Shen Huai'an hadn't expected Xingxing to get lost, but it was all his oversight.
He didn't want Xingxing to hate him because of this incident. Fortunately, a kind person helped him call the police today, and his Xingxing was neither lost nor harmed.
"Second brother, I know I haven't done well lately, Xingxing, please forgive me, okay?"
Shen Huai'an spoke sincerely, his tone and expression filled with sorrow and worry.
"Second brother, is your leg alright?" Lin Wanxing glanced at Shen Huai'an, who wiped away his tears.
Shen Huai'an was surprised. He didn't know why Xingxing suddenly asked about his leg. "It's okay, of course it's okay. Xingxing, don't worry about me."
Lin Wanxing was only asking tentatively, but her second brother still kept something from her.

Seeing this, Shen Huai'an could only take him home as soon as possible.

I thought they would be happier after getting married, but unexpected things happened. Everything was going in a good direction, and those annoying guys were gone.
He had eliminated all those who stood in his way, but how did things end up like this with Xingxing?
Back home, Shen Huai'an was still completely baffled.

Seeing that Lin Wanxing had been found, Butler Chen was relieved. He had been anxiously waiting at home for news of Lin Wanxing but couldn't get any more.
Evening Star doesn't usually wander off, but today it just suddenly disappeared for no apparent reason.
Seeing that Wanxing had returned, he went up to her and invited her to the restaurant.
Butler Chen pulled out a chair for Lin Wanxing and pressed him into it.
"Are you hungry? I've prepared some food for you. Wanxing, hurry up and eat a bite while it's still hot."
Butler Chen served up the steamed buns that Lin Wanxing usually loved, as well as braised pig's trotters, sweet and sour pork tenderloin, and shrimp soup. He had carefully prepared all of these in advance, just waiting for Wanxing to come home.
"You have no idea how worried Mr. Wang was when he heard you were missing. He even canceled the afternoon meeting. He's been quite busy lately. Wanxing, if you feel unwell, you must tell him. Please don't do anything like today again, or Mr. Wang won't be able to handle it."
Lin Wanxing was still very hungry, but when she saw these dishes, she couldn't eat anymore.
He asked Butler Chen, "Second Brother, does he really care about me?"
"Of course, what's wrong between you two? Wanxing, why would you ask such a question? I've seen how the gentleman treats you."
"You two should communicate in a timely manner if there are any conflicts. If you talk things out as a couple, things will naturally be easier to handle. Keeping things bottled up will not only fail to solve the problem, but will also cause the relationship between you two to grow further apart because of the conflict."
"Wanxing, if the gentleman does something wrong, you should tell him immediately."
Lin Wanxing took Chen's words to heart; he and his second brother really needed to have a proper conversation.
Perhaps there's a reason for everything, or maybe I've made a mistake.
Lin Wanxing thought for a moment, then lowered her head and began to drink the hot soy milk.
Shen Huai'an walked over from the living room, took off his suit jacket and casually threw it on a chair. He glanced at Butler Chen and left on his own.
There were only these two people left in the restaurant.
Shen Huai'an took a deep breath, pulled out a chair, and sat down opposite Lin Wanxing.
"Where did you go today? Didn't Zheng Hu take you home? How did you get lost?"
“I specifically told Zheng Hu to take you home, and he assured me repeatedly that he would take you home, but you left after you got home.”
"I called you but you didn't answer. You're really making me so worried."
Lin Wanxing lowered his head and drank his soy milk, unsure how to answer his second brother's question.
He held the soy milk, gritted his teeth, and finally asked the question that had been on his mind all along.
"Second brother, has your leg healed a long time ago?"
Shen Huai'an's expression was subtle; he paused for a few seconds before quickly recovering.
"Why are you asking me this kind of question? Who told you that?" Shen Huai'an's words were tantamount to a direct admission.
Lin Wanxing's eyes widened, his face filled with shock and disbelief. He put down the soy milk in his hand. "So your leg is really healed?"
"You're lying to me, you've been lying to me all along, you're so bad, you're worse than anyone else."
