Chapter 36: Physical Education Classes Were All Changed to English Classes

Early the next morning, Gu Yunbai took Gu Yanxin to the No. 1 Middle School to complete the transfer procedures.

As Gu Yunbai passed by the school's bulletin board, he inadvertently saw Shi Miao's name on it and stopped. He saw that Shi Miao's weekly test paper had a perfect score posted on it.

Gu Yunbai turned to look at Gu Yanxin beside him and asked in surprise, "Shi Miao's grades are so good? Why have you never told me?"

Gu Yanxin's eyes flickered as she gripped her backpack strap, her tone unnatural as she said, "I was focused on my piano exams for a while, so I only found out now."

A hint of resentment flashed in Gu Yunbai's eyes. He hadn't expected his biological daughter to be so outstanding, but he also knew that his relationship with Shi Miao was beyond repair. Now, all he could do was to nurture Gu Yanxin.

Gu Yunbai, with a stern face, said in a deep voice, "Yes, let's go."

Gu Yanxin nodded obediently. She was trying her best to minimize her presence and didn't dare to say much, for fear of upsetting Gu Yunbai.

After completing the formalities, Gu Yanxin sat in the car, looking out the window at the No. 1 Middle School getting further and further away. Her eyes welled up with tears, and she couldn't help but feel a little reluctant to leave.

Before Shi Miao arrived, she was the school beauty, adored by everyone, and a strong contender to become William's apprentice...

It's all Shi Miao's fault; she stole everything that originally belonged to me.

Gu Yanxin narrowed her eyes, her fingertips digging into her palms, secretly vowing to make a name for herself in the capital.

"Sister Miao, have you heard? Gu Yanxin transferred schools." Hu Tiantian turned around and handed her a lollipop.

Upon hearing this, Shi Miao raised an eyebrow slightly, a hint of surprise flashing in her eyes.

She lowered her eyes, her jade-like fingers tapping on the phone screen, and softly replied, "Oh."

Where Gu Yanxin goes is none of her business, as long as she doesn't get involved in any kind of messing around.

Seeing that she wasn't interested in the topic, Hu Tiantian stopped talking about it.

Just then, Ji Sinian strolled in through the back door with a basketball, pulled out a chair, and sat down. "Sister Miao, let's play some games together."

"I'm not playing. It's your uncle's class later." Shi Miao's voice was slightly low and hoarse, with a hint of nonchalance.

Ji Sinian was stunned for a moment, then came to his senses and said loudly, "Huh? Isn't the next class PE? I even brought my jersey today."

Hu Tiantian looked up at him and said, "Don't you know? From now on, PE class will be replaced with English class."

"Holy crap, is my uncle a devil? I'm speechless. Sister Miao, you have to do something about my uncle!" Ji Sinian's face was as black as the bottom of a pot.

Shi Miao raised her hand to tidy her hair, glanced at him lazily, and said in a serious tone, "Your uncle taught you quite well."

"That doesn't mean you can take away my PE class!" Ji Sinian scratched his hair in frustration.

Hu Tiantian cautiously began, "Um, everyone unanimously requested that we switch to Teacher Ji's class."

Ji Sinian's eyes were filled with disbelief. "No, how come I don't know anything? Why didn't anyone ask for my opinion?"

"Is it possible that your opinion is completely unimportant?" Shi Miao crossed her arms, leaned back slightly, and rested on the chair back.

Ji Sinian: "......"

After school, Shi Miao took a taxi directly to the hospital.

"Shi Miao?" Lu Hansheng's voice came from behind.

Shi Miao turned her head and saw Lu Hansheng, wearing a hospital gown and leaning on a cane, slowly walking over.

Lu Hansheng exclaimed in surprise, "It really is you! What are you doing here?"

Shi Miao's voice was slightly cool: "I've come to see my grandfather."

"How is your grandfather's health?"

"Well, it's nothing serious. I'll be going now."

Lu Hansheng lowered his eyelids, concealing the darkness in his eyes, and said nervously, "Um, there are still a few questions I don't quite understand. Do you have time to help me with them later?"

"Okay, sure."

"Then I'll wait for you!" Lu Hansheng looked up at her, his eyes brightening and the corners of his mouth unconsciously turning up.
