Mo Shoucheng's face turned ashen. He ordered two men to carry the submissive Ji Xiaoxiao out of the lavish room. Another man held a gun to Ji Xiaoxiao's back, instructing him to execute her on the spot if she resisted. He showed no mercy.
On the way to the underground research lab, the familiar layout and decor were immediately apparent: blindingly bright incandescent lights, floors that doubled as mirrors, seamlessly integrated walls, and a pervasive, pungent smell of disinfectant. Ji Xiaoxiao's suspicions were confirmed. Indeed, the research lab Mo Shoucheng had mentioned was the very hell where Mo Chenggui and Lan Xiaoxiao had been imprisoned.
The research lab was located deep underground. Ji Xiaoxiao and her group took the elevator, sitting in pairs in silence, watching the numbers flash by. With a ding, Ji Xiaoxiao arrived at her destination.
The first thing you see is a large hall, about the size of a football field. Researchers in white lab coats come and go, their expressions varied—some frowning, others beaming. They use all sorts of high-tech equipment to conduct all sorts of horrific experiments, regardless of age or gender. The elderly, children, men, and women are all covered in plastic tubes from which an unknown liquid flows.
"I regret it so much." Her voice was as soft as a mosquito's buzz, yet it resonated like thunder.
Ji Xiaoxiao's body began to tremble rapidly and violently out of control. She broke free from the man's restraints, fell to the ground, and rolled around in agony. Then, her convulsions stopped, her once bright eyes became misty, and white foam appeared at the mouth of her pearly white teeth. Possessed by a ghost, acting erratically, the researchers who rushed over gave Ji Xiaoxiao a sedative injection, preventing her from biting her tongue and committing suicide in a moment of delirium.
A moment of shock passed quickly, and when Ji Xiaoxiao awoke again, a burning rage of hatred raged in the wind. Her blocked meridians surged violently, sending her flying into the sky. Invisible internal energy surged wildly, and the simple room began to shake.
