Chapter 500 The Truth That Was Tampered With (End)

"If it were a case of judging someone's crime, who would have a better chance of winning?" Ji Xiaoxiao asked with great interest.

Rong Tian is incredibly strong, to the point of being utterly unreasonable. Ji Xiaoxiao has fought Rong Tian several times, and each time she has been defeated within three moves.

Rong Tian stroked his chin. "If the people who set up the formation are all Venerables, I might lose."

Ji Xiaoxiao rolled her eyes at Rong Tian. Did he think Venerables were like cabbages? Bringing a dozen at a time?

"The [Judgment] they set up is not perfect. The array core needs at least one supreme expert, and there need to be twelve people guarding each of the twelve sides for the [Judgment] to be flawless." Rong Tian said gloatingly, "If they can't take down Hentian, they might even lose themselves."

No sooner had Rong Tian finished speaking than the formation shattered with a crack.

Hentian wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth. "You used [Judgment] against me? Have you forgotten that I am also familiar with [Judgment], know its weakness, and can defeat it in one blow?"

The Heavenly Dao Palace has existed for tens of thousands of years, through countless changes and transformations, yet the number of its Supreme Elders has remained at twelve. Outsiders are unaware of the reasons behind this, but Hentian, once one of the Supreme Elders, understands the intricacies of the matter. The activation of the [Judgment] formation requires at least thirteen people; the formation's core is always guarded by the Sect Leader, while the twelve positions are overseen by the Supreme Elders.

Kaitian vomited a mouthful of blood, "You planned this all along."

A hundred years ago, Lian Tian and Min Tian died tragically. Despite their grief, the ancestral rules could not be broken, and the Heavenly Dao Palace must always have twelve Supreme Elders. He discussed with the sect leader about selecting new Supreme Elders, but Hen Tian obstructed the process, delaying the matter until now.

Hentian laughed wildly, "It's just being prepared for a rainy day."

Kaitian and the others lay on the ground, barely alive. The [Judgment] formation had shattered, and the backlash from the array had left them severely injured. Hearing Hentian's words, they were so angry that they vomited blood several more times.

"It's my fault," the sect leader of Li Tian Dao Palace said remorsefully.

Hentian took a step forward and struck the crown of the head of the Litian Dao Palace with a palm. "It is indeed your fault. Go to hell and repent to your ancestors."

The head of the Heavenly Dao Palace rolled his eyes back and died with his eyes wide open.

"Hate Heaven, how dare you!" Kaitian was consumed by rage, determined to exchange his life for another.

Hentian glanced at Kaitian, "I don't want to kill you, don't force me."

Kaitian took good care of him when he was young; it could be said that without Kaitian, there would be no Hentian.

Kaitian opened his mouth, but found that Shitian and Chuangtian beside him had pulled him back. They shook their heads and blinked vigorously, urging Kaitian to hold his temper. The sect leader was already dead, and if these elders were to make any further mistakes, the Heavenly Dao Palace would surely descend into chaos and would soon perish.

To distance himself from the Heavenly Palace, Kaitian turned his head away.

"Hate Heaven, you..."

Instead of attacking Kaitian and his people, Hentian killed some of his close associates, such as the Supreme Elder Zaotian and Shatian.

Ji Xiaoxiao and Rong Tian remained motionless, yet they witnessed everything that was happening at Hentian's place.

"What is Hentian doing?" Ji Xiaoxiao asked, puzzled.

Both Zaotian and Shatian were his men, how could he bring himself to do it? Well, it's not surprising that someone like him would turn against his own people. What Ji Xiaoxiao couldn't understand was why he let Kaitian and the others go; those people genuinely wanted him dead.

Rong Tian smiled and said, "I can guess a bit of what he's thinking."

Hentian always considered himself a member of the Litian Dao Palace, and he did not want the Litian Dao Palace to be destroyed because of him.

Demonic slaughter? Righteous justice? In reality, they were all just a bunch of bandits fighting each other for profit. When the Heavenly Dao Palace weakened, they attacked with their massive armies, dividing up the spoils. The Heavenly Dao Palace disintegrated, disappearing without a trace in the sands of time.

"This guy still has some conscience." Ji Xiaoxiao turned her gaze, and Hentian was walking towards them step by step.

"Venerable Rongtian, please make your move," Hentian said, bowing.

Rong Tian shook his head. "I won't make a move."

Ji Xiaoxiao stepped forward and said, "This is my business, it's none of his concern."

Hentian looked at Ji Xiaoxiao with a furrowed brow. "I know I am going to die today, but Venerable Rongtian, you don't need to humiliate me with a woman."

Hentian believed himself to be a hero of the world, and that he should compete with the heroes of the world for the Central Plains, not play house with a woman.

They look down on women and hate the heavens.

Ji Xiaoxiao chuckled a few times, her face thick with gloom. She didn't bother arguing with Hentian, but instead took out a disc and sent it into the sky. The disc spun, growing larger and larger until it seemed poised to swallow the heavens and earth.

"Come out!" Ji Xiaoxiao said in a deep voice.

Too late.

Hentian's robes billowed without wind, and with a snap, the four, including Wan Gui Mozun, were sent flying in all directions. With a deafening roar, four mushroom clouds rose one after another in the distance.

Hentian sent the four Demon Lords of Ten Thousand Ghosts flying, but didn't kill them one by one; all he wanted was to save his own life. Human life was of paramount importance, let alone his own. Hentian channeled his spiritual power, his feet seemingly aided by a whirlwind, his escape speed as fast as lightning.

Ji Xiaoxiao frowned. Just as Hentian said, if he wanted to escape, she was indeed powerless to stop him. But Hentian was too arrogant, insisting on including Rong Tian in her camp. With Rong Tian's power, defying fate, destroying and creating a new world was merely a matter of a thought for him.

"He's trying to escape." Ji Xiaoxiao bit her lip and shook Rong Tian's arm.

"I won't let him escape." Rong Tian rubbed Ji Xiaoxiao's head. This girl was a master of coquetry. His mouth was dry, his throat was tight, and his body felt tense yet both painful and pleasurable.

Ji Xiaoxiao sat down next to Rong Tian and hugged his arm tightly. "Then why aren't you making a move? I'm going to make sure he dies today, otherwise all my previous preparations will be in vain."
