A classic and luxurious coffee shop in the city.
Ji Xiaoxiao picked up her coffee and took a small sip.
"Uncle, what did you want to tell me?" Ji Xiaoxiao put down her coffee.
“I hope you break up with my son,” Hu Shiquan said.
Ji Xiaoxiao calmly added a sugar cube to her coffee cup. The sugar cube dissolved slowly, and she used a small spoon to stir and mix the coffee.
Hu Shiquan glanced sideways. The girl opposite him was calm and composed, her demeanor leisurely, unlike the guilty and uneasy girl who should be facing the father of her boyfriend in her early love.
"If her family background were even slightly respectable, just a little bit, I probably wouldn't have objected to them."
Hu Shiquan firmly believed that one should marry a virtuous wife.
With a barely perceptible sigh, Hu Shiquan took out a check and gently placed it on the table. "Leave my son, and this money is yours."
Ji Xiaoxiao's astonishment was undeniable. Hu Shiquan, dressed like an elite, had a confident and determined air about him, which greatly enhanced his charm.
That's a lot of money; Hu Shiquan is absolutely certain that Xiao Xiao would accept it. The poor girl clinging to his son—ultimately, it's all for that pittance.
Ji Xiaoxiao picked up the check, glanced at it indifferently, and said, "Ten thousand?"
Hu Shiquan arrogantly raised his chin, "Consider the extra money as payment for spending the night with my son."
You've never seen so much money before!
When young boys and girls fall in love, the stirrings of adolescence, their sweet nothings and constant whispers and caresses inevitably lead them to the same bed.
His son is destined to be a great man, and as his father, he has the obligation and responsibility to clean up Hu Song's messes from his youthful indiscretions.
Hu Shiquan offered an unusually high price, clearly determined to silence Ji Xiaoxiao. "He who eats another's food is bound to him; he who takes another's money is bound to him. He should keep his mouth shut and live a quiet life."
Ji Xiaoxiao waved the check, "You think you can get rid of me with ten thousand yuan? You think you can get rid of a beggar?"
Hu Shiquan's smile froze.
In broad daylight, under a clear blue sky, blooming flowers are suddenly greeted by lightning and thunder. After the storm, the broken branches and withered leaves are left in a sorry state.
Hu Shiquan leaned forward and said, "What did you say?"
Ji Xiaoxiao said impatiently, "What I mean is, this amount of money isn't enough. If you want me to leave your son, you'll need at least this much." Ji Xiaoxiao held up five fingers.
"You want 50,000 yuan?" Hu Shiquan was taken aback by Ji Xiaoxiao's huge appetite.
Fifty thousand yuan is no small sum, and this brat has the nerve to ask for it.
Hu Shiquan secretly thought, "I want to seduce students too!"
Upon closer reflection, this really is a promising career.
Ji Xiaoxiao shook her head, "It's not fifty thousand."
If it's not fifty thousand, then it's five hundred thousand!
Hu Shiquan's facade nearly crumbled. "Five hundred thousand! Get out! Get out of here!"
Ji Xiaoxiao said disdainfully, "Uncle, as a man, you should have some guts. Ten thousand, fifty thousand, five hundred thousand, you're too embarrassed to even offer such a small amount of money. If you're a man, we'll settle this at a fixed price: five million, no discounts."
Ji Xiaoxiao slammed her hand on the table, as if a judge were using a gavel to decide the outcome. Hu Shiquan was startled, and a bead of sweat appeared on his forehead.
"You're dreaming." Hu Shiquan was furious. He had trusted Hu Song's judgment before. Although the girl's family background was ordinary, she was a well-rounded student who excelled in morality, intelligence, physical education, aesthetics, and labor. With a little polishing, she would surely stand out one day.
Slap! In fact, that shameless bitch slapped him hard across the face.
This girl is no good student at all; she's a gluttonous beast who won't stop until she's fleeced this fat sheep.
Ji Xiaoxiao put the check into her pocket. "If you don't want to, fine. Anyway, I don't want to leave Hu Song."
Hu Shiquan glared angrily. This girl... she actually took the check!
Shock, heartache, doubt, anger—Hu Shiquan was overwhelmed with mixed feelings.
Ji Xiaoxiao continued mischievously, "Uncle, please don't be angry. Getting sick from anger will cost money to go to the hospital. You just gave me 10,000 yuan for free. You'll have to be frugal for a long time to come!"
"Give me back my money." Hu Shiquan stretched out his hand, his broad palm covered with two or three calluses.
Ji Xiaoxiao crossed her arms and said, "No."
"Give it back to me immediately," Hu Shiquan said softly for the last time.
Ji Xiaoxiao was completely shameless, like a dead pig that doesn't fear boiling water. "That's my money," she said confidently, seemingly oblivious to any sense of shame.
Unable to bear it any longer, Hu Shiquan stood up and grabbed Ji Xiaoxiao's hand.
"Uncle, you're the mayor of our city, are you really going to be pulling and tugging at a minor in public?" Ji Xiaoxiao warned Hu Shiquan to be careful.
She could tolerate Hu Shiquan's insults about money, but that was only because of money and Hu Song's sake that she didn't break his arm. If he didn't know what was good for him and went too far, then he shouldn't blame her for being ruthless and heartless.
Enraged, Hu Shiquan momentarily forgot his place. Indeed, Hu Shiquan was the top official of this small coastal city—the mayor.
Hu Shiquan took a deep breath, precisely suppressing the anger in his heart. He didn't want his headshot to be all over the front page tomorrow because of a moment of losing control.
Give me my money back.
Hu Shiquan didn't steal or rob; this ten thousand yuan was his allowance saved up over a year. Ji Xiaoxiao wouldn't listen to good advice, so there was no need for him to waste a single penny on her.
Since you've already eaten it, why throw it up?
