Qiao Chu lowered her voice, which was tinged with coldness, "Don't think I'll let this go. One day, I will give those who died unjustly an explanation."
Ji Xiaoxiao turned around, staring intently at Qiao Chu. "I'm waiting, but now, please, Lord Qiao, get out of here as soon as possible. I have something important to do."
Qiao Chu snorted heavily and turned away.
Ji Xiaoxiao watched Qiao Chu leave, and only after hearing the heavy thud of the huge wooden door closing did she turn around and walk further inside.
The key opened the cell door, and the people inside huddled like quails.
"Did you ever imagine that things would turn out this way?" Ji Xiaoxiao asked.
A booming male voice, filled with overwhelming anger and hatred, swept over us: "I should have killed you back then."
"Where is the 'before' in life?" Ji Xiaoxiao's lips curled up, her dark eyes darted around, and she grabbed Duanmu Sen, who was being protected by Duanmu Lin and the other two.
When Ji Xiaoxiao mentioned Duanmu Sen, Tong Shi reacted violently. She suddenly jumped up, grabbing Duanmu Sen's feet, her disheveled appearance resembling that of a madwoman.
"Get out of my way." Ji Xiaoxiao kicked Tong Shi away.
After throwing Duanmu Sen out of the cell, Ji Xiaoxiao locked herself in again and lit the oil lamps on both sides of the corridor.
The lights were brilliant, illuminating everyone.
Inside the prison, three disheveled men bared their teeth and used every means at their disposal to threaten Ji Xiaoxiao into releasing Duanmu Sen.
Ji Xiaoxiao ignored him, took out a throwing dart from her waist, and calmly severed Duanmu Sen's arms and legs. Afterwards, Ji Xiaoxiao put him back in the cell.
That's all for today.
Ji Xiaoxiao came again the next day.
"Give me water," Qin Qing said weakly.
Ji Xiaoxiao shook her head.
Tong stayed beside Duanmu Sen, her face anxious and solemn. Due to the worsening of his injuries, Duanmu Sen suddenly developed a high fever last night and was currently delirious.
"Bring us water quickly! We are His Majesty's most wanted criminals. If we die, you'll be in deep trouble too!" Madam Tong said sternly.
Ji Xiaoxiao feigned innocence, "Don't you know that His Majesty has already bestowed you upon me? Now, you are my people, Gu Shen's people. Whether you live or die is up to me, Gu Shen."
Tong felt a jolt of fear and knew something was wrong.
Duanmu Lin was stunned, clearly taken aback by Ji Xiaoxiao's bombshell news.
If His Majesty bestows these gifts upon Gu Shen, wouldn't they be doomed?
Duanmu Lin stared blankly at Madam Tong, and said pitifully, "Mother."
Madam Tong frowned, suppressing the urge to slap Duanmu Lin. What was this dignified Marquis Zhengye, a tall and strong adult, doing with tears welling up in his eyes?
"Shut up!" Tong shouted at Duanmu Lin, then said to Ji Xiaoxiao, "Give us water."
"Why should I?" Ji Xiaoxiao crossed her arms in front of her chest.
Tong pinched the flesh of her palm with her fingernails. "I am your maternal grandmother."
"When you assassinated my father, forced my mother to her death, and caused the deaths of my two young brothers, didn't you think of yourself as my maternal grandmother?"
It would have been better if she hadn't mentioned it, because Tong Shi had hit the original owner's sore spot right away, and Ji Xiaoxiao was furious.
Ji Xiaoxiao shouted, "Want some water? Fine, I'll kill one of you."
Qin Qing rushed forward and grabbed the thick log with both hands, "Don't even think about it."
Ji Xiaoxiao shrugged. "Then we'll wait and see."
After a pause, Ji Xiaoxiao added, "Once you've made your decision, I can help with the killing."
Can the elderly, weak, sick, and disabled kill people?
Tong closed her eyes and gently patted Duanmu Sen's back.
Duanmu Lei licked his chapped lips, his eyes fixed intently on Ji Xiaoxiao.
There will be water soon.
Qin Qing opened her mouth, but in the end remained silent, squatting in the corner of the cell.
Half an hour later, Tong moved.
"Qin Qing, this is for Sen Ge'er," Madam Tong said helplessly.
Qin Qing silently shed tears, "Mother, I don't want to die."
Tong sighed and told Ji Xiaoxiao to do it.
Ji Xiaoxiao opened the cell door and dragged Qin Qing out. With one hand, she stopped Qin Qing from moving, and with the other hand, she took a dagger and swiftly slit Qin Qing's neck, hot blood spurting out.
"Hurry up and get a bowl to serve it," Ji Xiaoxiao reminded her.
Tong's eyes widened, but when she thought of her unconscious grandson, she resigned herself to her fate.
After feeding his grandson Qin Qing's blood, Duanmu Sen's complexion improved considerably.
Time flies. Half a month later, there were still two people breathing in the cell. One was a skeleton with bones scattered everywhere, and the other was a corpse with only a little flesh left.
"We're almost out of food," Ji Xiaoxiao said.
In the prison cell, Duanmu Sen shivered as he held Tong Shi in his arms.
“Grandmother,” Duanmu Sen called out.
Madam Tong patted Duanmu Sen's head and gently comforted him, "Don't be afraid, Grandma is here."
After calming Duanmu Sen down, Tong pointed to the half-rotten corpse outside and said, "There's still meat in there, don't try to fool me, bring it in."
Ji Xiaoxiao turned her head to look at the corpse beside her. The corpse was just a skeleton with bits of flesh and bones. The only part that was still edible was the head.
You can vaguely make out Duanmu Lei's face from that head.
