The vast universe is boundless, with twinkling stars and few human footprints.
Jin Xin and John are on a secret mission, traveling together in a starship through interstellar space.
“John.” Jin Xin looked worried, depressed, and sullen.
John brought a glass of water and placed it in front of Jin Xin.
"Take a sip."
Drinking plain water regularly is good for your health.
Jin Xin, unable to refuse John's offer, tilted his head back and downed the whole thing in one gulp.
"Has the Star Lord found out?" Jin Xin felt a tightness in his chest, an indescribable discomfort. His mother had saved and raised him, and he had been ungrateful, a heartless wretch.
John patted Jin Xin on the back and said, "The Star Lord definitely knows."
"Is Mother...exiling us?" Jin Xin asked tremblingly, clutching John's collar tightly, like a drowning person grasping at a last straw.
John smiled and said, "The Star Lord is very magnanimous. He is not as petty as you think. Do you think your mother would joke about General Tu Yao's life, Star Lord?"
Jin Xin is simply worrying unnecessarily and overthinking things.
"No," Jin Xin said sullenly.
"Alright, don't worry, the Star Lord won't exile us. She must have seen through our actions and didn't know what to do for a moment, so she came up with the idea of having us rescue General Tuyao to atone for our sins." John guessed Ji Xiaoxiao's thoughts perfectly.
Ji Xiaoxiao really didn't want to pursue John and Jin Xin's mistakes. Both of them were high-ranking officials in Sacramento, or indispensable key figures, great heroes who saved the people from suffering. Even if Ji Xiaoxiao wanted to settle scores later, she would wait until her grand ambitions were fulfilled and the world was at peace before she could discard them like a used tool.
Moreover, Ji Xiaoxiao never intended to hold John Jinxin and the others accountable, after all, the original owner's feelings for those two were quite special. Not wanting to let it go easily, and preferring to avoid seeing it, Ji Xiaoxiao simply sent them to Dark Star to rescue that poor boy, Tu Yao.
After a month of sailing, the two finally arrived at Dark Star.
The Dark Star was pitch black, resembling a black bead from afar. The planets around it were the same, showing no color other than black. Only the ever-present star, its brilliant red and yellow hues exuding a somber, dying aura, stood out.
"This is the Dark Star?"
Jin Xin set foot on the Dark Star in the Dark Starfield for the first time.
John, also a country bumpkin, was astonished by the sights he saw in the city.
"The Star Lord said to pause our landing on planet AD83 near Dark Star, and someone will come to pick us up." John's men moved with dazzling speed, and the starship silently turned around and quietly entered planet AD83.
Planet AD83 is a planet devoid of humanity; it consists of nothing but sand.
"It's so dark," Jin Xin remarked.
"It's getting dark, time to sleep," John said loudly.
"You."
Ten hours later, the starship's red lights flashed, and the alarm bells suddenly rang.
Jin Xin and John rolled off the bed and looked out the window. A small, oddly shaped airship slowly landed next to their starship.
"It's the TT Ghost model airship produced by Dark Star." Having fought with the Dark Star people so much, Jin Xin inevitably became familiar with their things.
"A Dark Star alien's airship?" John murmured. "A Dark Star alien's airship. It seems the Star Lord found us a Dark Star alien as our contact."
Knowing yourself and your enemy is the key to victory in every battle, a belief Jin Xin firmly held. Therefore, he knew a great deal about the Dark Aliens, Sacryton's number one enemy. The Dark Aliens were bloodthirsty and brutal; although they constantly fought among themselves, they were united in their fight against a common enemy. Whether threatened or bribed, they had no cowards willing to abandon the light for darkness.
"Mother, how...she's truly amazing." Jin Xin felt a sense of admiration for Ji Xiaoxiao.
The small airship opened its door, and a tall figure carrying a flashlight stepped out. He was draped in a black cloak that covered his body, revealing not a single inch of flesh. The wide, deep hood of the cloak, like a dark cloud, obscured his appearance and emotions, making his thoughts unfathomable.
The beam of the flashlight cast a circular halo, appearing as insignificant as a grain of sand in the vast darkness, almost like a flickering candle in the wind. He approached step by step, the soles of his shoes treading on the yellow sand, as if riding on clouds and mist, like a celestial being descending to earth.
...
Sacramenton, deep in the Abyss Valley.
"General Musen, there is a giant eight-legged wolf-tooth spider on the left."
Mu Sen leaped forward, narrowly avoiding the venomous silk of the eight-horned wolf-tooth spider.
"Bang bang bang".
After three shots rang out and disappeared into the sky, the giant eight-horned wolf-tooth spider met its end.
Mu Sen was panting heavily, his camouflage uniform was tattered and barely covered his body.
"The Abyss Valley is inhabited by countless dangerous creatures; this news must be reported to the Star Lord." Beset by external and internal troubles, the nation is doomed to fail.
Mu Sen leaned against a tree trunk, trying to conserve his energy while remaining vigilant and alert to his surroundings. The men he approached were covered in wounds and looked exhausted.
The wind, carrying the scent of the forest, whistled through the air, rustling the grass and causing it to sway gently. The chirping of insects and birds filled the air, while the howls of wolves and roars of tigers shook the mountains and rivers.
"Beep beep beep... beep beep beep..."
Mu Sen and the others suddenly opened their eyes, their fear clearly evident.
"General, that thing is following us again." The man who spoke was holding a gun, his hands trembling with cold sweat, and his teeth chattering incessantly.
Mu Sen stood up, his cold eyes piercing into the depths of the bushes.
In the abyss valley, venomous snakes and ferocious beasts are not the most terrifying. What is truly chilling is that tiny, worm-like creature, entirely milky white, that lives in groups and crawls about. A vast river of milk appears before your eyes.
