Chapter 503 A Different Husband (Part 3)

Seriously, no one can do this. Threatening his wife with his own son, is Wu Ruo even a man?

Ji Xiaoxiao grabbed Wu Ruo's ear, "Wu Ruo, the little brat you're talking about is your own son. You're using him to threaten me? Are you even human? What kind of father are you?"

Wu Ruo's ears were in excruciating pain. Being slapped in the face by a woman in public was incredibly humiliating and disgraceful. Filled with rage, Wu Ruo only wanted to retaliate fiercely, "A bastard born of a vile woman, he doesn't deserve to be my son."

Perhaps it was the lingering emotions of the original owner that caused the problem. Ji Xiaoxiao punched Wu Ruo in the stomach. It was a full-force attack from Ji Xiaoxiao. Although she was a woman who could only lift a weight, she used all her strength, enough to make the good-for-nothing who had been decadent for a year suffer.

"Ugh." Wu Ruo collapsed to the ground, tears streaming down her face, vomiting bile.

"Su Tang, you dare hit me, you dare hit me, I'll..." Wu Ruo turned to Su Tang, who loved her son the most, "When I get home, I will definitely beat that bastard to death."

Ji Xiaoxiao's eyes were cold and contemptuous; she thought the ants were not worth mentioning.

"Scumbag!" a timid little girl shouted, shrinking her neck.

"What did you say?" Wu Ruo glared at the little girl, who was startled and hid behind a burly man.

"Dad," the little girl said sweetly.

The burly man patted the little girl's head, facing Wu Ruo directly with an imposing aura, like a devastating tornado. "Hmm, you dare to scare my daughter? Are you looking for death?"

"Big brother, I...I was wrong," Wu Ruo said meekly.

The burly man said disdainfully, "There's a seven-year itch in marriages. You've grown tired of and disliked your wife, which happens to most men. But the child is innocent. You call your son a bastard. It has nothing to do with my reputation as a man. You've completely disgraced men."

Starting with the burly man, one by one, passersby bursting with a sense of justice began lecturing Wu Ruo, one after another, seemingly without end.

Wu Ruo's face was red and purple, caused by both great hatred and anger, as well as embarrassment and shame. He lowered his head, not daring to argue with them. Before, he was arrogant and domineering in front of Ji Xiaoxiao, with an arrogant attitude that made him the only one who mattered in the world. Now he was cowering and trembling, like a quail that had been frightened and dumbfounded. It really proved the old saying that people pick on the weak.

Ji Xiaoxiao ignored Wu Ruo and coldly watched as Wu Ruo was trapped in a predicament where she was condemned by everyone.

Swoosh, swoosh, Wu Ruo slowly moved towards her side step by step.

"What are you going to do?" Ji Xiaoxiao cupped her face in her hands, her eyes filled with fear and disbelief. "Wu Ruo, are you going to hit me again?"

Ji Xiaoxiao let out a sob, squatted down, and covered her face to weep.

"No." Wu Ruo came to his senses and said to everyone, "I didn't, I didn't want to hit her, I just... I just..." Wu Ruo couldn't say what he meant. In the eyes of outsiders, he was already shameless, and he couldn't let them think he had no backbone. He couldn't tell them that he was going to ask Ji Xiaoxiao for help.

The outsiders shook their heads, no longer sternly lecturing Wu Ruo that this man was beyond saving, and instead gently advised Ji Xiaoxiao to think more positively.

"Girl, divorce is a major life event for a woman, but you're better off without a man like that," the older woman said.

"Yes, it's better to divorce this kind of scumbag who doesn't know how to care for others and has an ambiguous relationship with his sister-in-law as soon as possible."

There are plenty of men out there; there's no need to fixate on one crooked tree.

Their words were crude but their reasoning was sound, and Ji Xiaoxiao obediently nodded in agreement.

"What a sweet and lovely woman."

Ji Xiaoxiao gives people a good impression. She devotes herself to her family. Her husband is a coward and violent man. She endures his outburst for the sake of her son. She is a virtuous woman who is pitiful.

"Wu Ruo, let's get a divorce!"

Wu Ruo exclaimed "Eh?" and asked happily, "You really?"

“But my son will be raised by me,” Ji Xiaoxiao added.

Wu Ruo's eyes darted around as she started making plans. "What a worthless bastard! Let her raise him if she wants. He can even save on food expenses. Why not?"

“Okay.” Wu Ruo’s face was full of joy, but his brows furrowed slightly, as if he had forgotten something of utmost importance.

Ji Xiaoxiao was decisive and efficient. There were several law firms specializing in divorce cases near the Civil Affairs Bureau. She took Wu Ruo inside, and within an hour, the documents were finalized. Ji Xiaoxiao gave Wu Ruo one million yuan; their son, Wu Kangzhi, would be raised by Ji Xiaoxiao; and Wu Ruo's visitation rights with Wu Kangzhi required Ji Xiaoxiao's approval. Ji Xiaoxiao didn't scrutinize the other miscellaneous conditions, nor did Wu Ruo.

"One million, don't forget to give it to me." Wu Ruo's mind was completely focused on that one million. One million, that's a million! Wu Ruo was determined that if Ji Xiaoxiao reneges on the debt, he would sue her to death, even if it meant going bankrupt.

Ji Xiaoxiao responded indifferently, "We're divorced. I'll give it to you once I've packed my things."

Wu Ruo couldn't wait any longer. She dragged Ji Xiaoxiao into the Civil Affairs Bureau, quickly completed the divorce, and then shoved Ji Xiaoxiao into her car. The car sped off and returned to the underground parking lot of the residential area in the blink of an eye.

Ding-dong!

The two entered the elevator and remained silent.

The door opened, and Wu Kangzhi ran over, hugging Ji Xiaoxiao's legs tightly and refusing to let go.

Ji Xiaoxiao's eyes were sharp, and Wu Kangzhi's cheeks were red and swollen, indicating that he had been beaten.

"It's okay, Mommy's here." Ji Xiaoxiao picked up Wu Kangzhi, whose eyes were red and filled with tears. "Baby, tell Mommy who bullied you, and Mommy will stand up for you."

Wu Kang cried out and shook his head; he could not speak.
