Gu Yanxin ate the meal absentmindedly.
After Shi Miao and Gu Qingshan finished eating, they went to the living room to play chess, leaving the mother and daughter to clean up the table.
Gu Yanxin stared blankly at the untouched glass of orange juice on the table.
"What are you daydreaming about?" Yun Rujin patted her shoulder after finishing tidying up.
"Ah." Gu Yanxin was startled, a hint of panic flashing in her eyes.
She bit her lip in resentment. Qin Chu had said that half a orange was enough to kill, so just to be on the safe side, she had only put half an orange in that glass of juice...
"Mom, I'm going to make two cups of tea for Grandpa and my sister." Gu Yanxin said and ran to the kitchen to make two cups of tea.

"Grandpa, please have some tea." Gu Yanxin handed a cup of tea to the old man.
He then picked up the remaining cup and handed it to Shi Miao, saying, "Sister."
Shi Miao was looking at the chessboard in front of him, stroking the chess pieces with his fingers, and said without looking up, "Just leave it there."

Gu Qingshan was too lazy to pay attention to his muddle-headed son, so he glanced at him but didn't say anything.
Seeing that the old man ignored him, Gu Yunbai habitually picked up the teacup on the table, intending to take a sip to cover up his embarrassment.
Upon seeing his actions, Gu Yanxin was terrified and cried out, "Dad!"

Shi Miao stood up, picked up the schoolbag that was placed to the side, and said calmly, "Don't worry, I'm here, you won't die."
"Ah, good, good." Gu Qingshan said with delight after recovering from his daze.
Shi Miao took out her acupuncture kit from her bag, disinfected it, and began to insert needles into Gu Yunbai's acupoints.
"Shi Miao, what are you doing?" Yun Rujin had just dialed 120 and walked over with her phone in hand, her voice shrill.
"Shut up if you don't want him to die." Shi Miao's expression suddenly turned cold, his dark eyes filled with murderous intent as he spoke coldly.
"What can you do, you're just a student who doesn't know anything? I think you're trying to kill your father!" Yun Rujin stepped forward and tried to grab Shi Miao's arm.
"Enough! Get out of my way! It's none of your business to lecture my granddaughter!" Gu Qingshan said impatiently, swatting her hand away with his cane.
"Dad!" Yun Rujin rubbed her wrist, wanting to say something more.
Gu Qingshan suddenly looked at her with a sharp gaze, and Yun Rujin walked aside and fell silent.
