Chapter 59 Apocalyptic Zombies Turn to Good (Part 8)

The sudden slap made the woman in red wince in pain, clutching her face which was gradually turning red and swollen. She looked at Ji Xiaoxiao in disbelief. Hearing Ji Xiaoxiao's boastful words, she was consumed by rage, which burned away all her reason and patience. She forgot all her caution when she was out and about, and her mind was filled with thoughts of how to deal with Ji Xiaoxiao.

"You bitch, I'll take your life!" The woman in red yelled at Ji Xiaoxiao, stretching her neck so that her head was high looking down, as if she thought, "I'm so great, I'm so powerful, whoever messes with me will die." She acted all high and mighty.

Ji Xiaoxiao's lips curled up slightly, revealing a contemptuous sneer. She beckoned with her right index finger, "If you're so capable, then come on. What are you yelling for? Are you trying to see who can shout the loudest? Don't act like you're invincible and the only one who matters. It makes me want to vomit."

The woman in red angrily pulled out the pistol tucked into her waistband, the empty muzzle pointed at Ji Xiaoxiao's head. With just a light press of her finger, a loud bang would shatter the silence, and an ordinary person would be doomed.

Realizing she had the upper hand, the woman in red turned her anger into joy, saying, "If you obediently kneel down and kowtow to admit your mistake, I might seriously consider sparing your life."

Speechless, Ji Xiaoxiao shook her head, her figure flashing by as she kicked the pistol out of the red-clad woman's hand. Without the pistol, the red-clad woman's arrogance subsided slightly. She quickly retreated a few steps, warily guarding against Ji Xiaoxiao's inexplicable attacks. Her disappearances were unusual, her reappearances unpredictable; the red-clad woman guessed that Ji Xiaoxiao possessed some strange and mysterious power.

"Who are you?" Having unwittingly provoked such a powerful enemy, the woman in red instantly searched through the information of people she had already offended and those she might have offended, but found no one who matched Ji Xiaoxiao.

Ji Xiaoxiao, of course, wouldn't answer the woman in red; she and the original owner had an irreconcilable hatred for each other. In the original owner's memories, before Lan Xiaoxiao was betrayed by the Lan family and sold to the research institute, she was the exclusive slave of the woman in red before her.

What good things could happen to slaves? Nothing, only overwhelming pain and torment. The woman in red used countless methods, and countless young men and women died at her hands. The original owner of this body was saved by divine intervention.

The moment the original owner saw the woman in red, she was suddenly enraged. Her resentment surged, and she temporarily suppressed Ji Xiaoxiao, successfully regaining control of the body. In a fit of rage, she slapped the woman in red hard across the face.

The memory ended, and Ji Xiaoxiao scanned her surroundings. After considering her options, she slowly stretched out her hand, but her five fingers suddenly clenched into a claw, and an invisible internal force emanated from her palm. As if dragged by a ghost, the woman in red floated towards Ji Xiaoxiao.

Grabbing the woman in red's face, Ji Xiaoxiao exerted a little force, and the woman in red let out a pig-like scream, "Ah... do you know who I am? I advise you to release me right now, or you will definitely suffer the consequences."

Ji Xiaoxiao was a typical coward who bullied the weak and feared the strong. The more the woman in red bullied her and shouted, the more Ji Xiaoxiao tightened her grip. The woman in red saw right through Ji Xiaoxiao's actions and knew her intentions at a glance.

"You little brat, don't mess with people you don't know. Do you even know who I am? I'm Li Yan'er, the Black Widow, one of the four kings under Brother Black of Hope Base. If Brother Black finds out you've messed with his people, you'll die a horrible death." Li Yan'er didn't believe anyone wouldn't be afraid of Brother Black.

Even in the post-apocalyptic world where communication was difficult, Brother Hei's reputation was known to everyone. Before the apocalypse, he was notorious for his cruel and bloody methods, and he was a 100% effective tool for exorcising ghosts, suppressing demons, stopping crying, and scaring children out of their wits.

"With Brother Hei around, I no longer have to worry about my child being naughty," a good mother said meaningfully.

Brother Hei's name is legendary, but so what? Ji Xiaoxiao doesn't care about him. "Distant water can't quench a fire nearby. By the time he arrives, you'll already be nothing but bones left in the mouths of zombies."

Ji Xiaoxiao's words made perfect sense, and Li Yan'er couldn't help but frown and feel depressed. Even if Brother Hei knew that she had been crushed to death by someone with one hand, not to mention whether Brother Hei would leave his decadent penthouse for an insignificant woman, how could Brother Hei save her in that life-or-death moment when the two places were so far apart?

"What are you all looking at? Are you all stupid? The boss has been beaten up, so hurry up and fight back!" Since the boss didn't have to go himself, he had no choice but to reluctantly send his underlings into battle.

The underlings were dumbfounded by Ji Xiaoxiao's mysterious power and stunned by Li Yan'er's frail appearance. Overwhelmed by these conflicting emotions, and unable to process them all at once, their limited mental capacity caused a temporary mental freeze. They stared blankly at the two women, Ji Xiaoxiao and Li Yan'er, tearing each other apart.

Li Yan'er yelled and screamed, and her underlings gradually woke up as if from a dream, looking around in surprise. Having eaten and slept their fill, the dozen or so strong men and women, unprepared for the stray bullets that might injure Li Yan'er, drew their various swords and knives with renewed vigor and charged towards Ji Xiaoxiao with shouts and cries.

Ji Xiaoxiao gripped Li Yan'er's face, her nails digging into her flesh, calmly watching the acrobats perform their acts. As the underlings approached Ji Xiaoxiao, she slowly spun around, then suddenly released her grip on Li Yan'er. Like bowling, the ball went down with a resounding clang, and all ten pins fell and were swept away.

With a throw of the sandbag, Ji Xiaoxiao instantly dispatched more than half of her underlings. The remaining men, fearing Ji Xiaoxiao, feigned fearlessness and trepidation, baring their teeth at her.
