Chapter 389 Fools Don't Have Fool's Luck

Xia Xiu ignored him and said, "Release Xiao Bao." Xiao Bao's neck was cut by a dagger, and the small wound was bleeding profusely. The fair-skinned, round little dumpling looked pitiful and disheveled.

Having learned his lesson, Lin Mu took a few steps back.

"Come out!"

As soon as Lin Mu finished speaking, two burly men emerged from the depths of the warehouse.

"That's him. Take him away."

"This time, you won't give up halfway through again?"

"No, it has to be him, right now."

The two men glanced at Xia Xiu, who had small arms and legs. One of them could easily deal with the weak scholar.

“I’ll go, it’ll be perfect for me to have some fun,” one of the men said.

The man strode confidently, his large pectoral muscles drawing attention as he walked. Xia Xiu's left foot was slightly back, while his right foot was positioned in front, as if he were ready to launch.

"Kid, you'd better not resist, or you're in for a good beating."

Although the man meant well, he charged forward with lightning speed, his movements powerful and fierce, the whooshing sound of air being pierced echoing everywhere.

Xia Xiu stared intently, a hint of seriousness flashing in his clear eyes. The man's aura of ferocity was terrifying.

The man suddenly appeared, his fist aimed straight for Xia Xiu's abdomen. Xia Xiu blocked with both hands, using the force to pull downwards, and in the blink of an eye, Xia Xiu's right knee slammed upwards.

"Ugh." The man gagged, then said angrily, "Fine, you little brat, fine."

The man was truly enraged and grabbed the fruit knife hanging from his waist, lunging forward. His attack appeared haphazard and crude, but every move was aimed at severely injuring Xia Xiu. Xia Xiu couldn't dodge in time, and a cut appeared on his arm.

Seeing Xia Xiu's discomfiture, the man grinned from ear to ear, but in the next moment, Xia Xiu swept him with his long leg, sending him crashing into an abandoned truck in the warehouse.

"Brother!" the man standing next to Lin Mu shouted, "How dare you, how dare you, hurt my brother, you brat! I'll take your life!"

Xia Xiu narrowed his eyes slightly. A gust of wind swept through the warehouse, stirring up a cloud of dust that made it hard to breathe. By the time the dust settled, the boastful man was already lying unconscious on the ground.

"You." Lin Mu knew the two men's abilities well. These kinds of missions were usually handled by these two. No matter how difficult the troublesome piglets were, they couldn't cause any trouble in their hands. Xia Xiu didn't make a move unless he was sure he would, and when he did, he easily dealt with them.

Lin Mu's mouth gaped slightly, his heart filled with shock and uncertainty.

"Is this still the same silly boy Xia Xiu from back then?"

Lin Mu retreated cautiously, gripping the dagger tightly in his hand. This was his last lifeline, and he had to hold onto it.

"Xia Xiu, you're not allowed to move, or I'll kill Xiao Bao."

"I won't shed tears until I see the coffin," Lin Mu carefully inserted the dagger slightly into Xiao Bao's thigh.

"Waaaaah... It hurts, it hurts so much, Uncle, it hurts so much."

Xiao Bao looked on anxiously, "Uncle, Uncle, why aren't you coming to save me yet?"

Xia Xiu gasped for breath, "Lin Mu, Xiao Bao is your own son. How can you treat him like this? Are you even human?"

The warm blood from Xiao Bao's leg flowed onto Lin Mu's body, and Lin Mu's body stiffened instantly, forgetting to breathe. It wasn't his fault, it wasn't his fault, it was all Xia Xiu's fault. If he hadn't resisted, he wouldn't have hurt Xiao Bao. Yes, it was all Xia Xiu's fault.

"Xia Xiu, you are not allowed to move again. I order you not to move again."

Lin Mu's gaze fell on the man next to the abandoned truck. "Go and break his arms and legs."

The man coughed, eager for this opportunity.

The man staggered to his feet, wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, turned his head to look around, and found a rusty iron rod.

"I'll let you hit me, I'll let you be arrogant, I'll let you hit my older brother."

With every word the man spoke, a blow landed on Xia Xiu's body.

"Don't move. Remember, Xiao Bao is still with me," Lin Mu threatened.

First his legs, then his hands; Xia Xiu's limbs were broken by the man.

Xia Xiu lay sprawled on the ground, barely breathing, his limbs twisted at bizarre angles, like a work of art by a master. The man laughed loudly, raised the iron rod high, and smashed Xia Xiu several more times.

"Hahaha, you brat, you still fell into my hands." The man said as he kicked Xia Xiu, who suffered severe internal injuries and vomited blood.

Lin Mu didn't want to cause any more trouble, so he said, "Alright, tie them up, let's go."

Binbin doesn't have much time left. If this drags on, he might be beyond saving.
