Ji Xiaoxiao responded indifferently, "We're divorced. I'll give it to you once I've packed my things."
Wu Ruo couldn't wait any longer. She dragged Ji Xiaoxiao into the Civil Affairs Bureau, quickly completed the divorce, and then shoved Ji Xiaoxiao into her car. The car sped off and returned to the underground parking lot of the residential area in the blink of an eye.
Ding-dong!
The two entered the elevator and remained silent.
The door opened, and Wu Kangzhi ran over, hugging Ji Xiaoxiao's legs tightly and refusing to let go.
Ji Xiaoxiao's eyes were sharp, and Wu Kangzhi's cheeks were red and swollen, indicating that he had been beaten.
"It's okay, Mommy's here." Ji Xiaoxiao picked up Wu Kangzhi, whose eyes were red and filled with tears. "Baby, tell Mommy who bullied you, and Mommy will stand up for you."
Wu Kang cried out and shook his head; he could not speak.
"Why won't you speak?" Ji Xiaoxiao kissed Wu Kangzhi's forehead tenderly. The child was unwilling to speak, and Ji Xiaoxiao did not want to force him.
Upon entering the living room, one finds it filled with smoke, with five middle-aged women gathered around playing cards and smoking.
"Su Tang".
"Su Tang, you dare to come back? I'll beat you to death today."
The five middle-aged women threw down their cards, glaring angrily at Ji Xiaoxiao, as if they were about to pounce and bite her.
"You dare touch me?" Ji Xiaoxiao said coldly.
"I dare you!" A middle-aged woman in a plaid dress raised her hand to slap her, but Ji Xiaoxiao reacted quickly and kicked the woman in the stomach.
"Ouch!" the old lady screamed, clutching her stomach and rolling on the ground.
"Su Tang, how could you hit an elder? Have you forgotten all your manners?" Wu Ruo yelled at Ji Xiaoxiao, then rushed over to help the old lady up, anxiously asking her how she was doing. She hoped the old lady wouldn't get hurt, otherwise she'd be blaming her and costing her more money.
“We’re divorced. He’s your elder, he has nothing to do with me,” Ji Xiaoxiao said.
Wu Ruo said matter-of-factly, "No matter what, my aunt is old, in poor health, and has a bit of a temper, but you, a young woman, can't just lay a hand on her. Can't you be a little more understanding? Look at how petty you are, you really haven't seen the world."
In the end, it's all her fault, right?
Ji Xiaoxiao carried Wu Kangzhi into the room without saying a word to pack their things.
"Mom, are you leaving?" Wu Kangzhi stood to the side, his eyes brimming with tears.
Mom is packing her clothes; she must be leaving home.
"Waaah..." Wu Kangzhi cried as he hugged Ji Xiaoxiao's leg, choking out, "Mommy, don't go, Mommy, don't go."
His father doesn't love him. What will he do if his mother leaves too?
Wu Kang was terrified. Everyone in his family except his mother was a bad person. His father was a bad person, his aunt was a bad person, his cousin was a bad person—they were all bad people. His face hurt, his hands hurt, his feet hurt, his whole body ached, and he was so hungry.
"Mommy, don't leave me behind! Kang Kang wants to stay with Mommy!" Wu Kang cried.
Ji Xiaoxiao knelt down with pity and gently hugged Wu Kangzhi. "Don't be afraid, Mommy is here. Mommy will take Kang Kang with me."
"Together? Kang Kang with Mom?" Wu Kangzhi raised his innocent face.
Ji Xiaoxiao gently wiped away Wu Kangzhi's tears, "Yes, let's go with Mom and leave this awful place."
Wu Kangzhi paused, the gloom on his face dissipated, and in the blink of an eye, he beamed with joy.
"Kang Kang, if you want to take something, why don't you bring it to me yourself?"
After wiping her face clean, Wu Kangzhi was a little thin and had a slightly yellowish complexion, but she was undoubtedly a beautiful baby.
“Okay.” Wu Kangzhi ran out of the room and headed straight for his own small bedroom.
Ji Xiaoxiao packed quickly, taking nothing she was supposed to take and leaving nothing she didn't want to touch.
Dragging her suitcase out of the room, Ji Xiaoxiao heard Wu Kangzhi crying again. Ji Xiaoxiao felt sorry for the child, but it wouldn't do for him to always burst into tears at the slightest provocation; a boy should behave like a boy.
In the living room, a group of adults sat indifferently on the sofa and chairs, watching the two children fight—or, to be more precise, one strong, overweight child unilaterally beating the other, a thin child.
"That's my toy," the chubby boy said arrogantly.
Wu Kangzhi clutched a toy tightly, saying, "That's Kang Kang's. Kang Kang's mom bought it for him."
The chubby child raised his fist high, "If you don't give me back my toy, I'll punch your eyes out."
The chubby boy remained true to his original intention, convinced that the toy in Wu Kang's arms was his.
“That’s Kang Kang’s toy, I won’t give it to him,” Wu Kangzhi said stubbornly.
The chubby boy clearly lacked patience, and his fist slammed down hard.

Wu Ruo's face turned red, and she shouted at the top of her lungs, shocking everyone around her.
What's wrong? Why does he look like a little kid being bullied?
Wu Ruo glared at Ji Xiaoxiao, "Su Tang, the evidence of your extramarital affair is conclusive. You'd better come in with me to complete the divorce procedures, or you'll be waiting for a court summons."
Ji Xiaoxiao crossed her arms and sneered, "Sue me? Fine, you've got guts, go ahead and sue me! Do you think I'm afraid of you?!"
Seeing that Ji Xiaoxiao wouldn't budge no matter what he said, Wu Ruo was so anxious that his mouth was covered in blisters.
“You forced me to do this.” Wu Ruo pointed at Ji Xiaoxiao and said shamelessly, “Su Tang, I advise you to obediently divorce me, otherwise that little brat will make him suffer.”
Ji Xiaoxiao stepped forward and, with lightning speed, slapped Wu Ruo across the face. Wu Ruo's face instantly swelled up, turning his once handsome face into a pig's head. Still not satisfied, Ji Xiaoxiao then spat three times.
