"Brother, when do you think sister will come back?" Bai Yiliuyun asked Bai Yiliufeng in a low voice as they navigated the winding paths through the grove.
"Soon, your sister will be here soon," Bai Yiliufeng reassured Bai Yiliuyun.
In the twins' eyes, Ji Xiaoxiao was an omnipotent goddess. When they were young, Ji Xiaoxiao taught them martial arts to strengthen their bodies. She split rocks and mountains with a single palm strike, leaving a tall and majestic image in their hearts. As time went by, this image became clearer, more discernible, and more unfathomable.
"Yes, my sister is so amazing, she'll find us in no time." Bai Yiliuyun's small fist was weak and limp, but it held a belief and determination that most people didn't have.
In the classroom filled with the sound of students reading aloud, Ji Xiaoxiao suddenly opened her eyes, stood up, told the teacher she wasn't feeling well, and, regardless of whether the teacher believed her or not, quickly left the classroom. Reaching a secluded spot, Ji Xiaoxiao used an invisibility spell to fly through the air towards a grove of trees.
"Sister never expected how Liuyun sees her! Sister is so happy!" Ji Xiaoxiao found the twins and overheard their chatter.
Upon hearing Ji Xiaoxiao's voice, the twins excitedly emerged from their hiding place and rushed to her, hugging and nuzzling her affectionately.
Perhaps emboldened by their newfound power, the twins' unbridled behavior attracted the attention of Dr. Lin and his team.
"Come quick, there's a noise over there!" someone shouted.
Ji Xiaoxiao didn't flinch or hide when she was discovered; she quietly waited for Dr. Lin and his team to arrive. Half a minute passed silently, and Dr. Lin appeared before Ji Xiaoxiao, panting.
"Escape? Even if you escape to the ends of the earth, you can't escape the Heavenly Palace's grasp." Dr. Lin said proudly, leaning on the sapling.
Ji Xiaoxiao's lips curled up, but before she could speak, Tie Aimei said in a panic, "Qingqing, what are you doing? Don't be with the test subjects, come to Mommy, Mommy will protect you."
