Chapter 29

Chapter 29

The spaceship that was following closely behind was destroyed, and Milo's breeding season soon ended. When Arthur and his crew's spaceship landed steadily on the Seventy-Fourth Planet, it seemed that everything was developing according to plan.

It's too quiet.

Arthur's heart beat rapidly twice, and he felt something was wrong.

Unlike the expected chaos, it was too quiet here. Apart from a few people on the street, there were no other living creatures. It was like an ambush that had been planned long ago.

"Hey! Where are the people?"

Seventeen opened his voice:

"You were so good when you were rebelling, why are you acting like a coward now—"

Arthur suddenly grabbed Seventeen and said, "Are you crazy?!"

"Good! Pretty impressive!"

Loud laughter echoed, Hurtu clapped his hands, and led countless court troops from behind Arthur's troops, surrounding Arthur's troops in an instant.

After laughing enough, Huertu narrowed his rat eyes.

"It's with this kind of momentum that His Majesty can be at ease. Commander Arthur, how come you're not as bold as a..." Huertu glanced at Seventeen, as if considering the title carefully: "Not as bold as an adjutant?"

Huertu paced arrogantly, and behind him was the spaceship that should have been blown up by Seventeen.

Huertu is not dead?

Arthur quickly exchanged glances with Seventeen, whose face also showed shock.

"Oh, Commander Arthur, don't be wary of me. I'm only here to serve as a military commander at the request of His Majesty." Huertu waved his hand, his gaze falling on Milo beside Arthur. "You two commanders, just pretend I don't exist."

Arthur stepped forward with his shoulder tilted, blocking Huertu's gaze.

Behind him, Milo's white eyelashes trembled.

"Sir, you're worrying too much. Since I have received His Majesty's order, I will definitely wipe out the rebels of the seventy-four stars."

Huertu curled the corners of his lips.

"Yeah?"

"No! Something's wrong, Commander Arthur!"

As soon as Huertu finished speaking, a soldier rushed out from the opposite street.

He was the one Seventeen had sent to spy on the situation when Arthur was confronting Hurtu.

The soldier was panting rapidly. Seventeen grabbed his shoulders and said, "Tell me slowly, what's going on now?"

"Empty, completely empty... all the female insects have run away!"

The army was in an uproar.

"Hold them down!"

At Huertu's command, several guards came up quickly.

Arthur's knees hit the ground, and he suddenly looked up and stared at Huertu who was standing tall in front of him.

Huertu pulled back his thick beard and grinned sinisterly:

"Arthur and his team failed in their duties and let the rebels escape, committing a serious mistake. They must be taken back to the main planet immediately and await punishment!"

"Hero!"

Milo struggled to stand.

"It has nothing to do with Sir Arthur. It's my fault—"

"Three days."

Arthur suddenly spoke, interrupting Milo.

He looked straight at Huertu, his heart beating almost to the limit in his chest, but his expression remained calm.

"I'll go back to the main planet with you, but Milo, give him three more days."

"Oh?" Huertu raised his chin. "What do you mean?"

"If Milo catches up with the rebels within three days, he will be set free."

"oh?"

Huertu raised his eyebrows, a little surprised:

"You don't fight for yourself, but you're really concerned about Commander Milo. Why?"

Arthur looked at Milo.

"No……"

Milo just shook his head blankly, his eyes a little red.

Arthur curled the corners of his lips to comfort Milo, and it was sincere.

"Because he is my queen."

"Varied--?"

Huertu couldn't control his expression. Not only Huertu, but even Milo was stunned.

No one expected Arthur to say that.

Huertu glanced at Milo quickly, the confusion in his eyes overcoming the ferocity, and he looked like a confused wine barrel.

"Oh, it couldn't be more true."

Seventeen whistled. Three guards pressed him down, but he still had some lingering wit in his voice:

"I don't want to agree to this marriage, but you see they are so in love, I can't stop them."

"……All right."

Huertu scratched his head, and then returned to his previous arrogant look.

He pointed at Arthur:

"Take him away."

"etc!"

Before the guards could completely release their restraints, Milo broke free from his restraints and ran towards Arthur.

"Why?"

Milo stared at Arthur's eyes, searching almost pleadingly.

"Why do you want to fight for these three days for me?"

Do you keep asking questions because you really don’t understand, or are you just trying to find a definitive answer?

Arthur simply leaned forward to close the distance between them.

A kiss brushed past the ear, the burning temperature carrying a bloody pain.

"Don't come back again."

Arthur's voice was so soft that it seemed like it would disappear in the wind at any moment.

"Take care of yourself, and..." Arthur lowered his gaze and touched her lightly with his fingertips, his expression softening unconsciously, "and him."

Just like when we came, there was a dark galaxy outside the porthole.

Arthur stared at the receding stars in a daze.

He had thought of many conditions to persuade Huertu, but he didn't expect that Huertu would agree to him so easily. Arthur was surprised but more relieved.

This way, at least—

At least what?

His dizzy vision suddenly focused, and Arthur belatedly felt a little palpitation.

I can't stay here any longer.

"Tu Tu."

Arthur shouted in his mind, but the mechanical rabbit did not jump out as enthusiastically as usual.

After shouting several times, there was still no response. Arthur frowned.

However, reality did not give him much time to explore.

It suddenly became bright outside the porthole, as if it were daytime.

