Ji Yueyao rolled her eyes at Chongyuan and said calmly, "I poured my heart and soul into unifying the Nanxiao base for you. What's wrong with you reading more documents and doing more work?"
"You, you, you!" Chongyuan was speechless at Ji Yueyao's shamelessness, and could only stare at Ji Yueyao as if he wanted to stare a hole through her.
"Hey, stop glaring." Ji Yueyao braced herself on the table, her dark eyes fixed on Chong Yuan, making him feel a chill run down his spine from her murderous gaze. Chong Yuan coughed lightly, almost unable to suppress the smile on his lips, "Why are you looking at me? Do I look more handsome than before?"
"Chongyuan, who exactly was the person who organized and led the civilian forces back then?" Ji Yueyao squinted and finally asked the question that had been weighing on her mind for so long.
Chongyuan was taken aback, seemingly not expecting Ji Yueyao to suddenly ask this question. He looked up at Ji Yueyao and said with interest, "Are you really that concerned about this matter?"
“He used me once, and it’s hard to guarantee he won’t do it again.” Ji Yueyao didn’t miss a single expression from Chong Yuan. She stood up and shrugged, looking somewhat annoyed. Someone who could persuade Wang Yingying to use his own brother as bait to achieve his goals was someone she really had to be wary of.
Chongyuan chuckled, "It won't do you any harm if he uses you, will it? Look at you, you're already the second seat now. He just thinks you're more suited to this position. In fact, you've done a very good job."
"Oh, you think so highly of me? I see that Wang Yingying staring at me with a murderous look all day long, it's impossible for me to have a good mood." Ji Yueyao said seemingly unconcerned. She breathed out and blew on her hands before turning around and sitting down on the sofa next to her.

“Bring back one of my most important people,” Ji Yueyao said calmly.
Upon hearing this, Chong Yuan raised an eyebrow. "An important person? Your boyfriend?"
Ji Yueyao nearly choked on her saliva. She turned around and glared at Chong Yuan, saying irritably, "Get out of here, he's my partner."
"Is he a superhuman?" Chongyuan asked with great interest, propping his head up with his hand and smiling.
"Hmm." Ji Yueyao nodded, a dark light flashing in her eyes. "I plan to bring him back directly. Now that I'm the second-in-command of the Nanxiao base, those annoying bastards shouldn't be able to stop me anymore."
