"The Dark Emperor? Why is he here?" Long Aotian pondered to himself. "Take him to the reception room, prepare tea and refreshments, and I will change my clothes before going over."
"Your servant obeys the decree."
"Why is the Dark Emperor here? Did he learn that the operation to annihilate Sacriton failed? No, impossible. Dark Star is hundreds of billions of light-years away from Sacriton. How much time has passed? How could the Dark Emperor possibly know and even arrive here?"
Ignoring the waiter's diligent efforts to clean up the shattered wine glass on the floor, Long Aotian took a long stride and stomped firmly and ruthlessly on the waiter's instep. Glass shards dug into the waiter's palm, causing him excruciating pain, yet he dared not cry out, enduring the pain with all his might.
"Get lost." The waiter's pained and ugly expression irritated Long Aotian, who only cared about beautiful women. Ugly people are always causing trouble and are an eyesore.
Before the waiter could leave on his own, Long Aotian kicked him away with great force.
After the defeat in the war, the Three Flower Legion was rendered in name only. His face was trampled underfoot by Elizabeth. Because of one disappointing piece of news after another, Long Aotian was filled with rage and became vicious. He often beat and scolded his servants and subjects.
The waiter crashed into the metal wall, his eyes wide with resentment, and died with bitterness in his heart.
"What bad luck." Long Aotian's eyes were sharp, and his gaze swept over the servant, making him know whether the servant was alive or dead. "Men, drag this corpse away, tear it to pieces, and turn it into a delicacy to properly entertain our distinguished guest—the Dark Emperor." Making use of waste.
Dark Emperor?
The words uttered by Long Aotian, the ruler of a nation, carried an indescribable irony and contempt.
An hour later, Long Aotian arrived late.
"I apologize, Dark Emperor, I was preoccupied with state affairs and am late."
Long Aotian's face was all smiles, showing not a trace of apology.
"It's nothing." The Dark Emperor waved his hand, his tail, held high, swaying gently.
The Dark Emperor was small and thin, and his wide black royal robes made him appear even more frail. His cloudy eyes were only slightly open, and his skin, which was covered in bark, was uneven in texture. His long, slender, bony fingers had long, pointed nails that gleamed with a deep, dark light.
"This is the Dark Emperor? The emperor of the butcher race?"
Long Aotian slowly sat down, subtly observing the Dark Emperor.
"I wonder what brings you here today, Dark Emperor?" Long Aotian went straight to the point.
The Dark Emperor coughed, and a Dark Alien standing beside him carefully handed him a handkerchief. The Dark Emperor took the handkerchief, covered his mouth tightly, and a muffled cough pierced everyone's ears.
"Cough cough... I'm getting old, and my health isn't so good anymore. Please forgive me, Dragon Emperor." The Dark Emperor stretched out his hand, and the Dark Starman beside him respectfully took it back, folded it neatly, and solemnly put it into the pocket in his arms.
Long Aotian accidentally saw the strange liquid on the handkerchief, and his heart churned a thousand times in an instant.
"It's nothing, please speak." Long Aotian shifted his position, moving away from the Dark Emperor little by little, afraid that if he got too close, he might be infected with some unknown virus or bacteria and die quickly.
"That's right. I think one starship isn't enough for the humans on it. I'll add two more. And regardless of whether we win or lose the war, the Star Empire must keep its promise."
The Dark Emperor's heart is ageless, and his appetite is enormous.
Long Aotian smiled silently, his face dark and terrifying.
"Dark Emperor, can you stomach this?"
The Dark Emperor raised his head, his half-closed eyes slowly opening, his deep eyes stretching endlessly, with only the silent darkness churning and surging within.
"The Dark Star has countless people. What's wrong with three starships? Send ten more, and I guarantee they won't return."
Although Long Aotian disdains the lowly lives of ordinary people, this does not mean that a lowly race can be arrogant and do whatever it wants to do to his people, beating, scolding, killing, or dismembering them at will.
"Dark Emperor, I do not wish for our newly established alliance to be destroyed." Those humans who know what's good for them, carrying a starship, should retreat to their homeland and express their gratitude for my great kindness. Otherwise, in the Emperor's wrath, millions will die, and I will reduce your Dark Star to cosmic dust.
The Dark Emperor was completely unfazed by Long Aotian's arrogance. He relaxed, leaned back in his chair, and his smiling expression sent chills down one's spine.
"Dragon Emperor, I have heard that you suffered a crushing defeat in the battle to annihilate Sacriton, with your entire army, including the troops I dispatched, wiped out."
He found out as expected.
Long Aotian's eyes paused, then flashed with a terrifying light, like the ferocious and bloodthirsty gaze of a wild beast eyeing its prey.
"It's all because the troops you sent, Dark Emperor, are utterly useless, using a bunch of ragtag soldiers to fool me." Long Aotian made a move to shift all the blame onto the Dark Emperor.
The Star River Empire suffered heavy losses in this war. If they could salvage something from the Dark Star, it would be better than nothing!
Upon hearing this, the Dark Emperor slammed his tail down hard on the conference table with a loud bang.
"Dark Emperor, what do you mean?" Long Aotian was taken aback.
The Dark Emperor retracted his tail, its spikes aimed at Long Aotian's brain from a distance.
"Dragon Emperor, my troops are not like your humans, who are lazy, indolent, and obsessed with power struggles and framing political enemies all day long. The soldiers of Dark Star are only interested in fighting. The troops I sent this time are all top-notch fighters from Dark Star, yet they are useless? It is the generals you sent who are useless, causing me to lose a whole unit of my comrades."
The Dark Emperor, too lazy to argue with Long Aotian, said, "I'll give you two choices: one, the humans who attack Dark Star with four starships every year; two, you go back on your word, and I'll mobilize my troops—it'll be more troublesome—and directly conquer the Star River Empire."
"If you're so capable, then try it." Long Ao was so angry that his face turned red and his neck bulged.