Arthur's pupils suddenly shrank.

The fire from the explosion was reflected in his eyes, and almost at the same time, the spacecraft began to shake violently.

Arthur grabbed the railing and managed to steady himself.

"The spaceship was attacked!"

A guard hurried over to Arthur.

The next second, half of the guard's head exploded, and white brain matter mixed with blood splattered all over the wall.

The barrel moved slowly, aiming at Arthur's chest.

"etc!"

Arthur blurted out in a hurry.

Perhaps frightened by Arthur's posture or something, the female insect hesitated for a moment while holding the cannon barrel.

In a split second, Arthur grabbed the gun that the guard had thrown at his feet.

Bang!

The female insect's body softened, and then she fell backwards with a bang, a look of astonishment still lingering on her face.

Arthur thought about running deeper into the spaceship.

My heart is beating fast.

The corpses of guards were scattered all along the way, and the smell of blood and stench made him almost vomit bile.

The last bullet in the gun was used up.

"Tu Tu!"

Still no response.

In front of him, two female insects forced Arthur into a corner.

"Put your gun down and put your hands up."

Two black gun muzzles stared at Arthur, the cabin wall behind him was cold, and Arthur's hair stood on end.

He slowly placed the gun at his feet and raised his hands.

In the extreme silence, every slight sound seems particularly harsh.

Click——

The safety catch is pulled out.

"Wait a moment!"

Bang!

Gunshots and shouts rang out together.

The bullet dug into Arthur's shoulder and then exploded.

pain.

Warm blood flowed down his arm, quickly taking away his body temperature, and his consciousness gradually became hazy.

It hurts so much.

The two female insects started quarreling in front of him.

"Didn't I say wait a minute—"

"What are you waiting for? The boss said, no one will be left alive!"

Boss?

Arthur struggled to lift his head.

The second bullet was fired.

Consciousness suddenly fell into darkness.

——

"Where's the male master?!"

Milo jerked Hurtu by the collar.

"You did it?"

The young man's eyes were red, and Huertu was so scared that he stuttered.

"How would I know? We agreed that you would pretend to be tricked onto the spaceship and then create chaos to let you escape, making it look like you were buried in the interstellar space. It's you who didn't get along with Arthur, what does it have to do with me? Look, it was Arthur who suddenly said he would give you three days, that's none of my business; it was your men who went to intercept the ship, that's none of my business either. So, don't bother me! You have to let me go as agreed!"

Milo gritted his teeth and let go of Huertu. He stumbled and was barely caught by Seventeen.

"Boss, calm down first."

Seventeen took off his usual cynical disguise and frowned slightly:

"Why don't we first ask the female insects who were present at the time about the situation?"

As soon as he finished speaking, a female insect's head popped out from outside the door.

"Boss...big brother?"

The female insect's voice was a little weak.

Milo recognized at a glance that the other person was the female insect who last saw Arthur.

He closed his eyes and exhaled.

"Enter."

Seeing that the focus of the discussion had shifted, Huertu moved towards the door without making a sound.

The female insect stood in front of Milo with her hands and feet tied.

"Boss, I'm sorry." The female insect rubbed her hands together in front of her. "That person appeared so suddenly and so fast, he snatched the person away in an instant. We... couldn't stop him."

Milo clenched his hands so hard that his wrist bones cracked.

A nameless irritation surged in my heart.

He forced himself to calm down. "Could it be that person didn't leave any clues at all? Impossible. Even the most capable person is bound to miss something."

The female insect still shook her head.

"I... I really can't remember anything. It's all my fault." The female insect looked at the dark circles under Milo's eyes, her face filled with guilt. "If I had killed Arthur, the boss wouldn't be so distressed."

Milo looked up suddenly.

"kill?"

Seventeen almost lost control of the volume.

"Who told you to kill him?"

The female insect blinked and looked back.

Huertu paused at the door, and the three of them looked at him. After a two-second standoff, Huertu ran out the door.

The next second, the clumsy body fell heavily to the ground.

A bright red hole appeared on his thigh, and blood gushed out like a fountain.

His usually arrogant face was distorted by fear, and Huertu began to cry:

"Please, please, Commander Milo, let me go, let me go. It was my fault for wanting to kill Arthur, but his disappearance really has nothing to do with me. Please spare my life!"

"OK."

There was no expression on Milo's face. A few drops of blood stained the ends of his snow-white hair red, making him look inexplicably cruel.

He slowly squatted down, but his hands moved ruthlessly.

The barrel of the gun turned half a circle, and then suddenly moved downward, stabbing deeply into the muzzle of Huertu's thigh.

Hurtu's screams echoed throughout the spaceship.

"Run away."

Milo stood up and glared coldly at Huertu who was wriggling like a maggot on the ground.

"The spaceship is so big, you can escape anywhere you want."

Huertu struggled and twisted, but only left a short trail of blood.

Looking at this scene, the female insect next to her slapped her forehead.

"I remember now. If there's anything special about it, it's that the person who kidnapped Arthur was particularly familiar with the structure of that spaceship!"

Another gunshot rang out.

Huertu's body suddenly straightened up, and then he died completely.

White smoke rose from the muzzle, blurring the eyes and eyebrows of the young man behind the gun.

Seventeen's voice was a little cold:

"I know who that person is."
