Chapter 1 Did you wear a prosthetic leg?

"However, you have to do one thing before you can eat the cake."

Jin Nana's words left Lin Wanxing confused, her large, watery eyes widening slightly. "What are you doing?"

Chen Xueping suddenly laughed, grabbed Lin Wanxing and pulled him over, "Do you see that man sitting in the corner, wearing glasses?"

The bright red fingernails gleamed, and Lin Wanxing looked in the direction she was pointing. "I saw it."

"Now that we've seen it, things will be much easier."

"Go over to him and ask if he brought his prosthetic leg with him when he came to the bar today."

This question is nothing short of a mockery to someone with a leg disability, and is extremely humiliating.

Lin Wanxing also realized that the question was malicious. He looked at Chen Xueping's face and asked, "Can we not ask?"

"No, if you don't ask, you're not coming back with me."

Faced with her threat, Lin Wanxing had no choice but to go over.

He walked over timidly with his head down.

The two people upstairs were watching a show. Chen Xueping was determined to rub salt into Shen Huai'an's wounds, and she even brought in Lin Wanxing as a scapegoat.

Lin Wanxing slowly moved over like a snail, and Shen Huai'an also noticed the child who was slowly approaching.

The two bodyguards standing behind her were about to step forward to stop Lin Wanxing when Shen Huai'an waved his hand to stop them.

"Um... um..." Lin Wanxing stammered, not daring to look up at the man. He hesitated for a long time before finally daring not to ask the question.

"What's up?"

The deep, magnetic voice above him was very pleasant to hear. Lin Wanxing knew that Chen Xueping was watching him from upstairs, so he mustered up his courage and slowly looked up.

The light flashed by, revealing those handsome, captivating eyes hidden behind his glasses.

"I...you..."

Lin Wanxing met those eyes and froze for a few seconds, because he had never seen such a good-looking person before, handsome and charming, yet so gentle.

He stared intently at Shen Huai'an, then, as if suddenly remembering something, quickly lowered his head.

Shen Huai'an immediately realized from his behavior that there was something wrong with his brain.

He sighed helplessly and said slowly, "Just say what you want to say."

"They sent me to ask you, did you bring your...prosthetic...limb to the bar today?"

The last two words were audible, and if you didn't listen carefully, you wouldn't be able to hear them at all. Unfortunately, Shen Huai'an had exceptionally good hearing.

"I don't wear a prosthesis because I have a limp, not an amputation."

Surprisingly, Shen Huai'an did not get angry, nor did he vent his anger on Lin Wanxing.

Shen Huai'an was unusually patient. He asked casually, "They sent you to ask them, so who are they?"

He quickly gleaned the key words from Xiao Sha's words: the people who truly wanted to see him make a fool of himself were "them".

It's just a mouse hiding in a corner.
