Zhang Jian thanked him repeatedly with great emotion.
"No need to thank me, it's not like you're not paying for the consultation. It was just a small favor, we're all from the same hometown."
Zhang Jian was relieved after hearing this and let the other person give him acupuncture. He couldn't very well film a travel variety show abroad and then take advantage of his fellow villagers; that would be too embarrassing.
After the doctor inserted a few needles and removed them, Zhang Jian felt much better in his lower back.
"Wow, that's impressive! Where is your clinic located?"
As the doctor packed his things, he grumbled, "What? Are you asking for the address so you can come all the way from China for acupuncture?"
Zhang Jian looked somewhat innocent and whispered, "We were recording a show and were thinking of secretly giving you a shout-out."
The doctor's eyes lit up, and he stopped putting away what he was holding, looking around for the camera while reciting his clinic's address and contact information.
Everyone else couldn't help but laugh when they saw it, and they all stood behind the doctor, hoping that the advertisement wouldn't be cut out later.
Peng Lei and Zhao Shufang suggested, "Let's take a group photo. You can hang it in the clinic later. After all, calling you in for a house call suddenly would have delayed your regular appointments today."
The doctor said nonchalantly, "What's the big deal? I don't see many patients every day. The locals are poor, they don't come for minor illnesses, they just come to buy some medicine. Besides, I charge for my house calls, you're not getting a free ride, it's not a problem."
After everyone took a group photo, I chatted with the doctor about my experience when I first came to this area.
When Lin Yang woke up, the doctor was giving a fascinating account of his experience of being threatened and robbed.
"No matter where you are, there are good people and bad people. You have to be careful when you're out and about. It's quite dangerous for a girl like you to go out alone today without speaking the language. But most people here are very kind. Some patients even gave me various kinds of meat they hunted that I didn't recognize. It made me feel really embarrassed. You can try some of the local specialties later. The cooking methods are very primitive, and I don't think they suit our tastes very well, but that's the local flavor. Well, you're awake now, so I'll be going now."
The doctor examined Lin Yang again, left some medication, and then Zhang Jian and Sheng Yiyi took the doctor home together.
Kang Le's good mood from listening to the story instantly turned gloomy, and tears streamed down her face. Wiping them away, she said in a sobbing voice, "Brother, I thought you were dead~ Waaah~"
Lin Yang, who was drinking water, almost choked. The emotion that had just welled up in his heart vanished instantly. What was this kid saying?
Peng Lei couldn't help but lightly pat Kang Le on the back of the head, "What nonsense are you talking about? Your brother was perfectly fine, how could he be dead?"
Peng Miao brought Lin Yang some food and soup. After Lin Yang finished eating, he felt his body suddenly regain strength. Although he felt like he had been pulled out of the water, his body was no longer so weak.
