Chapter 155 What a Small World

Liu Shile stared at her older sister with her innocent big eyes, looking puzzled as if she didn't know what her sister was asking.

Liu Shixi reached out and tapped her younger sister's forehead. "When did you become so naughty? You just said someone pre-ordered some fritters?"

Liu Shile wasn't in a hurry to legitimize kiwifruit. It's not good to be too ahead of your time with some things. She just needed to discover them and then turn them into money. She didn't care about anything else.

Seeing her older sister's anxious and expectant look, Liu Shile didn't keep her in suspense any longer. She nodded and said, "Yes, someone has made a reservation, but I'm not here, so I don't know what price they're offering."

Li Xiaoru didn't tell her this. She figured that Brother Wang probably hadn't told the girl either; everyone was careful when it came to money.

Upon hearing this, Liu Shixi was delighted. She thought, no matter how much or how little money it costs, as long as someone is willing to buy it, that's fine!

However, she immediately thought of a very important question, so she quickly asked, "Who is that person? How much do they want to buy?"

Well, it's fine to ask the first question, but the second question really stumped Liu Shile.

She didn't know how much they wanted either, otherwise she wouldn't have gone to the purchasing station to ask today. The older sister really knows how to grasp the key points. How was she supposed to answer that?

After thinking about it, she answered the two questions truthfully. As for what her older sister thought, that was her business.

However, she then added, "If others can't finish it, then you can eat some whenever you want, it's good for your health anyway, and it won't be a waste."

Liu Shixi rolled her eyes at her, but she understood what her sister meant, so she didn't continue the conversation. Instead, she asked when the other party would come to pick it up.

They then brought up the issue of how long the fritters could be stored, and worried about how people would have trouble carrying them. They urged Liu Shile to prepare, such as lining the baskets with a thick layer of straw or pine needles.

Liu Shile was speechless. Well, she had found something to do again. But her older sister's reminder made sense. The food they sent last time needed to be left for a while before eating, so it wouldn't be a problem if it got bumped or knocked.

This time it's different; most of it is edible. If we process it the same way as before, many of the items will probably be damaged by the time people take them back.

For the sake of long-term benefits, Liu Shile patiently took protective measures for the fruit.

Seeing that it was almost time, she picked up the fruit and went out. Not long after, she saw a large truck parked on the side of the road in the distance.

Before I even got close, I heard a somewhat familiar voice ask, "Brother Dong, who are you waiting for here?"

Then Wang Xiaodong said with a smile, "Waiting for the two kids, what a coincidence, we actually ran into you here. Don't tell me you live in town?"

"No way, I'm just visiting relatives. I have to go back to my post this afternoon." Zhang Shoujun was too embarrassed to say that his family was forcing him to come here for a blind date.

As they were talking, they heard a noise and saw Liu Shile. Zhang Shoujun felt completely terrified.

Just as she was hesitating whether to smile at the person, she heard Dong Ge next to her say in surprise, "Lele, you're really accurate! You knew I was here at this time!"

"I thought Brother Wang hadn't arrived yet, but I didn't expect you to be waiting for me so long. I'm a little embarrassed." Liu Shile arrived right on time, but she never expected that he was already here.

Seeing that the two knew each other, Zhang Shoujun felt that the world was a bit small. But before he could say anything, the girl said again, "Comrade, what a coincidence, we meet again."

So what could Zhang Shoujun do? He forced a slightly stiff smile and greeted Liu Shile.

Wang Xiaodong was also somewhat surprised, "You two know each other?"

Liu Shile nodded, glanced at Zhang Shoujun, smiled and briefly explained how this man had saved her sister, then seriously asked him his name.

Zhang Shoujun scratched his head a little embarrassedly, "It's nothing, it was just something I did on the side, and I didn't even help much. I don't deserve your thanks."

After exchanging pleasantries, they got down to business.

Wang Xiaodong glanced at Zhang Shoujun and, seeing that he had no intention of leaving, didn't waste any more time and started talking about buying fruit.

Zhang Shoujun was initially unimpressed by the sight of the hairy fruit, but he was somewhat surprised when Dong Ge said he was going to spend money to buy it.

Then he saw that the little girl and Dong Ge had reached a deal in just a few words. His eyes almost popped out of their sockets. This thing can be sold for money?

"Come on, Shoujun, try this wild fruit, it tastes good." Wang Xiaodong wasn't stingy; after buying the fruit, he casually grabbed two and handed them to Zhang Shoujun.

Zhang Shoujun was too embarrassed to accept them, so he naturally tried to refuse, but he couldn't refuse them all, so in the end he accepted the two wild fruits.

Wang Xiaodong was short on time, and although he couldn't buy enough fruit, he knew there was nothing he could do about it.

So I asked about Liu Shihua's situation and found out that the two of them had gone to high school in the county town and were usually not at home. I noted this down, said goodbye to them in a hurry, and drove away.

As soon as he left, Zhang Shoujun felt a little awkward. He smiled at Liu Shile and prepared to take his leave.

But Liu Shile wasn't going to let him go so easily. Her older sister had said she wanted to thank him, and she wouldn't let him go without finding out his situation.

As a result, Zhang Shoujun was somewhat overwhelmed. He was puzzled. He hadn't intended to tell the truth, but somehow he had unknowingly revealed his family situation.

"Thank you so much, Comrade Zhang. My older sister will thank you in person once she recovers. I have to go now, goodbye."

Having gotten the answers she wanted to know, Liu Shile didn't stay any longer. She needed to go home and tell her older sister the two pieces of good news, so that her sister could be happy too.

On her way back, Liu Shile encountered a kind-looking middle-aged woman who glanced at her a couple of times. She was already used to it, so she didn't mind.

She returned home with light steps. Liu Shixi's clothes were still not finished washing, probably because she was distracted.

Seeing her younger sister return empty-handed, Liu Shixi's eyes lit up, and a smile appeared on her lips.

"Big sister, let me tell you, I just ran into the comrade who helped you yesterday. His name is Zhang Shoujun, and he's from Zhangjia Village on the edge of the next town."

However, Liu Shile didn't immediately tell her how much money she had made; instead, she brought up this.

Upon hearing this, Liu Shixi's smile paused slightly, then she nodded, "I'll thank him after my foot heals."

After saying that, she looked around the house and noticed that her mother was very quiet today. She wondered what her mother was doing in the house, so she quietly asked about the wild fruits.

Liu Shile smiled and helped Liu Shixi into the house, saying that it was too sunny outside and that her older sister should go inside and rest for a while.

Zhang Sumei frowned when she heard this, but she didn't say anything. She was determined to see it all today.
