Yang Ziye glared at him, and the shopkeeper immediately cowered.
"Sell, sell, sell! Let's sell them all together!"
Xia Lan watched as Yang Ziye turned twenty yuan into one yuan in one go, and chuckled.
"Shopkeeper, don't say I'm not patronizing your business. How about this? Do you have any more of these plain-looking bottles? I'll take them all!"
Xia Lan smiled and asked the shopkeeper.
"Yes, yes, yes! Of course we have them." The shopkeeper smiled warmly, and without saying another word, he went to the corner and grabbed four or five more plain bottles.
Xia Lan got the whole package.
Xia Lan nodded.
"That's all! Please wrap it up for me, so it doesn't get damaged when I get on the bus."
"Alright!" The shopkeeper grinned as he quickly wrapped up Xia Lan's bottles. Qin Yu then walked up to the shopkeeper to pay.
Yang Ziye immediately blocked him.
"Brother, you're being too polite. I promised to give it to my sister-in-law."
"You only gave me that one; the others are ones I bought myself."
Xia Lan smiled at Yang Zihua.
"She has me; she doesn't need you to send her."
Qin Yu immediately rejected Yang Ziye's suggestion. He was with his wife; how could he allow her to accept gifts from other men?
"..."
Sensing the killing intent in Qin Yu's eyes, Yang Ziye obediently took two steps back.
They stopped arguing with Qin Yu about paying.
It's not expensive anyway, only five yuan.
If word got out that Yang Ziye only bought five yuan's worth of goods, he'd be laughed at to death.
Qin Yu and Yang Ziye carried Xia Lan's spoils towards the alley entrance.
On her way back, Xia Lan also spotted some jadeite at a roadside stall and spent a "huge sum" of five cents to buy a pair of jade pendants carved with dragons and phoenixes.
Sitting in the car with her load of spoils, Xia Lan was overjoyed.

Qin Yu glanced at it, then reached out and took the side from Xia Lan's hand.
"?" Xia Lan looked at Qin Yu in confusion.
Qin Yu rubbed Xia Lan's head but didn't answer.
"Okay, it's all the same since we're a couple anyway."
Xia Lan smiled and put the other half away.
Qin Yu looked at the jade pendant in his hand and gave Xia Lan a deep look.
He didn't know what to say.
His intuition told him that he had to take the Phoenix Jade and let Xia Lan take the Dragon Jade.
The vehicle slowly drove to a remote mountain village. When the guards at the gate saw Yang Ziye peeking out, they immediately removed the roadblock, allowing Yang Ziye to drive the car in.
After parking the car, Yang Ziye had just gotten out when a man and a woman approached him.
"Hey, what brings you here today, Yang Ziye?"
"Brother Jin, Sister Honglian." When Yang Ziye saw the people coming, his legs almost went weak. It was Qin Yu who grabbed him and prevented him from collapsing to the ground.
"Do you remember us? Who are these two? You know the rules, you can't just bring outsiders in, right?"
Zhang Jin and Qin Yu locked eyes, but Qin Yu indifferently looked away.
Yang Ziye looked at the two of them, and he hadn't expected them to be here today!
"Brother Jin, Sister Honglian, these are two friends I just made. This is Qin Yu, and this is my sister-in-law, Xia Lan."
Upon hearing Yang Ziye call a newly made friend "brother," Zhang Jin and Honglian exchanged a glance.
"Since you're a guest, I'll let you off the hook today. You haven't even passed your own assessment yet! How dare you bring others in?"
Honglian made the decision and relented.
Yang Ziye breathed a sigh of relief, thinking he had gotten through the day.
The topic of Honglian shifted.
"You'd better finish your assessment today, or don't bother coming back."
"...Sister Honglian, please give me a way out!"
“You know the rules!” Zhang Jin glanced at Yang Ziye.
"We've given you many chances already."
If it weren't for Yang Ziye's identity, he would have been turned away long ago.
"What kind of assessment is this?"
Xia Lan listened for a while, then asked curiously.
"Little sister, you don't know what I do here, do you?"
