While eating the fish, Cheng Yu secretly glanced at Bai Yan.
Bai Yan was concentrating on peeling shrimps, his expression calm and serious. His fingers gently slid across the shrimp shells, his movements smooth and elegant, as if he was completing a delicate work of art.
Looking at his appearance, the anger in my heart seemed to be slightly relieved by Bai Yan's focused attitude.
Cheng Yu pursed his lips, lowered his head and continued to eat his meal. He was no longer as angry as before.
After dinner, Cheng Yu curled up on the sofa and watched TV series, leaning lazily on the soft cushions.
His hands rested casually on the pillow, his eyes fixed on the TV screen, occasionally squinting slightly, as if all the strength in his body had been stretched out.
Bai Luoqi came over stealthily and squeezed in to sit next to Cheng Yu.
"I'm telling you," Bai Luoqi whispered, his eyes occasionally glancing towards the stairs, "Don't forgive your uncle so quickly. He's a very bad man."
Salvatore was listening on the side, thank goodness it wasn't a human, otherwise he would have rolled his eyes to the sky.
Did this human cub forget that he even existed?
Cheng Yu had a faint smile on his lips. He raised his eyebrows slightly and looked at Bai Luoqi lazily while hugging the pillow. "Why?"
Bai Luoqi crossed his arms, frowned seriously, and acted like a little adult. "He always bullies you! Every time you get angry, he doesn't comfort you, but only uses food to soothe you. Isn't that infuriating?"
Cheng Yu couldn't help but laugh out loud, throwing the remote control on the sofa, and asked with a hint of curiosity: "Then?"
"Of course, leave him out in the cold! Let him know that you are not so easy to bully!" Bai Luoqi waved his little fist with a firm tone.
Salvatore lay on the edge of the sofa, his tail gently sweeping the floor, and silently complained in his heart: The brain circuits of human cubs are indeed completely different from those of adults.
Its eyes rolled, and it stretched out a paw and gently patted Bai Luoqi's leg.
Bai Luoqi just glanced at it and said, "You also think I'm right, right?" Then he continued to give Cheng Yu advice.
Salvatore: ...
Anyway, it has reminded me.
Cheng Yu looked at Bai Luoqi's serious expression and found it a little funny, but he didn't want to discourage his enthusiasm.
"good."
Bai Luoqi was satisfied and went back to his room humming a little tune.
Cheng Yu watched his back as he left, until he was out of sight, then he glanced at the peeking black panther out of the corner of his eye.
A leopard glanced around nonchalantly, its dark red eyes flashing twice.
Cheng Yu waved his hand and took the sleeping Antonio back.
Neither the master nor the contracted beast is a good thing, especially the master.
When Salvatore saw that the cow cat in the nest was gone, he immediately stood up, wagged his tail and rubbed it against Cheng Yu's feet, then considerately placed his tail on Cheng Yu's knees.
It's none of its business.
Cheng Yu ignored it and turned to go upstairs.
Salvatore: It's really none of my business.
The leopard's claws hooked the carpet again and again. Tonight was destined to be a night for sleeping alone.
Cheng Yu went upstairs and returned to his room, locked both doors, shook the box in his hand, listened to the jingling sound, and lay down on his bed with satisfaction.
Originally, he hadn't thought of doing this, but Bai Yan used Leopard to eavesdrop on their conversation.
Humph, go to sleep.
After Bai Yan severed the connection with his contracted beast, he hurried downstairs to find his wife.
He stood in the middle of the living room, his eyes scanning the sofa and the surrounding space, but did not see Cheng Yu.
"Where are the people?" Bai Yan asked Salvatore.
Salvatore didn't want to pay any attention to him either. He turned his head and faced his butt towards him, his tail gently sweeping the ground.
Bai Yan saw that he couldn't get anything out of him, so he frowned slightly, walked upstairs, and when he reached the door of Cheng Yu's room, he knocked gently.
"Cheng Yu?" He called out tentatively, his voice soft.
There was no movement inside the door.
He knocked twice more, raising his voice slightly, "Cheng Yu, I'm coming in."
The door didn't budge. He turned the doorknob and found it was locked.
Bai Yan's mouth twitched, and he whispered helplessly, "Wife, open the door."
The room was still quiet, as if no one was there.
"Cheng Yu, I know I was wrong. Can you please open the door?" Bai Yan stood against the door for a while and sighed slightly. He really didn't mean it, but he couldn't stop halfway through.
Ding Dong.
Bai Yan's laptop rang, it was a message from Cheng Yu.
[Wife: I'll forgive you if I sleep alone for one night.]
Now, I have to go to sleep even if I don’t want to.
Bai Yan looked at the words on the screen, and a smile finally appeared on the corner of his mouth, and the corners of his mouth rose unconsciously.
He sighed again, reached out and touched the door panel, and whispered: "Okay, then I'll sleep by myself. Next time you get angry, just tell me directly, don't hold it in."
After saying that, he didn't bother any more and turned back to his room.
Inside the door, Cheng Yu had actually heard Bai Yan's voice a long time ago. He was curled up in bed with the quilt in his arms, the corners of his mouth slightly raised, but there was a hint of cunning in his eyes.
He never holds it in.
"Hmm," Cheng Yu murmured, turned over, put his legs on the dinosaur pillow beside him, lazily opened his light brain, and looked at the few messages Bai Yan had just sent with a smile.
【Bai Yan: Go to bed early, don't stay up late. 】
[Bai Yan: What do you want to eat tomorrow? I'll make it for you.]
[Bai Yan: Also, don't be angry, I was really wrong.]
Cheng Yu stared at these words and wanted to laugh more and more. He threw his laptop away, buried his head in the pillow, and laughed out loud.
After a moment, he couldn't help but turn on the light computer and started editing the information.
Wife: I want corn and egg custard and sesame rolls.
After sending the message, Cheng Yu closed the computer with satisfaction, wrapped himself in the quilt, and prepared to go to sleep.
On the other side, Bai Yan stared at the screen of the computer. When he saw this message, a real smile finally appeared on the corner of his mouth.
He stood by the bed holding his laptop and shook his head gently: "I guess he's not angry anymore."
Without Cheng Yu by his side, he even felt a little uncomfortable lying down. He tossed and turned several times, and finally simply closed his eyes and forced himself to fall asleep.
The starry sky is bright, and the stars are scattered in the vast courtyard of the Bai family manor.
The night air is slightly cool, with a hint of the lingering fragrance of grass and trees.
Under the moonlight, a small figure hid behind the low bushes, moving cautiously under the cover of night.
