"Cough cough cough"
Under the watchful eyes of Tsunade and the Root ninjas, an old man with a withered face and wearing a black, tight-fitting combat suit slowly walked out of the deepest room in the base.
Tsunade was stunned when she saw the person who had arrived; it was none other than her teacher, Hiruzen Sarutobi.
But now, the kind smile was gone from his face; his old face was full of gloom, and in the pale light, he looked like a venomous snake lurking in the shadows.
Hiruzen Sarutobi slowly stepped forward and stood beside Danzo, gazing at Tsunade with a chilling look. Danzo, Hiruzen, and the ninjas standing in front of and behind them all had cold glints in their eyes.
This situation made Tsunade feel as if she had fallen into an ice cave, and the last remaining embers of hope in her heart were about to be extinguished.
"Stop, Tsunade! This is all a misunderstanding. Danzo was only trying to protect Konoha."
Seeing Tsunade looking like a lone beast, Hiruzen Sarutobi hesitated for a moment, but in the end he chose to stop Tsunade from continuing.
"Hissing"
Tsunade stared at Hiruzen Sarutobi with a distorted expression, her voice filled with despair and struggle.
"Sarutobi-sensei, I'll call you 'sensei' one more time. Open your eyes and look at the experimental materials in those rooms behind you. Your teacher and their grandson are in there!"
Tsunade's voice was like a cuckoo's mournful cry. After hearing it, Hiruzen Sarutobi subconsciously glanced at Danzo. He saw that Danzo was also looking at him, his eyes full of trust and determination.
Then Hiruzen Sarutobi looked at Tsunade and said softly, "I'll say it again, this is all a misunderstanding. We need this power to protect Konoha!"
Even after you leave here, you will still be the Fifth Hokage.
