Chapter 59 Apocalyptic Zombies Turn to Good (Part 8)

Ji Xiaoxiao rushed forward, her movements swift and agile, her gaze sharp and fierce. The conscious underlings screamed in terror, dropping their knives and swords and scattering in all directions, ignoring the unknown fate of Li Yan'er and the other unconscious brothers and sisters.

Those who were still conscious all fled, and the rest were either unconscious or dead, posing no threat whatsoever. Mo Chenggui then got out of the car and suggested to Ji Xiaoxiao, "They're an eyesore. Should I summon some zombies to deal with them?"

Ji Xiaoxiao shook her head, saying with compassion, "No need. I feel I owe them something, and I can't bring myself to do it."

To be frank, Ji Xiaoxiao was telling the absolute truth. The lingering emotions of the original owner had resurfaced and were causing trouble again, making it impossible for Ji Xiaoxiao to completely eradicate them.

“Xiaoxiao, you are a good person. I won’t let you be sad.” Mo Chenggui lowered his head and saw the kindness and magnanimity deep in Ji Xiaoxiao’s eyes. His hesitation disappeared immediately. “Get in the car. We’re going to Hope Base.”

Mo Chenggui remained resolute, while Ji Xiaoxiao hesitated, repeatedly asking him why they absolutely had to go to the Hope Base. The Hope Base was not only the original owner's nightmare, but also the hell where Mo Chenggui was imprisoned and researched for life. To protect Mo Chenggui, Ji Xiaoxiao insisted that the Hope Base must never be approached.

"No, I hope the base doesn't go," Ji Xiaoxiao refused.

Mo Chenggui's face was grim, and he said forcefully, "You have to go, Xiaoxiao. I'm doing this for your own good, so you have to listen to me. I'm sorry."

As soon as Mo Chenggui finished speaking, a faint fragrance wafted through the air. Ji Xiaoxiao was puzzled and suddenly everything went black. Then, a strong drowsiness overwhelmed her, and she struggled to sink into layers of endless darkness.

After an unknown amount of time, Ji Xiaoxiao opened her heavy eyelids and looked around sleepily. The place was extremely spacious, and the luxurious chaise lounge caught the gold-digging woman's eye and glittered. Along the wall were rows of bookshelves, piled high with books, and the floor was covered with a soft gray-white animal hair carpet. Stepping on it was so refreshing that Ji Xiaoxiao was having a great time.

"Is it fun?" The newcomer, with a sharp mind, casually revealed Ji Xiaoxiao's intentions while holding a huge teddy bear.
