Chapter 71 I don't like drinking orange juice either

"What are you doing here?" Gu Qingshan leaned back on the sofa and glanced at the two people opposite him.

“Grandpa, I want to apologize to my sister in person, but she doesn’t want to meet with me alone. Could you talk to her and ask her to come here?” Gu Yanxin said earnestly, her eyes lowered.

Gu Qingshan snorted coldly, "What did you do to wrong Miaomiao?"

"I plagiarized my sister's song..." Gu Yanxin bit her lip and murmured.

"When did this happen?" Gu Qingshan frowned and asked in a deep voice.

"At the arrangement competition held by the Beijing Piano Association two weeks ago..."

"So that's why you were sent back?" Gu Qingshan's eyes suddenly sharpened as he looked at her.

"Um...Grandpa, I really know I was wrong. I sincerely want to apologize to my sister..." Gu Yanxin looked up at the old man, her eyes misting over.

"Yes, Dad, I've realized my mistakes lately. I was really confused. How could I, as a mother, treat my own daughter like this? I've truly woken up, and I want to apologize to Miaomiao properly, regardless of whether she can forgive me or not." Yun Rujin raised her hand to wipe away the tears from the corners of her eyes and choked out.

As Gu Qingshan listened to their confessions, a hint of emotion flickered across his stern face.

He lowered his eyes, pondered for a moment, and slowly said, "Alright, I'll ask Miaomiao, but if she doesn't want to come see you, then there's nothing I can do."

Gu Yanxin said gratefully, "Thank you, Grandpa!"

Now she can only gamble that Shi Miao will come for the sake of the old man.

*

Shi Miao received a call from the old man right after school.

"Grandpa, what's wrong?"

"Miaomiao, Gu Yanxin and your mother want to apologize to you in person. They are here with me now, but Grandpa respects your choice. Whether they come or not is up to you."

Shi Miao was somewhat surprised. What kind of trouble were these two up to now?

After a few seconds of silence, Shi Miao said, "Okay, I'll be right there."

After hanging up the phone, Shi Miao hailed a taxi on the roadside and went directly to Gu Qingshan's place.

......

"Miaomiao, you're here." Gu Qingshan looked at Shi Miao with a kind expression and said with a smile.

"Hmm, how have you been lately? Do you still have your medicine?" Shi Miao stepped forward and helped the old man to sit down on the sofa.

"That's good, there's more." Gu Qingshan patted Shi Miao's hand.

Looking at the two people enjoying themselves, Gu Yanxin's eyes flashed with a hint of gloom, and she said in a sweet voice, "Sister, you've come."

Shi Miao finally had a moment to glance at her, her eyes squinting slightly as she casually asked, "So, what do you want?"

"Sister, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have plagiarized your song. I was just out of my mind. Can you forgive me..." Gu Yanxin's eyes were red and her lips were a little pale as she spoke cautiously.

Shi Miao raised her beautiful eyebrows slightly, her eyes flickered, and she smiled: "Okay."

At this moment, Yun Rujin came out of the kitchen and said with a smile, "Miaomiao, you're here! Mom specially cooked a lot of dishes for you today. Xinxin, come and help bring the dishes to the table."

After thanking Shi Miao, Gu Yanxin went into the kitchen.

"Let's go, Miaomiao, let's go eat." Gu Qingshan stood up, leaning on his cane.

Upon hearing this, Shi Miao nodded and followed the old man toward the dining table.

"Oh, right, Xinxin, there's some freshly squeezed orange juice in the kitchen." Yun Rujin placed the chopsticks on the table and turned to call out to the kitchen behind her.

"Okay." Gu Yanxin looked at the orange juice that had already been portioned in front of her, glancing nervously outside, her heart pounding wildly.

She quickly took out the pills from her pocket and put them into one of the glasses. Seeing that the pills dissolved quickly in the orange juice, she finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Looking at the tampered orange juice, a hint of excitement flashed in her eyes. After taking a deep breath, she took a tray and carried all four glasses of orange juice out.

"Sister, here you go." Gu Yanxin carefully placed the tray on the table, took one of the cups, and personally handed it to Shi Miao.

Shi Miao leaned back lazily in his chair, looked up at her intently, and said nothing.

Gu Yanxin's heart skipped a beat when Shi Miao looked at her. She lowered her eyes and sat down next to Yun Rujin.

Shi Miao looked at the mother and daughter opposite her, unsure of what they wanted to do. Even Yun Rujin was acting strangely today.

"Eat up, Miaomiao, try Mom's cooking." Yun Rujin smiled, stood up, picked up a large shrimp, and was about to put it into Shi Miao's bowl.

Shi Miao subtly moved her bowl away, saying, "No, thank you. I don't like seafood."

Yun Rujin paused for a moment, suppressing her disgust for Shi Miao, and said awkwardly, "I'm sorry, Mom will be more careful next time."

"Alright, just eat your own food." Gu Qingshan glanced at her and spoke up at the opportune moment.

"Sister, try this orange juice, it's so sweet." Gu Yanxin took a sip of the orange juice in her hand and spoke softly.

Shi Miao looked at her with a half-smile, his gaze casual and flirtatious. He pushed away the orange juice beside him and said nonchalantly, "Hmm, I don't like orange juice either."

Gu Yanxin's face stiffened, and she bit her lip involuntarily, a sense of anxiety rising within her. Was it going to end before it even began...?
