"Cheng Gui, where are we going?" Ji Xiaoxiao asked, keeping her eyes on the road as she drove, chatting with Mo Cheng Gui as she went.
“Go to Hope Base,” Mo Chenggui replied succinctly.
Ji Xiaoxiao frowned, clearly dissatisfied with the answer. She had finally escaped from Hope Base, yet she chose the path to hell when there was one. She must have been out of her mind to go back.
"I'm not going." Since the Lan family wasn't at the base, Ji Xiaoxiao didn't really care where she went.
Ji Xiaoxiao stopped the car and said again in a righteous tone, "I'm not going to Hope Base."
"You'd better go, or you'll have to go." Mo Chenggui glanced at Ji Xiaoxiao, his cold and sharp aura instantly filling the cramped carriage.
Ji Xiaoxiao, not to be outdone, was about to retaliate when a gunshot rang out from her left rear. The two people in the car exchanged a glance, deciding to leave it to themselves and drive away from the trouble immediately. However, fate had other plans; a dozen men and women, along with a large group of zombies, appeared behind the car.
The group's motives were particularly egregious, attracting hordes of zombies that completely blocked the surrounding roads and alleys. Ji Xiaoxiao angrily slammed her fist on the steering wheel, telling Mo Chenggui not to cause trouble, before getting out of the car.
After working together with the group to open a path and escape safely, Ji Xiaoxiao leaned against the car, sweating profusely and panting heavily. She was so tired that she didn't want to move a single finger.
"Holy crap, didn't they say the number of zombies around the base had suddenly decreased? What was that huge group just now?" After the initial shock, a rough voice rang out from the group.
"That's right, being out of touch with the news can be deadly." Many voices echoed this sentiment, chattering on and on.
"Alright, stop arguing." The woman, dressed in a red bodysuit, shouted, and the surroundings immediately fell silent.
Ji Xiaoxiao looked displeased, stepped forward and slapped the woman. Seeing the woman's shocked expression, she said nonchalantly, "I hit you! If you don't like it, go die!"
