Chapter 83: Uncovering the Secret of the Old Hospital
When Li Yu and his colleagues pushed open the doors of the old hospital, a chilling atmosphere enveloped them. The hospital, with a century of history, was said to have been the site of a major medical accident long ago, resulting in the deaths of many patients. Since then, the hospital has been abandoned, becoming a haunted house that evokes fear.
They moved forward cautiously in the hospital corridor, observing the surrounding environment as they walked. The peeling paint on the walls, the broken tiles on the floor, and the musty smell in the air all made people feel creepy.
"Look, what's on this wall?" Xiao Wang suddenly stopped and asked, pointing to a painting on the wall.
They took a closer look and saw a painting on the wall of a doctor in a white coat holding a sharp scalpel. In the lower right corner of the painting was a line of words: "Don't trust anyone."
"The meaning of this painting seems a bit weird." Xiao Wang felt a little uneasy.
Li Yu comforted him, "Don't worry, we're just investigating here, nothing will happen. Let's move on."
They continued walking and came to a closed operating room. The door of the operating room was half open, and it was pitch black inside, making it difficult to see what was going on inside. Li Yu picked up a flashlight and shone it inside.
In the light of the flashlight, they saw a dissected body lying on the operating table, covered with a white cloth. Li Yu felt a little disgusted, but forced himself to continue observing.
Suddenly, they heard a voice: "Who are you? Why are you here?"
Li Yu and his colleagues suddenly became nervous and took out their flashlights to illuminate their surroundings. They saw a doctor in a white coat standing behind them, holding a scalpel in his hand.
"Who are you? Why are you here?" Li Yu asked cautiously.
The doctor sneered: "I am the doctor of this hospital and the guardian of this place. You should not come here. This place is full of evil."
"We just want to uncover the secrets here and find out what happened." Li Yu tried to calm the other party's emotions.
The doctor's eyes widened and he said excitedly, "You can't do this! The secret here cannot be revealed! Otherwise, you will regret it!"
Just as the doctor was about to leave, Xiao Wang suddenly discovered a secret passage in the wall. He pointed at it excitedly and said, "Look, there's a secret passage here! Maybe we can find the answer through here."
The doctor was stunned, then sighed helplessly: "Since you have already discovered it, then it's up to you. But you must be careful, this place is full of dangers."
Following the doctor's warning, Li Yu and his colleagues decided to venture into the secret passage to uncover the secrets of the old hospital. They walked into the darkness step by step, their hearts filled with fear and expectation.
Chapter 84: Secret Passage Exploration
Li Yu and his colleagues followed the doctor into the secret passage. In the darkness, they relied solely on flashlights to illuminate the path ahead. The passage was narrow and eerie, the air thick with the smell of dampness and mold. Everyone's heartbeat raced, and tension and fear filled the air.
They walked forward cautiously, not knowing where this passage would lead them. From time to time, ancient murals appeared on the walls of the passage, depicting strange scenes that made people shudder.
"Everyone be careful, there may be a trap here." Li Yu reminded.
They were moving forward slowly when suddenly Xiao Wang slipped and nearly fell. He looked down and saw a hole in the ground.
"Everyone be careful, there is a trap here!" Xiao Wang shouted.
They quickly bypassed the cave and continued on. Soon, they came to a fork in the road, with passages extending to the left, right, and front.
"Which direction should we go?" Xiao Wang asked.
Li Yu thought for a moment and said, "I think we should choose the middle passage, because both the left and right passages look very dangerous."
They decided to follow Li Yu's advice and head towards the middle passage. After walking for a while, they found that the passage was getting narrower and narrower, and it was almost only wide enough for one person to pass through. This made them even more nervous, and they moved forward cautiously.
Suddenly, a strange laugh came from the front, which made people feel creepy.
"Everyone be careful, there may be danger!" Li Yu reminded nervously.
They quickened their pace, wanting to leave this dangerous place as quickly as possible. However, at this moment, the passage suddenly became extremely narrow, and everyone had to line up and move forward. Only then did they realize that the passage was actually a spiral staircase.
They walked down carefully, each step filled with fear. After walking for an unknown amount of time, they finally reached a basement. The basement was dimly lit, but they could see some strange devices and bottles and jars.
"This looks like a laboratory." Xiao Wang said.
They began to search for clues in the laboratory, when suddenly the basement door was slammed shut, trapping them inside with no way out.
"What should we do?" Xiao Wang asked anxiously.
Li Yu carefully observed the basement and found a vent. He said happily, "There is a vent here. We can escape through the vent."
They quickly climbed into the ventilation duct and found that it was very narrow and could only accommodate one person. In order to avoid crowding, they decided to go through the ventilation duct one by one.
Xiao Wang was the first to climb in, and soon after, he reached the surface through the ventilation duct. Li Yu followed suit. They found the ventilation vent and rescued their colleagues one by one.
