Chapter 278 The Mad Princess X The Wild Dog General

As the night deepens and the dew grows heavy, the red candles in the tent provide warmth.

The princess, dressed in a red wedding gown, sat gracefully on the bed, her eyes brimming with tears, yet she clenched her teeth to keep them from falling. Her pitiful appearance only fueled the desire of the man reeking of alcohol before her.

She is Jian Zhizhen, the eldest princess of the Northern Yan Kingdom. She has been pampered since childhood, but not long ago her royal uncle rebelled, killed her father and brothers, seized power, and sent her to the southern border for a political marriage.

The crude and vulgar man before her was her new husband. It was said that this king of the Southern Frontier was tyrannical, and no woman who fell into his hands could survive more than three days.

Her uncle married her off to the family for two reasons: first, to secure a temporary peace, and second, to have her die at the hands of the King of Southern Xinjiang, so as to prevent her from returning to seek revenge.

The King of Southern Xinjiang grabbed her soft, boneless hand, but the princess didn't want him to touch her at all, so she turned away to the side.

Unexpectedly, this action completely enraged the King of Southern Xinjiang. He slapped the princess onto the bed and then pinned her down the next second.

"Just a plaything, and you dare to resist? You think you're so great?"

He spoke dismissively and roughly tore open the princess's wedding dress.

Zhenzhen clenched her teeth, and her originally charming eyes shone with an astonishing brightness, sharp as a wolf.

She pulled out the gold hairpin from her hair, her long, black hair cascading down like a waterfall. She raised the hairpin and thrust it towards the Southern King's neck—

However, in the next instant, a cold light flashed, and the head of the Southern Border King fell off and rolled off the bed!

The princess instinctively closed her eyes to block the splattering blood.

When he opened his eyes again, there was a tall figure standing in front of the bed, dressed in military uniform, his face hidden in shadow, holding a long sword in his right hand, from which blood dripped.

Jian Zhizhen recognized him at a glance. He was Qin Yubai, the God of War known to everyone in Northern Yan. He spent ten years rising from a street ruffian to a general who controlled all the military power in Northern Yan. With his own strength, he enabled the turbulent Northern Yan to have a place to stay in the chaotic world.

A dark glint flashed in the princess's eyes as she cursed him inwardly for arriving so late; if he hadn't come sooner, she would have taken matters into her own hands!

On the surface, she had to feign a startled awakening, shoving the headless corpse off the bed and cowering at the foot of the bed. Her face was covered in blood and tears, her clothes were disheveled, her bare shoulders trembled slightly, and her clear eyes were filled with terror.

She hadn't uttered a single word, yet the handsome general before her was left with a dry mouth.

Qin Yubai stared at her blankly for a long time, then suddenly reached out and pulled her into his arms: "Princess, since you are marrying to secure peace for Northern Yan, you can marry me too!"

Jian Zhizhen seemed afraid of him, reaching out to push him away: "Let go... let go of me... don't touch me..."

Having witnessed him behead someone with a single sword stroke, a naive princess should naturally be afraid.

The princess thought she had acted very well.

However, her fair arms were completely ineffective in providing any resistance, especially since the man before her was a seasoned general.

Her struggles only caused her clothes to open wide, and the blood on her face became alluringly bright; every inch of her skin was a silent invitation.

Qin Yubai's throat bobbed, and his eyes grew even more intense.

Back then, he was just a street urchin. But one day, when the princess went on a tour, he caught a glimpse of her and from then on, he had a purpose in life.

He risked his life to achieve his current status and power, and finally he was qualified to stand by her side.

But when he returned from the battlefield, he heard that she had already been married off.

How could he accept this? So he led his troops and stormed into the Southern King's palace overnight.

He was determined; even if she hated him, he would still have her!

He leaned down and forcefully captured the princess's lips, his tongue forcing open her teeth. His hot breath filled his entire body. He had no experience and could only rely on his overflowing love to brute force his way through her.

"Let...let go..." Jian Zhizhen could only make intermittent sounds from the kiss, but her voice had an inexplicable softness.

To General Qin, this was a sign that she was gradually accepting him, so he became even more audacious. His calloused hands, which had been wielding a sword to kill enemies, roamed over the princess's delicate, alabaster-like body, causing her to tremble uncontrollably, and her voice grew increasingly sweet.

The general, stripped of his armor, was a complete novice in this matter. He had lost all patience. He lifted the princess's legs, bent down his muscular waist, and, as if setting up an army, slowly and patiently took her in.

The princess closed her eyes, trying to suppress the pain, but tears still welled up in her eyes.

Her soft sobs were intermittent, which made the general feel guilty and heartbroken, but his body became even harder and hotter.

At this point, the princess had no choice but to accept her fate. Her eyes reddened, and she took the initiative to hug his neck and pull him down.

She sobbed in his ear, her voice trembling: "Today there is the King of the Southern Frontier, tomorrow there will be the King of the Northern Frontier. I am nothing but a plaything for the sake of temporary peace. How many can the general kill?"

“In that case,” General Qin kissed her eye with fervor, his words muffled, “I want you to be the empress of the dynasty.”

"So that no one in this world will dare to control your destiny again."

When Zhenzhen heard the answer she wanted, she cupped his face in her hands and offered herself to him wholeheartedly.

That night, desire filled the bedchamber.

The shouts of battle outside the palace were deafening.

...

When Jian Zhizhen woke up again, it was already past midnight.

Qin Yubai and his sword were not here; the only smell in the air was blood.

A set of neatly folded clothes lay beside the pillow.

She slowly put on her clothes, got out of bed, and kicked away the ugly human head at her feet without expression.

Suddenly, the doors of the main hall were pushed open from the outside.

Outside the red tent, Qin Yubai knelt respectfully on the ground: "Welcome back to the court, Princess."
