Chapter 230 Sheath and Soft

"..." Ji Yueyao held the unidentified object in her hands. Just as she was frowning and about to say something, a pure power came directly from her palm. In that instant, her whole body seemed to relax, and even her breathing became much lighter.

"What is this?" Ji Yueyao frowned, asking with some curiosity.

“We call your anomaly a sheath,” Hai said softly, looking at the tiny child wriggling slightly inside the large clump of slime in Ji Yueyao’s hand. “From now on, it belongs to you.”

“An anomaly…?” Ji Yueyao frowned, looking at Haidao. “How is it different from you?”

"It wasn't bred by us normally; it was irrigated with the blood of us time-manipulating beings. And the one in your hand was irrigated with its blood by your brother." Hai raised his hand and covered the sheath in Ji Yueyao's hand. Then, he grabbed her wrist and placed it on the slime. Before Ji Yueyao could react, he used his other hand to pierce a hole in her hand with his fingernail.

Ji Yueyao's pupils contracted slightly. He glanced at the sea but did not speak or withdraw his hand.

Her blood quickly dissolved into the mucus, and then the entire mucus gradually dried and hardened, revealing the inner sheath at a visible speed.

“I have given it all of my brother’s consciousness, so it will hatch soon as long as it has your blood.” He placed the sheath solemnly in Ji Yueyao’s arms, his voice trembling slightly. “Each sheath has a different personality and different powers. I don’t know much about this sheath’s abilities. You can ask it yourself.”

The sheath in her arms was a little girl of five or six years old. The girl had light, crystal-blue hair and skin as clear as crystal. For a moment, Ji Yueyao almost thought she could see through the child in front of her.

As Ji Yueyao was examining her appearance, the sheath in her arms suddenly opened its eyes. The dark red eyes almost startled Ji Yueyao. She lowered her eyes slightly and looked into the sheath's eyes without saying a word.

Sheath's eyes were fixed on her, then she suddenly smiled, revealing her cute little teeth, her voice soft and sweet like honey, "Master..."

Ji Yueyao blinked twice like a fool, then looked up at the sea, "Her name is Sheath?"

"You can name her," Hai said calmly, then pulled Ji Yueyao out. Now that the sheath had been given to Ji Yueyao, she couldn't stay where her parents were anymore. After all, they, being different beings and humans, were ultimately incompatible.

“I don’t think sheath is suitable for you…” Ji Yueyao looked at sheath in her arms and felt like she was looking at an adorable little child. She lowered her head, thought for a moment and then said softly, “From now on, you will be called Ruan Ruan.”

"Ruan Ruan?" Sheath bit her little finger, then nodded with a smile. "Master, my name is Ruan Ruan."

"Don't call me master...it sounds weird." Ji Yueyao hesitated. "Just call me sister."

"Sister." Ruan Ruan was very obedient.

“It looks like it has a very docile personality… Sheaths like this are easy to care for, you’re very lucky.” Hai looked down at the sheath in Ji Yueyao’s arms and said softly.

Ruan Ruan smiled, her eyes crinkling. She reached out and touched Ji Yueyao's face, her crimson eyes filled with adoration. "I belong to my master."

"Call me 'sister'." Ji Yueyao turned her head helplessly, but unconsciously looked at the soft and cute face with a doting expression.

"I'm the older sister's," Ruan Ruan said obediently again, her big eyes curving into slits. (To be continued.) m..read for a better reading experience.
