He Yaonian has already hinted at it to this extent; if Mingdai still doesn't understand, then it would be an injustice.
They didn't even bother to think about why He Yaonian said that.
Mingdai sat up straight and gave a serious account of what had happened at the birthday party that evening.
Of course, she didn't tell He Yaonian about Mo Tingchuan's reaction or the unpleasant things some people said at the scene.
"Anyway, someone is trying to frame me, and even caused my child to have an allergic reaction and have to go to the hospital."
After summarizing, Mingdai secretly glanced at He Yaonian.
She didn't really want He Yaonian to help her with anything; it was just that this matter was weighing on her mind and she was feeling uneasy. He Yaonian kept asking her about it, and she had no one else to talk to, but telling He Yaonian didn't seem like a bad idea.
Do you know the person who delivered the chocolates?
He Yaonian immediately saw the key point.
What grudge have we ever held against each other?
He Yaonian glanced sideways and met Mingdai's gaze.
He narrowed his eyes dangerously.
"Or is there some connection between her and Mo Tingchuan?"
Mingdai was surprised; He Yaonian truly had a discerning eye.
He Yaonian suddenly said with realization, "No wonder you investigated all of Mo Tingchuan's assets. Did you already suspect something?"
Mingdai felt a little embarrassed.
It's really uncomfortable when someone else can figure out and understand what's going on between a husband and wife.
"What? Did I guess wrong?"
He Yaonian tilted his head in confusion.
After a moment of hesitation, he slowly said, "Did I misunderstand Mo Tingchuan?"
As He Yaonian finished speaking, Mingdai had a vague feeling that He Yaonian had suddenly become unhappy. The oppressive aura of his usually restrained, unyielding power quietly spread through the car again.
Mingdai looked bewildered, her hands unconsciously intertwining, her fingers pinching each other.
"no."
She shook her head and heard herself say, "There's no misunderstanding."
He Yaonian remained silent.
His captivating dark eyes stared at her casually, his scrutinizing gaze making Mingdai uneasy.
Mingdai looked away, trying her best not to meet He Yaonian's gaze.
Awkward.
That was really awkward.
She didn't know how to describe to He Yaonian the breakdown of her relationship with Mo Tingchuan.
She felt unparalleled shame for her initial choice.
It's her fault for having bad taste, for misjudging people, and for being so love-struck that she married an ungrateful beast.
Her remaining dignity prevented her from speaking.
It's too embarrassing to talk about.
He Yaonian was unaware of Mingdai's inner turmoil, but he could discern her hesitation from her expression.
It's not a misunderstanding, but I can't bear to let go.
The Bentley had already driven into the estate. The streetlights were bright, and occasionally a ray of light shone through the car window, flashing across the faces of the two people.
Neither of them spoke again, remaining silent until the car stopped.
The driver got off first.
Mingdai glanced at He Yaonian, who was sitting still.
She realized that He Yaonian had asked those questions out of concern for her.
"Third Uncle, that woman, she's Mo Tingchuan's mistress, and she's pregnant."
After Mingdai finished speaking, she didn't dare to look at He Yaonian's face. Her own face was burning hot, so she opened the car door and ran away like a dog chasing after its owner.
Everyone knows how much she likes Mo Tingchuan; she used the entire family's resources to support him back then.
In the end, she not only failed to achieve the marital bliss and harmony she desired, but also suffered Mo Tingchuan's infidelity and betrayal.
People care about their reputation; they live for the sake of their image.
She has the courage to go all out and risk everything, but she also has the helplessness of being sensitive, ashamed, and self-loathing.
Mingdai ran into the living room in one breath.
Mo Tingchuan sat on the sofa waiting for her.
Why are you only getting back now?
"What did you and your third uncle go about?"
As soon as Mo Tingchuan saw Mingdai, he immediately stood up and scrutinized her from head to toe.
Mingdai caught her breath and steadied herself.
He glanced behind him but didn't see He Yaonian come in.
She gave Mo Tingchuan a cold laugh.
"You're being ridiculous. What could your uncle and I possibly do? Do you expect us to risk our lives and speed back just because you sped back?"
Mo Tingchuan was speechless.
He did indeed speed back.
Mingdai's presence with her third uncle made him very uneasy.
He didn't know what Mingdai would say to his third uncle.
If he tells everyone everything, what chance will he have left in the He family?
"Where's Third Uncle? Why hasn't he come in?"
Mo Tingchuan made conversation.
Mingdai ignored him and started walking upstairs.
"Mingdai".
Mo Tingchuan darted forward and grabbed Mingdai's wrist.
"Why were you with Uncle San? Did you call him and ask him to come over?"
Mingdai was gripped so tightly that the pain became unbearable.
Struggling violently.
"Mo Tingchuan, you're hurting me! Let go!"
I'm asking you a question!
Mo Tingchuan not only refused to let go, but also maliciously used even more force.
What exactly do you want to do?
Mo Tingchuan was starting to regret letting Mingdai come to the He family with him.
He had hoped that Mingdai's favor with He Yaonian would be of some benefit to him.
But now Mingdai is completely hostile to him, constantly looking for his weaknesses and trying to get a divorce from him.
If she really told He Yaonian the truth, given He Yaonian's deep hatred for their family, he would definitely not allow them to stay in the He family any longer.
The dream of recognizing one's ancestors and returning to one's roots has become a distant dream.
"Mingdai, do you think your third uncle has time to deal with your trivial matters? Can't you be more mindful of your status? You're always bothering your third uncle, aren't you afraid of being laughed at?"
"If anyone's going to make fun of someone, it's you. You have the nerve to talk about me with all the rubbish you've done."
Mingdai struggled to break free from Mo Tingchuan's grip; she felt as if he was about to break her wrist.
