart from Coulson, who was unharmed, no one else survived. It's absolutely inhumane!"
Director Mu cursed.
The corridor outside was littered with corpses!
Even forensic doctors get goosebumps when they see this!
“Old Shen, I know you’re suffering. Zhang was your right-hand man and your brother who went through thick and thin with you. It must be hard for you to bear to see him go like that.”
Chief Shen took a few steps forward, almost stumbled, and fell to the ground.
Director Mu quickly helped him up, saying, "Alright! You need to rest too. You've been busy with the Poison Fang case and interrogating Xie Boxian lately. Look at yourself, you haven't slept for several nights!"
"This is Zhang's fate. As a soldier, he is always prepared to sacrifice himself."
"He's not a coward, he's a hero!"
"I must find the remaining superhumans and tear them to pieces!"
Chief Shen clenched his fists and gritted his teeth as he made his vow.
Legal punishment was no longer enough to quell his hatred; he wanted to lock those people in the army's secret laboratory and let them experience a living hell!
"This is too far-fetched, and we don't have the ability to do it. How about we ask Yan Miao for help?"
