Chapter 4 The Heir to a Wealthy Family – He Yaonian

The next morning, Mo Tingchuan indeed appeared in the apartment in a hurry.

Mingdai had just woken up; her cold hadn't gotten better and she had a slight fever.

She was lazily sitting in the living room drinking water when she saw Mo Tingchuan come in, and she didn't even bother to give him a glance.

Mo Tingchuan seemed oblivious to Ming Dai's indifference as he stepped forward and stood in front of the sofa.

"Get ready, you're meeting someone very important today."

Mingdai turned a deaf ear.

Mo Tingchuan was a little impatient. "It won't do you any harm. Go and get ready."

As he spoke, he reached out to help Mingdai up.

Mingdai immediately glared at him like a knife, "You dare touch me!"

Mo Tingchuan's hand froze in mid-air. After a moment of silence, he spoke in a gentle tone.

"Can we talk about our issues later? This matter is really important today, and as my wife, you have to be there."

Two hours later.

Mingdai got out of the car and glanced at the magnificent and luxurious villa in front of her. Behind her, she heard the voices of Mo Yumei and Mo Qingying talking.

"Mom, will we really be living here from now on?"

"Of course."

"Qingying, this will be your home from now on."

The sudden male voice made Mingdai turn her head instinctively.

The middle-aged man standing next to Mo Yumei was very handsome, and he had a charming and debonair air about him when he smiled and spoke.

Ming Dai had heard of this person before. He Yaoyuan, the powerful eldest son of the He family in City A, was known for his infatuation with his wealthy wife whom he married into the family through an arranged marriage.

However, the beauty died young, passing away a few years ago.

But if he truly loved his wife, then why did Mo Yumei and her two children come into the picture?

Oh!

"Speak less and observe more; don't ask questions you shouldn't ask."

Mo Tingchuan reached out to take Mingdai's hand, but Mingdai avoided him without hesitation.

"Just keep going on your way," she whispered sternly.

Mo Tingchuan's expression changed, but he quickly regained his usual sanctimonious demeanor.

As she ascended the steps, Mo Yumei glanced down at Ming Dai, as if from this day forward she was now an unapproachable superior to Ming Dai, and all the help Ming Dai had given her family of three in the past had become an honor for Ming Dai.

He Yaoyuan followed Mo Yumei's gaze to Ming Dai, gave her a friendly smile, nodded, and said nothing.

Mo Qingying was arrogant and held her head high. She was about to become a genuine heiress of a wealthy family. What was Ming Dai anyway? How could she possibly be above her?

Faced with the hypocrisy and snobbishness of this family of three, Mingdai merely curled her lips slightly, thinking, "Whether they're real or not remains to be seen."

The two followed He Yaoyuan and Mo Yumei and her daughter into the luxurious villa.

The villa boasts a wide view, with a magnificent crystal chandelier adorning the high dome of the double-height living room. Bright sunlight streams in through the French-style arched windows, making the pink peony vase on the cream-white table appear even more elegant and noble.

The matching leather sofas were filled with people, each with an outstanding appearance and an air of nobility; at first glance, they were mostly young people.

At this moment, these people are looking at the doorway with a mix of leisure, indifference, and disdain.

It was as if a pride of lions had been mixed in with wild dogs.

"Third Uncle, should we set off a few strings of firecrackers to welcome him?"

The woman who spoke stood up sarcastically, glanced at the people at the door with her round and charming eyes, snorted disdainfully, and then poured a cup of tea for the man who was resting with his eyes closed in the main seat.

"Third Uncle, what you did was really not very ethical. If Grandpa knew that you let your mistress bring her illegitimate child into our He family, he would be so angry that he would jump out of his coffin."

Upon hearing this, Mingdai's long eyelashes fluttered slightly, and she was in a beautiful mood. It seemed that the He family did not welcome Mo Yumei and her son very much.

"He Xingqiong!"

He Yaoyuan stood protectively in front of Mo Yumei and whispered a reprimand, "Have some manners."

"rule?"

"You openly bring your mistress and her child into my home. Do you have any manners? Or do you really think that just because my aunt is dead, you can do whatever you want without any worries?"

The atmosphere instantly fell silent.

Mo Yumei, who was publicly called a mistress, was so embarrassed that she blushed. She probably did not expect to be so humiliated as soon as she entered the door.

Mo Yumei lowered her eyes in shame. Her haute couture dress, which usually made her look dignified and proper, now made her look somewhat hunched over in a disheveled manner, as she had always tried to maintain her proud posture in front of Ming Dai.

Mo Tingchuan and Mo Qingying caught Mo Yumei almost instantly. The brother and sister looked increasingly grim, but dared not say anything, as they would still need to rely on the He family's power to swagger around in the future.

The handsome men and beautiful women on the sofa all seemed indifferent to the matter.

In the eerie silence...

"Xingqiong".

The bespectacled, refined-looking man in the corner of the sofa sighed softly, "You're defying your superior? Don't you want to live anymore?"

The humorous and comical tone is absolutely hilarious.

Those noble and privileged young men and women did indeed burst out laughing, showing no mercy whatsoever.

Mingdai silently twitched the corners of her mouth; the He family members were quite amusing.

He Xingqiong's pretty face was visibly speechless, and she even rolled her eyes in a down-to-earth manner before plopping back down.

He Yaoyuan was embarrassed and annoyed, but he couldn't do anything about He Xingqiong. Mingdai, on the other hand, could see that He Xingqiong was relying entirely on the power of her third uncle.

He Yaoyuan cleared his throat and stepped forward, giving the man in the main seat, who hadn't spoken a word, a fawning smile.

"Yao Nian, look, the people have been brought back, shouldn't we..."

The year of Yao?

Is it the mysterious head of the He family who is rarely seen?

Mingdai's curious gaze passed over Mo Qingying's shoulder.

Previously, this person had been resting with his head down and eyes closed, half-supporting his temples, but now he raised his head and opened his eyes.
