"A wise person knows when to yield. Do you really want my parents-in-law to be criticized and pointed at when they are middle-aged?"

Mo Tingchuan grabbed Mingdai's hand threateningly, "I'm doing this for your own good."

"Smack!"

Mingdai struggled free and slapped Mo Tingchuan hard across the face.

"Mo Tingchuan, remember this: your current success will soon be ruined by your ingratitude."

Mo Tingchuan raised his hand in a fit of rage, seemingly intending to slap him back.

Mingdai angrily grabbed a teacup and smashed it at his feet.

"Try touching one of my fingers if you dare!"

Teacup shards flew everywhere, and tea spilled all over Mo Tingchuan's trouser leg.

Mo Tingchuan tried to calm himself down.

He doesn't hit women, and he wouldn't really do anything to Mingdai.

He just wanted Mingdai to understand that things were different now, and that he, Mo Tingchuan, was no longer the same Mo Tingchuan who had compromised and yielded three years ago.

“Mingdai, remember this: if I, Mo Tingchuan, fall, your Ming family will not be able to escape unscathed.”

Mo Tingchuan slammed the door and left.

A cold wind howled in through the open door, and Mingdai stood frozen for a long time without moving.

Anger, heartache, disappointment, and a mix of other emotions mingled together as she slowly leaned back against the sofa, her body trembling.

She absolutely must get a divorce.

How could she allow Mo Tingchuan to bully her like this!

Mingdai immediately met with a lawyer.

Despite running a high fever, her mind was perfectly clear; she knew that Mo Tingchuan would leave with nothing and wouldn't get a single penny.

She also met with the female driver who had left her job and now runs a dessert shop.

"On my birthday last year, were you by my side the whole time?"
