Chapter 349 Unexpected Discovery

Seeing this, Pei Nansheng felt a little envious and jealous. There was nothing he could do; all the dogs in his family favored Zuo Ling and always liked to hang around her.

The wind in the mountains gradually picked up, and the surroundings looked particularly desolate and barren. After a while, they felt bored and decided to go to the stream where Zuo Ling had released the fish fry.

Someone found wild vegetables on the mountain, and the news spread like wildfire. Many people flocked to the mountain to search for them, while there were hardly any people by the stream.

Pei Nansheng was in charge of starting the fire, Zuo Ling was killing fish, the little wolf and the dog were playing and frolicking by the stream, and the waterfall lay quietly to the side, occasionally letting out a few muffled sounds.

The fire was quickly lit. Pei Nansheng looked at his sister, who was focused on cleaning the fish, and then at the two little ones playing happily. His heart was filled with happiness. He truly enjoyed this simple and carefree life.

The flames flickered, warming him all over, and at that moment, Pei Nansheng felt very relaxed.

But then, a sharp pain struck, as if a giant hand was squeezing his heart. Overwhelming fear engulfed him. He clutched his chest tightly, desperately trying to breathe deeply to alleviate the terrible pain, but to no avail…

His face grew paler and paler, and he was starting to have trouble breathing.

Zuo Ling had her back to him and didn't notice that the dog and the wolf were running further and further away, while the waterfall was dozing off with its head tilted to the side.

Life fades away as quickly as a candle flickering in the wind. Pei Nansheng reached out with difficulty towards Zuo Ling, but Zuo Ling was completely unaware.

With a sudden sense of relief, Pei Nansheng gasped for breath like a thirsty fish, the suffocating pressure receding like the tide.

The large hand on his chest had vanished, as if what he had just experienced was merely an illusion, a dream that had never truly existed.

Pei Nansheng searched his body, trying to find a trace of the suffocation. The feeling of suffocation was so real, how could it be a hallucination!

But my body has indeed returned to normal, with no signs of pain whatsoever, which is really strange.

Just as he was filled with doubt, Zuo Ling came over carrying a bowl of fish: "Brother, what's wrong? What are you looking for?"

Before Pei Nansheng could answer Zuo Ling, the dog in the distance started barking wildly, and the wolf cub followed suit with howls, as if urging them to hurry over.

The two thought the two little ones must have made another discovery, so they quickly walked towards where they were.

"Coming, coming, stop calling."

As they got closer, their eyes narrowed. The two little ones had dug a hole, and inside the hole were a pile of hair and quite a few teeth!

Pei Nansheng's face was gloomy. Thinking about what had just happened, was it a superhuman's premonition of an impending disaster? What was he foreseeing?

Does this mean taking back the life he loves? That would mean...

Pei Nansheng felt a chill run through his body and dared not think any further.

Zuo Ling's expression was also not good; the current situation immediately reminded her of the vampire vines.

"Brother, that old bastard from the Ding family isn't dead. He's come to the base."

The two lost all interest in sightseeing and needed to inform Chief Mei of this unexpected situation as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, Liu Bao'er was in a secluded place, meeting someone the siblings would never have imagined.
