Chapter 61 Apocalyptic Zombies Turn to Good (Part 10)

A clang echoed through the empty research institute late at night, lingering for a long time. Unsure of Mo Chenggui's exact location, Ji Xiaoxiao hesitated by the door, unsure whether to turn left or right. But then she thought, Mo Chenggui, as the only zombie with self-awareness, was undeniably important. The more important something is, the deeper it is hidden.

A light flashed on Ji Xiaoxiao's forehead, and she slapped her thigh, "Just go downstairs."

The research institute is shaped like an inverted bowl, divided into eighteen floors from top to bottom, with an elevator on each floor leading directly to the next. Upon reaching the next floor, one must pass through a guardhouse before taking the elevator to the next level. Each floor is designed this way; although it's inconvenient and troublesome, it significantly reduces the chances of unauthorized entry by thieves and petty criminals.

Ji Xiaoxiao walked past the guardhouse without any change in expression. When she passed the main gate, she stopped and waved with a bright smile, "Hey, guys, you've worked hard."

If the guards could say "Serve the people," Ji Xiaoxiao would definitely run off at top speed and give each of the lovely guards a passionate kiss.

Dreams are beautiful, but reality is harsh. Ji Xiaoxiao ignored the speechless and exasperated expressions of the guards, waved her sleeves without leaving a trace, and easily arrived at the elevator. She pressed the down button and waited quietly for the elevator to come up.

At this moment, the guards came to their senses, hurriedly grabbed the submachine guns that were lying to the side, and ran to Ji Xiaoxiao's back. At the leader's command, the guards all pulled the triggers. Bang bang bang bang, countless bullets shot towards Ji Xiaoxiao.

"Ulala, ulala, ulala ulala..." Ji Xiaoxiao remained still and hummed a little tune softly.

Just as the bullet was about to pierce flesh and bone, it suddenly stopped half a meter away from Ji Xiaoxiao. "Hey, I'm not a ghost. The way you guys look like you've seen a ghost makes me doubt whether I'm even human." Ji Xiaoxiao casually glanced back, displeased with the guards' expressions, and said, trying to get them to change their ways.
